We got a reply after 2 days apologizing for the delay and saying that for our July sailing/arrival, they were sold out. We tried another firm and they wanted 120 pounds for 3 people (though the website said around 45 pounds). We thought 75 pounds for pick up and drop off from the port was really steep. We settled on CabtoursNI. They promptly returned email, did not require a deposit and were quite reasonable. We found them on TA...

We are flying post cruise to Amsterdam to fly home the next day. We used frequent flyer points for the flight on FlyBE. We paid for three reserve seats, one checked in piece of luggage for each of us and it cost us about $100. By flying to Amsterdam, our taxes back home will be $130 for all three of us. If we flew out of the UK, the taxes for the three of us would be a minimum of $500, possibly up to over $700....and that is with using frequent flyer miles/points for the actual flights.

We found 24/7 Airport Transfers from others on these boards and pre-paid them for 3 transfers we needed from LHR -> London hotel -> Southampton -> LHR .

 

Anybody use them ... Are they reliable and trustworthy (esp. since we pre-paid) ... Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Used them from Heathrow to London and London to Harwich without a problem 3years ago.

I was also perplexed by the 7/24 website. The way it works is you fill out the form as if you were to book, but just before you book, you will see on the side the "quote" . As I learned from "chat", the quote is for the car not per person. As such, I found from Heathrow to Southampton the cost was rougly 105 pounds...

I have read that the pontoon tours would be best as she could do a submersible, visit the underwater viewing area, etc. My question is has anyone done the Princess Cruise line tours of GBR and could give a brief summary of the pontoon...Thank you in advance.

We are ( group of 8 friends ) taking cruise on November 3, 2014 with Celebrity Solstice. We are flying in on Nov. 2, 2014. We would like to take private tour for Blue mountain on November 3, 2014 if possible. We have to be back on ship by 3pm.
