Weird post for sure,
the Edge Maybe out of range of the safe fuel range of the helicopter
On a TA , Equinox had to travel 1/2 day back to Funchal to meet the helicopter

Me too! Are they just ignoring the past guests? After all, we know what they are doing with pricing and the fact that X is just not that attractive anymore.
You'll find us in MSC Yacht Club, but that is going up, too. At least they offer something for the higher price.
From this post on FB , it sound like Yacht Club or stay home
“Well we have just left the ship and I’m sorry to say of the worse cruises we have ever done. Our cabin was so old and dated. The furniture. was all scratched and damaged. The sofa covered in stains. We could write our name in the dust on the mirror. Spoke with the room
Steward but he just laughed. The food is appalling
The buffet is like a war zone people fighting to get to the food and will go out of their way to push you
Tables are just left with piles of dirty dishes everywhere it’s beyond disgusting. Dinner in the main dining room dreadful too. You sit at the table and nobody comes near you and u get to a point you have to ask for someone they just don’t seem to have basic service standards and food appallingWe had the full drinks package and were told no to drinks we wanted even before they looked at our card to see our package
The staff really don’t give a ……. About there passengers. Never heard from the captain once and was there even a cruise director on board as she was never seen or heard ……
All I can say is never again would I give MSC my hard earned money.
I’m staying loyal to royal carribean / celebrity now as they give you 5 star service.”

Does any purposely buy inside than do a move up?
Is it usually cheaper this way?
Inside: 809
Balcony: 995
Difference is 186 x 2 = 372
Would a move up be less than that usually? I'm reading the move up and it seem so.
What happens if there are no balconies available in a move up bid ?

Did people find it easy to get the benefit as canadians? Interested in possibly getting it as sail princess.
Why would it be hard?
never had a problem with RCL/ Celebrity -
Group pricing is not as good as it was a couple years ago
our TA group price on up coming fall Transatlantic was $4200 CAD for 2 in a V2 cabin, included taxes, drink package , wifi and refundable
we were able to book a basic V2 for $1666 cad with taxes , we are Elite , so the perks will be enough for us
our OBC will cover tips ,
so $2600 for drinks is a lot
a couple years ago group price was about the same as a basic cruise

I go to the X webpage and in the upper right hand corner is a link titled “Offers”. When you click on that link one of the options is Excited Deals which brings you to this page https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-deals/exciting-deals?icid=spclff_tctclp_xct_hm_other_206
Once on that page I click the “From Canada” link at the top right which then brings me to Canadian pricing of the exciting deals.
Good Luck.See post #22

Wow....that's just crazy...
Crazy yes, but the deposit for cabins have always been high , even on an inside cabin we had to pay a deposit of $480CAD a person since 2016, most of cruise before that were bought after final payment date
here the invoice for a Suez Canal cruise in 2017, booked in 2016 , got lucky ,it was sale of $50 deposit
but in the fine it ask for $960 for the cabin, and a suite would be double
and the military discount was better back than it was $280 pp, instead of $100 pp they have now

Is this a daily thing until you are approaching North America again? One hour per day? That would mean one hour more sleep per day which my husband will love.
On our next TA Lisbon to Port Carnival it a 5 hour time difference
Between Tenerife and Hamilton is 4 hour and 5 seadays , so it will change almost everyday
and than one change after Hamilton

The biggest difference is more sea days and more activities on the ship. On an eastbound cruise you 'lose' five / six hours - clocks are usually set forward one hour at noon and the days get a little shorter - on westbound cruises the clocks are set back one hour at 2 am - nights with longer sleep. In both cases, you cross the Atlantic without jet lag.
Celebrity has always change their clocks at 2 am on the 5 eastbound cruise we have been

What change or changes causing this? I am returning to Celebrity after considerable absence and accepted the fact that it is no longer the Celebrity of pre-2010 I am familiar with.
What is the same since 2010 🤣

Also for Suites it is now either a $900 pp deposit OR 10% whichever is higher. In our case if they want to pretend they are a Premium Carrier -- we will be booking with a real premium cruise line instead.
I would love 10% deposit 😁
on our November cruise our deposit is 58% of the cruise price

Love what @spunks has shared as we are about to do our first TA cruise.
BUT, this time without excursions and wandering time in cities and towns also opens you up to spending more time eating and drinking.... we will definitely work to control this....
That may be true for the first couple of seadays but by the end of cruises you should be to your usual eating & drinking patterns

My husband and I are booked on the June 9 sailing of the Solstice to Alaska. We are booked in an Aqua Class cabin. I made some move up bids for all the suites and on Monday night, there were exactly 2 Royal Suites, 8 Celebrity Suites and 7 Sunset Suites still available. Today, I asked my TA to price any suite for me as I wanted to just pay for the upgrade outright. He called me back and informed me that there are no more suites available and the sailing is all sold out. I looked to check and the sailing is not even coming up when I do a search.
Is it really possible that they sold all those open suites in a couple of days? It's still 38 days before the cruise...
yes, they could have all sold out in the last couple of days
