My connecting flight home from Rome had a time change making it impossible to catch my connecting flight.  I received an email directly from the airline about the change and the need to rebook the 2nd leg of my flight home.  I book through Air2Sea & I’m still waiting on confirmation of my new flight.  In all fairness to A2S, my cruise is more than 30 days away so I’m sure they are working with patrons with current flight issues 1st.  

Thanks for the responses.  I was actually able to get in touch with an agent in Crown & Anchor but he did have any knowledge on the shore excursions.  He did suggest that I email RCCL Shorex to further information.  Shorex’s replied that they will get back to me within 36 hours.  I will share any info I receive on this board as well as on the roll call board.

I'm book on the Odyssey of Seas leaving 08/30/22.  I've been waiting for this trip for almost 2 years and quite anxious to book my tours. I logged on to see what tours are  available and I'm only given the option to select tours for Cyprus and Turkey.  I've tried calling RCCL to inquire if excursions to Israel, Greece & Crete would be added, but if you have tried lately you know it's almost impossible to speak to a C/S rep.  If anyone else has booked this cruise and you have any tour information you can provide, please let me know.  I just may have to change my booking if RCCL only plan to stop at 2 locales on a 12 night cruise.

Once I got it going and could get in my email, my results came back negative - three more days on Mariner!!

 

I wanted to do Johnny rockets for lunch but they do not open until 3 so I am going to playmakers. I've got to find something that is not going to spoil my dinner again lol.

I cruised on the Mariner a few weeks ago and the internet was lousy then.  It’s not your phone, it’s the ships internet.

Thank you all you all for the mostly helpful replies. I haven’t cruise out of San Juan in many years so I do appreciate the suggestions.  It’s probably best spend the night in PR then travel home on Monday.  I will only cruise if COVID testing is mandatory for boarding.  

I have a cruised scheduled for April 2021(hopefully the pandemic will be under control by then).  I will be flying out of FLL (Fort Lauderdale) to 

San Juan but returning into Miami.  I’ve booked a return flight leaving San Juan approx. 9:15 am.  I know most ships get into port around 6-7 am.  Opinions please.  Am I cutting it too close to make my return flight home?

I’ve booked a cruise to France & Spain leaving out of Southampton, England on May 28, 2021on the Anthem of the Seas.  I’m seriously considering booking the same ship leaving on June 4th which would make my trip a 14 day back to back.  I figured I might as well see a little more of Europe while I’m there since I don’t know if or when I’ll have the opportunity to ever visit Europe again.  The June 4 cruise includes stops in Belgium and The Netherlands.  Okay, back to my question, when doing a back to back cruise are you able to stay in the same cabin for both cruises.  Do you have to disembark at the end of the first cruise, go through the screening process again, then embark for the 2nd part of my journey?

Don’t expect any real bargains when purchasing jewelry onboard a ship because the ship will always comes out on top.  I did purchase an Effy rose gold & diamond ring onboard a few years ago & I love it and wear it often.  Effy’s NYC store could not size the ring (I have large fingers & wear a size 9) so the actually made me another ring at no additional price.  I say if you see something you absolutely love and it’s in your budget, buy it!  Jewelry is pricey everywhere.

Just booked the Anthem for a France, Spain cruise leaving from Southampton.  I’m a Floridian and accustomed to the very hot summers.  How hot does it get in Europe during mid-July?  I’m hoping to get in a beach day or two.  

Also, are US dollars accepted?

I've waited too late to book the Old Lahaina Luau for my upcoming cruise with stops in Maui on Sept. 27 & 28.  I've searched the internet and came across the Feast at Lele.  Recommendations please.  If you been to Lele is it as good as OLL and if not can you provide any suggestions?   Thanks you

Looking into booking with Shore Excursions by Roberts Hawaii for my close approaching RCCL Ovation of the Seas cruise.  Has anyone used this company & if so would you recommend them?

Also, any recommendations for a luau while in Maui?

Sailing in the Ovation September 20th & the ship will make it’s first stop in Seattle till approximately 4 pm.   We have not booked any of the ships excursions but would like to see a few of the local sights.  I’ve never been to this fabulous city, but have heard only good things.  Need advice on public transportation, docking location, possible tour vendors.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I plan to stay at the Residence Inn pre-cruise in September 2019.  I’ll be able to provide information on the hotel & vicinities upon my return.

I originally booked one way flights, leaving Orlando to Vancouver on American and returning from Honolulu to ORL on Delta.  At the time I booked it was less expensive to book that way.  I cancelled my outbound flight on American and book a flight for the 19th on Delta.  I lost a few dollars,  it now I have peace of mind knowing I’m traveling the day before sailing.  

Can anyone tell me if the casino is open on the Ovation while in Hawaii?  I’m not a gambler but my cruise partner is.

I’m taking the same cruise and originally booked my flights for Sept. 20th, the day of the cruise!  We’re flying out of Orlando to Seattle, with connections (also on AA).  I stressed about making it to Seattle in time and what could happen if we missed the ship.  I decided to take a loss on the original tickets and booked new a flight for the night before the cruise on.  It’s a late night flight, but I’m not stressing anymore. I booked with Delta and the cost of the one way flight was minimal.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎊.  I’ll make Diamond after my 10 day Ovation cruise in December 2019.  Like many others I don’t have an  allegiance  to any particular cruise line, so it’s doubtful that I’ll get any higher than Diamond.  

I’m sailing on the Ovation of the Seas September 20th.  I tried to book entertainment but it’s still not available to book.  I’m about 69 days out before sail date.  How far in advance will I be able to secure onboard entertainment?

Thanks to everyone for your words of wisdom.  You spoke & I listened,  booked flight leaving the day before.  This is my dream cruise and I decided it was worth the extra money to book a earlier flight.  Used frequent flyer miles which brought the price down & used my Marriott points to book a hotel.

Thank you, I’m beginning to feel I should have booked my flight for the day before sailing.  I’ve been planning this cruise since last year and I would hate to miss the ship.  I’m going to look into changing my flight.

 I’m cruising out of Vancouver the  RCCL Ovation of the Seas on September 20th.   When I originally made my flight reservations I booked my flight for the day of the cruise. The flight arrives in Vancouver at approximately 11:30 AM. Not being familiar with customs in Canada, any idea how long will it take to clear customs & How long to travel to the port & what is the best mode to get there?  

any information will be greatly appreciated.
