I don't envy you guys regarding the snow. I am originally from Ky and am now in Australia so don't really miss the snow too much. Although a few days ago it was around 100 degrees and I could have used the cooling effects of the snow then.;)

Hope to be here to watch the sailaway. I don't envy you guys with snow...few days ago we had about 100 F but today not too bad at around the 70s. Originally from KY and I don't miss the snow too much.

I know how Cunard has changed. QM2 and the old QE2 are quite different.

 

But I'm curious to know what others think about how QM2 has changed. I first travelled on QM2 in 2004, when she was sparkling with newness. I think she still had some similarities to QE2 during her first few years also in terms of ambiance.

 

But since then, what changes do you think have occurred?

 

Also, do you think there is a different VIBE on QM2 on different sailings during the year?

Sorry, but I could not resist......the only thing that has not changed is the group VIBES (?) same group, same songs every day and in most venues on QM2. We were on QM2 earlier this year and whether at the outdoor pool or indoor pool, the same exact songs were played...AND they were the same songs as when we first went on her (I believe) in 2009. I just could not believe it.

On another note, I think one change has been that they must have less waiters in the Britannia Dining Room because this last time they were running all over the place and said they had to work more tables.

What was the temp in Rome? You kept saying how hot it was......how could you wear all that black, long sleeves...whew...makes me hot. Also, how did you walk all that way around Rome in boots?

Thanks for the information. I saw it on VP but had been wondering if it actually let you go all the way through the process, far out from the cruise...we are going over a year. I will have to think about the dates and check it out.

The sailboats on #1 look like toys after watching the ships sail through there.

I thought the same thing...they looked so cute as they were all huddled together.

I can't imagine 9! I watched the sailaway a few weeks ago and the ships were practically leaving one right after the other!

I had that problem last year around this time when I was getting ready for my Jan 2013 cruise, but have not had it happen since. I have been logging in every day and had no problems (knock on wood)...but my cruise isn't until 2015.;)

I have my laptop on a portable bed tray that has legs for my recliner. Balanced on the one arm of the chair is my iPad. Other arm chair has my mouse. Beside the laptop on the tray is my Grey Goose. And in front of the laptop -- nearly on my chest are my Pringles.

 

It is Happy Hour here.

You must have eight arms like an octopus to utilize all that stuff.....and get to your pringles...lol.
