  1. We have a little more than a week before boarding our first NCL cruise and decided that we are going to pack lite on this trip. Questions are 1) how formal or informal is the ship during the evenings? Are jeans or shorts allowed in the dining rooms? 2) Are the any formal nights requiring suits for men and dresses for the ladies? 3) I think I read somewhere about a white clothing party, does such an event exist ? 🛳

  2. Hollywood beach is approx. 11 miles south of FFL and another 13-15 miles to the POM. Sorry, but I can't help with transportation to the port but I'm sure a taxi would be quite expensive. Also call the hotel because it's possible they may be able to offer suggestions.

  3. We've booked a balcony for our upcoming cruise, but I've just checked and it appears that the guarantee mini suites are more affordable. We're new to NCL and not familiar with the different room categories. To make a long story short, would it be worthwhile to spent extra for a guarantee mini suite? Are they larger then a regular balcony, do any of the mini suites gave obstructed views? Any suggestion?

  4. It's been a while since I've cruised out of Miami so I'm seeking assistance in finding a safe off-site parking facility. We will be driving from Orlando in December. I've searched the internet and came across a company called Miami Parking Lots on 8300 NW 7th Ave, Miami. Just wondering if anyone has used this facility before and if so what was your experience. I would even consider staying overnight at a hotel if it allowed parking and provided shuttle service to and from the port. Thank you in advance for your assistance. :)

  5. I need to make a decision today so your help would be greatly appreciate your help. I've cruised Carnival & RCCL many times but have only cruised with Celebrity once many years ago. I want to sail on the Reflection this December, but afraid that there will not be enough "action" for my husband (he hasn't learned how to relax yet and needs to be entertained). What type of activity can we expect on Celebrity during sea days and in the evening? Also will the days I sail with Celebrity count toward my Crown & Anchor?

  6. Trying to lost several lbs. before my Nov. 2013 cruise and after reading the comment about the success people are having with Medifast I think I'll give it a try. It's quite expensive but if it works, it will be well worth it.

Before I order just wondering what are the best Medifast products to start with? Which are the most flavorful?

    Any advise will be welcome.

  7. Planning to sail the Oasis of the Seas but not sure what deck is the best - a deck on a lower deck or on a higher deck? We usuall book the Lido on most ships but since the deck plans are so different from other ships I've cruised on I thought I would ask those who have cruised the Oasis and/or Allure. I'm sort of leaning toward deck six.

  8. We often park our car at various off-site parking sites when cruising from a Florida port. Last year we used Premier Parking in Tampa and I would rate them a "D" because of our experience and their lack of professionalism. I also used the United Parking website and was directed to Premier. The address given on the reservation was non existent, the ad stated that it was across the street from the port, not true, the lot had moved several block away and we had to call the 800 number to obtain the new address. No advance notice at all. The shuttle (they only had 1 8 passenger van) took over an hour to load passengers & luggage and drive them to the port - actually is was two block from the port because they did not drop off inside the port. Imagine carrying your luggage across the busy Tampa streets when there are many cruisers arriving to board their ships. We were instructed to come back to the drop off site when we returned from our cruise again walking the 2 block with out luggage.

Well, Premier Parking in Port Canaveral also has it's share of problems. It's been on the news for several days - the lot owner was caught driving a car (staged by the news station). In all fairness to Premier Parking I don't know if they are all owned by the same organization but their reputation has definitely been tarnished. Even with the great review given about the Miami location I don't think I'll ever used any lot with the name of "Premier" again. If you are interested in more on the Port Canaveral story by following the link below.
