  1. Still no reimbursement as per their website and an email I had originally.  Has anyone else yet managed to get their reimbursement.  I've tried ringing Celebrity a few times and spoken to different people and no one seems to know anything about it.

Hi, I submitted my receipts for PCR test reimbursements with Celebrity about a month ago, as per their website, and the money hasn't yet been reimbursed.  I've chased Celebrity but haven't had a response. Has anyone else requested a reimbursement and, if so, how long did it take?  Many thanks.

    I've booked my parents a Boots PCR test for their upcoming cruise and I went into Boots today to see if it's the same as the rt-PCR test which Celebrity ask for and the pharmacist said it's different and it's a test which isn't offered in many places.  He found it strange they were asking for that as he said not any holiday companies are which he was aware of.  I am therefore waiting for Celebrity to confirm in an email if a Boots PCR test is acceptable.

    Hi, this is the issue I had as my parents needed a printed boarding pass.  I checked in for them online and when I had done that it said I now needed to download the app.  I did that on my own phone but that's no good for them and I couldn't see a way to print it from there.  About an hour later I went back to my parents check in page and there was a link to 'print xpress pass' so I was able to print paper copies for them.  Therefore they won't need to use an app at all.

    Go back to the “view current reservations” page. On mine, there is a link there in the cruise summary box that says “print Xpress pass”. Alternatively, download the app to your phone, log-in as them, then Screen shot and print the pass.  

    I've just tried that and in the summary box it says 'View boarding pass'.  I click on that and it says to download the app.  That's a good idea about doing it on my phone.  I'll try that now.

    I've just managed to do the check in but I can't print a boarding pass.  I can print the luggage labels.  It says I have to download the app for the boarding pass.  My parents, who I'm doing this for, are elderly and don't have a smartphone so I am at a loss as to what to do now.  Not sure I can get my mother up to speed with a smartphone and technology before they go 😁

    Thank you for this Bluewake.  My parents had an email to say the check in was open a couple of days ago.  I signed in yesterday and could see that the check in was open but I didn't have time to do it at the time as I was about to go out. I've tried to sign in today but just get a blank white page when I try to sign in.  I am surprised that the check in has opened so late as the cruise is only in a couple of weeks.

Hi, I am trying to sign in to my account on the Celebrity website to do my online check in.  I signed in yesterday and could see my cruises but didn't have time to complete the check in so am doing it today.   However, when I click on 'Sign in' I just get a blank page.  I've tried various browsers (Google, IE and Edge) and it the same with them all.  I have tried to ring Celebrity but couldn't get through so just wondering if anyone else has this issue today. Many thanks.

  10. To my knowlegde, the four complimentary dining rooms (American Icon, Grande, Chic, and Silk) all serve the same food from the same menu that changes nightly. The only difference is decor. You are assigned to a particular dining room based on whether you are in traditional or My Time dining. You will see that assignment ion your SeaPass card.

     

    Thank you for the reply. We sailed on the Anthem a couple of years ago and the 4 dining rooms (American Icon, Grande, Chic, and Silk) had different menus and we were able to book them before we sailed. American Icon was steaks etc, Silk was chinese. We could book them for different times each night. It's a shame that Ovation isn't the same then.

  11. Our daughter tried to do the very same last year. We learned from her that when she called P&O, she just hit a brick wall with them. They told her it couldn't be done

     

    I rang and ordered the gift a few days ago. I wanted it to be delivered on Mothers Day (26th) but was told it could only be delivered on the day of departure (yesterday 18th). I said that would be ok then - it would just be an early Mothers Day surprise. However, late on the 17th (day before cruise) my parents had a call from P&O to say the cruise was overbooked and would they mind changing cabins. The deal they were offered was good so they changed. I didn't know this until lateish the night before so I rang P&O to change the gift to their new cabin (first thing on the 18th, day of cruise) and was told that the gift list had already been sent to the ship and their original cabin was down to get the gift but they would email the ship immediately to get it changed and they were very helpful. My parents rang late last night to say that the ship's sailing would be delayed from 6pm to 10:30pm and when I spoke to them at that point, they hadn't had the gift delivered. I do hope whoever was in their original cabin wasn't enjoying their champagne instead :rolleyes:

  12. Just out of interest, where did you look when you failed to find any details of gift purchases? My experience of browsing P&O and Cunard's web sites is that it's quite difficult to avoid running into the gift catalogue at some point, particularly if you search the FAQ with the term 'gift'. Given how keen they are to flog value added stuff like chocolate covered strawberries and vastly overpriced champagne etc there must be money to be made advising them on how to make those extra sales...

     

    I went to the P&O site and clicked on Menu on the top right of the home page and searched through that. I then went to the sitemap at the bottom of the home page. However, I've just noticed a search icon to the left of the menu at the top and put 'gift' in that and the option came up. Not sure why I missed that before when searching.
