  1. Thanks for confirming that the sports bar does have food, but very disappointing to see that the wings are NOT free! Can you tell us whether the free specialty dining for Black Card members is the experience menu? Thanks.

Update: I see that you mentioned that you don't know about Black Card meals.

I've just emailed my PR contacts to get an answer about the black card inclusions, as well as whether Venchi items are covered under beverage packages that include gelato and specialty coffees. Will report back when I hear from them.

  2. Reading on Cruise Critic the Ipanema restaurant is only open for dinner, and the Bayside buffet is only open for breakfast and lunch.

So basically on elegant nights those of us who won´t dress up and don´t want to go to the MDRs dressed down only have the Marketplace buffet as an option unless we want to pay extra.

That's correct. Biscayne Bay Buffet grill, pizzeria and "Family and Kids Corner" are open until 4 p.m. on sea days (5 p.m. on port days), so you could eat there if you're willing to eat dinner early. Biscayne is nearly the same as Marketplace, though, so even if it were open later, it would be the same experience. Biscayne is also more geared toward family dining. (If it matters, one of my tablemates went to elegant night in the MDR wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, and nobody seemed to mind.)

  3. I know nobody asked for these, but since this seems to be the most comprehensive thread about Seaside, here are some sample dailies. I've just included the abridged version, rather than the entire shell. Please keep in mind these were European ports, so some things might change. (Apologies for the highlighting on some of them!)

  4. Are all the cocktails at the Welcome Bar included in the Classic drink package? It is my understanding that any drink without an asterisks is included and I don't see any in that menu. Some of those drinks sound very good.

Hi Calgaryhhr. I'm sorry, but I don't know for certain. Everyone has different tastes, but I agree with you -- those were the tastiest looking drinks I saw onboard. (Sadly, I didn't actually try any of them since I was working. ;))

  5. Ashley, I'm sure several of us would be ETERNALLY grateful if you could take a snapshot of ONLY the "Dining Experience" part of each specialty restaurant's menu. There's many of us trying to determine if we're going to take advantage of one of the two discounted dining experiences available for purchase pre-cruise. Thanks for your updates and reviews!! I'm no longer onboard, but the Dining Experience menus are included on all of the full menus. It's right there at the top left of the first photo.

  6. Hi guys. I've been asked on another thread for photos of bar menus from Seaside. Rather than posting them there, I'm starting a new thread since there are so many pictures. If anyone has any that I missed, please feel free to add! (Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of the Champagne Bar menu or the one from The Haven or the Garage Club. My guess is that the last two are similar to what's offered at other bars onboard, but I'm not positive.)

I'll start with the Sports Bar:

    • Thanks 1
  7. Am I reading the Elegant menu correctly? They are charging for Ribeye, surf and turf, as well as lobster on Elegant night? Huh? Also, is the steak always available under classics on regular dining nights? Thanks!

They charge for those items every night, including elegant night. Yes, the New York strip is on the menu every night under classics.

  8. Was viewing a video on YouTube for a deluxe YC "suite". Looks like there are soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower? What happened to the Med bath amenity products in tubes that we had on Divina?

Not to worry! I was onboard last week and toured the YC cabins. All have the MSC branded toiletries -- shampoo, conditioner, lotion and bar soap (not sure about shower gel, apart from what's in the showers), along with shower caps and bathrobes. (Please pardon the appearance of my Batphone. :D)
