  1. Hi Mura,

Thank you so much for your live review. Just a few questions. How are

the weather and the seas, and can you give us the name of your tour guide in Tenerife? We are booked on the transatlantic next Nov, so we are looking forward to getting a lot of information from you.....

We had booked an inside guarantee and received our cabin assignment today. Thank goodness we got one of the midship insides, so we are happy campers. This will be our first time on Oceania.

    Thanks again.

  2. We did the 11 night Venice to Rome on Silhouette last month and had direct flights out of Atlanta both ways. 11 hour flight home from Rome. One of the best cruises we have ever been on and we've been on over 25. We booked our own air, but choice air has very good prices to and back from Europe. We are going on the Norwegian fjords cruise in May and saved about $200.00pp through choice air.

You will love this cruise. There were 2 formal nights on the 11 night.

  3. Hi Bob and Chris,

We were on the Celebrity Silouhette 3 weeks ago to the Adriatic from Venice to Rome and had a fabulous time. The ship and food were excellent. We usually book with Princess, but we do prefer Celebrity now. We were in cabin 6158, which was a midship obstructed balcony, but even though the lifeboats were directly below us, looking out straight was not obstructed at all. Our friends were in cabin 6156 and these 2 cabins were hump cabins, but cabin 6156 had a larger balcony and would book either of these cabins in a heartbeat again. Very quiet and close to the elevator. You can't go wrong on the Silhouette.

As far as formal nights, our husbands wore sport jackets with and without a tie, and there was no problem at all.

The itinerary was intense, but so worth it. Loved every minute of it.

  4. Hi Ruth,

First of all I want to thank you for all you wonderful and informative information on Israel. You could have a full time job answering all the questions.Ha!Ha!

Wanted to know if you could recommend a store in Jerusalem to buy reasonably priced tallis and yalmakas. Our grandson will have his bar mitzvah soon, and we wanted to bring them home from Israel.

    Thank you.

    Ellen :)

  5. Just saw your post on the Africa boards about a tour guide in Israel. We are on the Azamara Journey on Nov. 8th and just signed up with Joel Berman. He came very highly recommended on these boards from people who have already used him. He is more expensive than Avi tours, but only requires a 20% deposit with the balance due after the tour. For us, the deposit is refundable up until the end of Aug. He also refunds it if for some reason the ship will not dock in Israel. We are doing 2-day tours, not an overnight. His e-mail address is jtours@netvision.net.il. Hope this helps.

    Ellen:)
