The OP said that everyone made separate reservations

Yeah I know what they said someone also stated how they could have done it and I was co-signing that yes it could have also been done the way I did it by having everyone be a cruise companion

I don't think I did it the way pcvtmom did, but that's a great option. Once I had their booking linked to ours, I was able to select all our names when I booked our steakhouse and Teppanyaki reservations. It was back in December when I booked those, so I can't remember exactly how I did it.  🤦‍♀️

I did ours this way as well we sail the week of Christmas fortunately I have young adult kids so we can eat late because it takes forever for them to get dressed.

I was on Carnival Sunrise, the first ship back at GT on Tuesday. It was wonderful! Islanders were glad to have us back. Made the walk down to Jack’s Shack. They have a new deck and are open for business.

Going to GT December when leaving out the building which way do you go to get to Jack Shack

I bought quasi fast-food trays on Amazon.  They fit easily into my roller bag and as a side benefit offer some extra protection to wine bottles or a laptop.

    https://www.amazon.com/Carlisle-CT141803-Standard-Cafeteria-Polypropylene/dp/B06Y226G55

Runs around $5 and come in a variety of colors and sizes... The 12x16s work for me, but they come slightly larger if needed.

I have these bought them last year for our thanksgiving party.
What I do now is carry a small tote bag put silverware in there and I actually purchased foldable to go containers to put my desserts in or whatever and put in my tote to take back to my cabin.

This all sounds like so much fun! I love the idea of decorating our door and bringing Christmas PJs. I wouldn't have thought of that. I love it!

I’ve sails in December before 08’ nice decorations trees and garland. This year will be traveling on the MG during Christmas purchases matching PJ from Burt’s Bee for my adult family and son girlfriend. We are so excited.

Have fun. I see we've been on some of the same ships. You may be taken back for a bit because of how different it is but honestly imo it does not take like to get the lay of the land. Every elevator bay has very large floor plans with descriptions of where everything is. Plus the Hub App helped alot

We are so excited first time cruising over a holiday celebration DS college graduation the week before. I’ve been jotting down tips and tricks! Probably will forget everything once I’m on the ship 🙃🤦🏾‍♀️

Doing the happy dance over here too, not even mad I spent $145 on Binax Now tests from emed, cruising the Mardi Gras Oct 2022, it has been a long time coming since I was originally booked on the inaugural sailing. Lord willing, I will finally get on this ship!!!

I did the same thing!! I have 3 test that I can give family that are not vaccinated. We are sailing Mardi Gras in December 24th. ( quoted twice in error)

Ok, so this isn't an option on your list, but I always appreciate pics when I'm trying to decide. 😊  I stayed in 10416 (8C balcony) on MG and I thought I was just getting a regular small balcony, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I got, because this is not labeled as an extended balcony.  This pic is in the shade, but when the sun is overhead, front half is sunny (and viewable from above) and the back half is shaded due to the deck overhead, so there is privacy.  Decent view from the bed.

I've cruised MG 4 times and always stayed in this hallway...loved the location.  Walk a bit forward and you're at the midship stairwell that takes you down right into the main areas.  Short walk aft and elevators for Summer Landing and Shaq's.

We are in cabins down the hall from this I booked as quick as i could bigger balcony without paying for extended even though that is what I originally had before it was canceled 2020
