Our next cruise is with P&O, who we have not sailed with before, and I'm not familiar with their setup. Is there set time dining or do you just turn up and ask for a table.
We are quite fond of the Princess set time dining but with the 3 free restaurants on the Pacific Explorer, not counting the Pantry, we were wondering how things work particularly as we are a group of 10.
On the explorer 2 weeks ago
We were a party of 9
Booked each day for whichever of the free restaurants we wanted. We had to adjust our timings but we always managed to book within 15 mins of the time we wanted

I am in an inside cabin on the explorer
I thought that I would plug in a night light in the bathroom but I know that there is only a shaver outlet
How can I plug in the night light

I thought I saw a list of mixed drinks that were made from alcohol on the classic package but now I can't find it. Is this something I made up in my head or is it real, lol. Thanks so much :)
I saw the list also
It had the cocktails that you could get with classic package
I have the list of alcohol brands from the web site
But I don't know where I saw it and I would like to get again
So you didn't make it up

The cabin has one Australian socket and one European socket above the refrigerator, and one American socket by the dressing table. Also a shaver plug in the bathroom.

Is there an Australian socket in the bathroom as well as the shaver one

Hi
Could you tell me what is the silent disco
My thoughts are with those in London and Manchester
Having lived in both places I can feel for all
I feel very lucky living in Australia where we have had a small amount of "terror" but seems to be getting stronger every day

Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Looking for a photo of the balcony to see the (partial) obstruction.
Thanks!

I don't have a photo but have stayed in a partial obstructed cabin on the Solstice and have booked it again
The top of the lifeboat is level with the floor of the balcony
So your view out to sea is fine and depending on the cabin you can also see the sea looking down between the boats
The cabin is identical to any other balcony cabin

Definitely not. This cruise is a surprise for my husband, so I haven't shared the details with people to avoid the surprise being ruined.
I emailed P&O asking them about what I could take my 6 month old to in the evenings and mentioned we were celebrating my husband's 30th. They replied to my email and answered my questions, then it says "We have added something special for your husband as a gift from P&O Cruises Australia on the first night of your cruise." I then got another email with a receipt that says "Birthday/Pax Celebrate Onboard Bon Voyage! $0.00"

P&O just emailed me to tell me they've added a birthday package to my booking for my husband. They said there is a surprise for him on our first night. Has anyone had this? What is included?
Thanks!

I think that someone in your family has brought this package for you does anyone know your booking number. I can,t image p & o would do this free as there would be many people celebrating birthdays on every cruise

I'm hoping someone who has been on both a U.S.-based Carnival cruise and an Australia-based one can compare the experiences.
Is the "fun ship" vibe typical on Carnival's U.S.-based cruises the same in Australia? What is the typical daytime and nighttime dress onboard? Does the menu change significantly?
What should someone who's an experienced Carnival cruiser expect to be different when cruising on the Legend or Spirit from Australia?

I am on this same cruise in late March
Ist time on Radiance so looking forward to the cruise
I booked this one for myself - an 'O' birthday and anniversary so just DH and myself going

That's the Dec 3 2016, SYD to AKL, for the record. Haven't booked yet but want to before the end of Jan.
That annoying feeling when you realise the sailing you had your eye on goes up by 6% overnight!
So good folks, should I just bite the bullet and deal with it, or wait for a price drop?
Could possibly change with the falling dollar as this cruise is paid for in US dollars even if we pay for it in AUS Dollars

Hi
we are in the business and these seem average prices. Depending on how many of you are traveling you may need 2 taxis approx cost of a taxi to rhe city is $40 maxi taxi and some station wagon taxis carry baby seats but not all and also have a premium added to the cost. A booked mini van will be waiting for you at the airport and the opt and turn up on time at your hotel with baby seat as requested
