I think what Not a user name 2 has done is paid in full prior to final payment, therefore an at least $1increase may not apply.
I have to thank you for your post, and the outcome, we paid in full a week ago and still have a few days before the final payment due date and was wondering whether to see if we could upgrade our package.
Cheers, heather 🥂
You may very well be correct, but as the poster just asked about price drops "before sailing" and final payments are due a full 90 days prior to sailing, I assumed that they were past final payment date. Either way, hopefully they got their answer.

Isn't Apex pretty much like the Edge? What is different? Did they put the Sky Lounge back in?
Yes, it is the same class of ship, but we are hoping they tweaked it a little. We use the Retreat, so we do not miss the Sky Lounge. Edge just did not have the same Celebrity vibe, something was missing. We are hoping we find Apex improved

We absolutely love Celebrity and Azamara and would never change. They have always given us excellent cruises and we see absolutely no reason to change. Azamara for the smaller ship experience and Celebrity for the larger ones. We were not really thrilled with Edge, but are going to give Apex a chance and see if it "feels" more like the Celebrity experience that we love.

So it works out the same price but we got the gratuities and classic beverage package. it's now Premium Beverage Package pp, $150 on board pp, High speed unlimited internet for 2 and the gratuities.
to upgrade room after final payment, it cannot be "the same price" it has to be at least $1.00 more than you paid for the current cabin as stated by jelayne above.

Currently guests do not earn LCV points for pre or post Land Packages.
I'll keep you posted if this changes.
Thanks Bonnie. That kind of kills the incentive to book a very expensive land package with Azamara when it can be done cheaper with another travel company. I really hope that Azamara Management would think about this. We just might have to cancel our land portions and book them elsewhere.

and you get one free scoop of Gelato at certain levels of the Captains Club. Unfortunately they no longer have the yummy waffle cones. You get in a cup 😞

we have requested a Cabernet on our last few cruises and have really enjoyed it. Never liked the sparkling wine they used to give. Enjoy your cruise
-
It is at the Captain's discretion, but on every Caribbean Cruise we have been on, they have always changed to local time. It saves the issue of people returning late to the ship for departure,

I've been wondering about this too! You didn't imagine anything! We are in a Royal Suite in March and were told when we booked it that we would get 18 points per night. I was looking at the Captains Club information on the Celebrity website yesterday and noticed it said only 12. What?!
I'm assuming that Celebrity changed this and didn't point it out to anyone!
Sorry they gave you the wrong info. when you booked. It has been this way for over 5 years
-
i have a printout from several years ago that shows Celebrity, Signature and RS gets12 points. The Reflection Suite and Penthouse get 18. This is at the very least from 5 years ago

We are older than you both, but have exclusively traveled on Celebrity and Azamara. We love them both. We have always met younger gay and straight couples on Celebrity and although Azamara tends to range a little older, it is an extremely gay friendly ship and we have met several life long friends on those ships and have befriended many of the crew,. We love Azamara as a smaller upscale ship.
-
Does anyone know FOR SURE if we get points for the land portions attached to our cruises. We have been told yes and then no.
They are pretty expensive to not get points for the additional days.
Thanks for any helpful replies

we are currently on a B2B on Celebrity Solstice. As long as you are open to what time you want to eat diner, there have been plenty of open reservations in the specialty restaurants for both cruises. They were selling packages for specialty restaurants during the cruise well past the first day.

Can you let us know how the wifi speeds are when you get towards the Islands? We're on the same cruise as Muffinz.

We have never been on a Celebrity Cruise with a theme night out of 42 cruises. Azamara does have White Night Parties.
-
usually still at 7:00 and 9:00

Can you reserve shows in advance on the Reflection?
you cant reserve shows on any of the Celebrity ships. If you are in a Suite, on Chic nights, a section will be roped off and held for you until about 5 minutes before the show starts. There are no reserved seating, however

I'd like to know what shows are in the celebrity theatre - the ones that Celebrity do themselves
I understand they are still doing 'Rock City' but would like to know what other show they have
in 2018 they had an acrobatic one and another one called 'broken strings'?
I'm hoping we will get some different shows on our Solstice cruise in April
They still do Rock City, Broken Strings and Amade. Sorry looks like the same shows

How is the entertainment ? Lectures ?
We are in a RS and looking forward to Luminae ? Any comments regarding the food. We sailed on Solistice several times but before Luminae.
The entertainment is very subjective. We think some of it has been good, some not so good, depends on what you enjoy. We have been having great meals in Luminae. The service and food have both been very good. You can order from either the Luminea menu or the NDR menu, they will bring you both.

It might be too late to check on this, but did they offer Prime Rib in the MDR the first night? We also will be on Solstice next summer in Alaska. Trying to decide if we should reserve specialty dining the first night, but I'd rather have prime rib at MDR.
Thank you and have a great trip.
Sorry, cannot answer that one., We are in a Suite, so we ate in Luminae. Dd not look at MDR menu. We are on a B2B so will try to look at MDR menu on first night of next trip

We will be sailing on Solstice the end of May. Alaska bound. If you are back in the fitness center, can you see if they have any Peloton bikes?
enjoy your trip!
They have several bikes, but not sure any are Peloton.

We sailed in the Suites. For one thing, as there are so many suites on the Edge Class, Luminae is much larger than it is on the S and M Class. For us, it was way too loud and we felt like is was just a large MDR, it totally lost its charm. We wound up eating with our friends that traveled in Aqua Class in Blu and enjoyed that dining experience much more,.
