I am on the Transatlantic celebrity Eclipse now.

Sue Denning had surpass any other cruise directors we have cruised with. She is everywhere - talk to passengers always and is genuine. This is my tenth cruise , first with Celebrity . She would be my number one reason for returning

To Celebrity.

 

Do you know if she is staying on Eclipse please ?? We board in 8 weeks ..not that I'm counting

We did the post cruise tour that drops you at the airport ...lets just say it passed the time away rather than sitting at the airport ...but most of it is spent on a coach stuck in New York traffic. We had 2 stops from memory ..one at battery park and one at ground zero ..other than that is was just driving around pointing out sights and telling stories of the place

That is stranger than fact, You don't even get price drops before final payment in the UK. Would be very nice to know which UK agent offers such a deal, and we will all flock to them !

 

I have usually booked direct with Celebrity UK ...and have had many a price drop honoured. Just phone them and ask ...they have always been obliging to me :D

sorry...slightly off topic, but can the OP please tell me if you had much of a problem getting a visa for India ? We are booked on a cruise in 2016 out of Abu Dhabi but have been reading lots of negative comments on the visa procedure including having to have a face to face interview. Would love to hear from someone that has done this recently as to the difficulty of it.

I am in the UK and my final payment for the 26/06/15 cruise is due on 1st May if that helps

Ken: Went through the motions but seemed to want to end what he was involved in and get to the next project. I found him to be not very personal when not involved in a project. Met him quite a few times while walking through the ship and he was ALWAYS pre-occupied or distant. He would acknowledge our hello, but was always preoccupied to truly recognize you. My children called it being dissed.

 

Luigi: A blast, outgoing, friendly and just full of life.

 

The Captain: was the friendliest, outgoing down to earth Captain I have ever met. My wife thought him to be a true gentleman!

 

totally agree with above comments ...we had met Luigi a couple of years earlier when he was on the activity team on Silhouette ...great guy....and the Captain was the most visible and approachable Captain that I have seen.

I take it this is an offer not available in the UK as their site is showing a different less good offer finishing on 10 November

 

I spoke to someone at X today and they said the promo starts Nov 11th for us, and is combinable ( I already have drinks and free grats) ...but she said to keep an eye on prices before phoning ..if it stays the same or lower then phone straight away but if the price goes up on 11th then to wait and keep an eye on it as promo is valid till mid February and price could come back down again before then. You have to pay the price on the day your booking is amended so if it has gone up to compensate for the package then it may not benefit you.

I'm from the UK and booked my next cruise onboard Summit last week. I was asked if I want it transferring to a TA ..but I book direct so declined.

 

As for OBC that has now changed. they give you it on the cruise that you book it on ...so you pay your deposit and immediately get it back in OBC. We also got the free drinks package as part of 1,2,3 go ...

we just got off this cruise week ago. Had a fantastic time ...the scenery was spectacular and the ship and crew from the Captain down were wonderful. We did 3 days pre cruise in New York and there is a lot to cram into those 3 days ..it was exhausting, but fun. Happy to have seen it, but not in a hurry to rush back, too busy for my liking, but that is just personal choice.

Please be aware in the UK it is sometimes, not always, cheaper to buy single one way tickets than a return ..always check out both options

I logged in easily enough through the Captains Club site ...went in to book an excursion and got all the way through to the end and it said there had been a problem and to try again later .....and I have now just received an email confirming my reservation ...am now confused:(

worth asking the question ...I have had price drops honoured in the UK with no problem at all ...but, they weren't linked with any promotion like the drinks package. Good luck

We booked our next cruise (Summit New England..Sept '14) whilst onboard in May. Yesterday I phoned Celebrity UK to enquire about adding the 123 promo to the booking and there was no problem doing so. We were also able to keep the $300 OBC we had. She also said we could upgrade to the premium package once onboard using the OBC to do so ...the price of the cruise stayed at the original booking price. Win, win situation for me as we would have paid for the premium package :D

Looking forward to your review ....DH and I are on this same trip one year from now ..so will be interested in trips/weather etc ...any recommendations greatly received.:p

we went on Eclipse in a 1A and definately had an umbrella provided to use.
