Years ago, I used to gain weight on every cruise. Couldn't figure it out since I walked more on the ship than at home and watched everything I ate. My clothes would be tight and shoes, oh my! I finally realized a lot of it was water weight...I think just breathing that salt air does it! Anyway, talked to the Dr and he prescribed a mild diuretic ...haven't had to deal with swollen feet or weight gain since. I do remember a number of years ago there was a thread very similar to this and people were recommending (I think) taking sour cherry to help with water retention. Unfortunately, this really seems to affect us women so much more than men. :(:(:(:(:(

I start taking Diurex about two days before the cruise and take it until the last day. It helps with all of the bloating and salt weight gain.

I usually use Chrome and I tried clearing my cookies etc. That didn't work so I tried Firefox. Still no joy. Also tried a different computer. No go.

 

Maybe the Memorial Day sale increased traffic more than they could handle. Will give it a couple more days. We don't sail until June 29. But thanks for the suggestions!

We tried to book the couples thermal pass the day after the announcement was made and were told that they would not be selling them pre-cruise. We will be heading straight to the spa as soon as we board to buy our passes.

Does anyone have any recent cruise compasses from Harmony OTS? We are on the eastern Caribbean itinerary, but I'm mostly interested in getting a general idea of what sort of activities are being offered onboard. Thanks.

Also, what is the spa thermal suite like? Is it similar to the ones on the Celebrity Solstice class ships? Is it worth the week pass price?

Can any recent cruisers share what the theme night is?

Do Diamond level C&A members get any days of free internet? Does RC have a messenger app that can be downloaded to allow communication with other cruisers onboard?

We've just booked a week on the Harmony in June, and it's been over a year since I've cruised, so I'm a little rusty on the basics. Hoping to get some help from all of you with some questions.

1. Will the Chef's Table accommodate vegetarians?

2. How many formal nights on a 7 night cruise?

3. Can we still bring on 2 bottles of wine at embarkation, and is there a corkage?

4. Can we bring on bottled water?

5. Is Sabor a sit-down restaurant, or more of a cafeteria-style, and is it included in the dining packages?

6. Is the hibachi experience at Izumi included in the dining package (discount?)?

Any other major changes that have happened in the past year or so at RC that I should know about? I am especially interested in food/drink related topics, as you may have gathered from my questions. ;) Thanks!

I just booked a Sky Suite and the Celebrity vacation planner emailed me and said that only rooms with Infinite Verandas are Infinite Verandas. Concierge, and aqua class. Who knows what the truth is...

We will be getting in to Newark airport around 7:30 pm and would like to buy a few bottles of wine that we can take on the ship. We won't have a rental car, so it will be difficult to drive to a liquor store/grocery store. Is there a location either in Newark airport or near the Springhill Suites Newark Airport that we could by a few bottles after we get off the plane?

In Bar Harbor we currently have a private excursion booked with Sail Acadia from 12:30 - 3:30. The sail leaves out from Dysart's Great Harbor Marina

11 Apple Lane, Southwest Harbor, Maine. Mapquest says it takes about 25 minutes to get back to the tender port, but with the last tender leaving at 4:30 I'm a little worried that we won't make it in time. Is anyone familiar with the area that could tell me if this is a non-busy road? We would be taking a cab back to the port. Thanks!

There have been many New England reviews lately, so I'm hoping someone who is just back from a New England cruise on the Anthem can help. Could someone tell me what time the last tender leaves Bar Harbor in relation to the ship departure time? For example, if the departure time on the itinerary is 5:00, should I expect the last tender to leave Bar Harbor at 4:30? Any help is appreciated!

 

I did almost all of the physical activities like Ripcord, bumper cars, and even the trapeze act. My DW unfortunately couldn't and she wants to come back so she can after we have our DD.

 

How did you book the trapeze class? Was it advertised in the daily?

We will be on the Anthem New England sailing 10/6 and will be tendering in Bar Harbor. We are trying to plan a private morning carriage ride in Acadia and are wondering how long we should expect it to take to tender off the ship. Are tender tickets issued ahead of time, and if so, what is the process? If no tickets are given, how long should we expect it to take to make it to shore? Thanks in advance for your responses!

Has anyone else had trouble reserving Nachi Cocom through their website? Every time I try to book it says that the site is unable to connect with Paypal, and this has gone one for days. I've emailed Nachi Cocom reservations, but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone have a phone number for them? Thanks!

Thanks for the great review and the amazing pictures. Do you remember what time you passed under the Verrazano Bridge, or how long it took to get there after sailaway?
