  1. Any guesses as to what they will do with the emerald? We are doing the british isles this september and I am hoping she will be in europe doing a baltic without st petersburg, of course. The Sky has a really good itinerary in June of 23 but we can't travel in June. Busy season for my husbands work.

  2. No I wouldn't have downgraded without them being paid in full.  Even if we had to use the insurance's cancel for any reason it still would have been $1500 cheaper. I was more worried about not getting our already purchased sold out shore excursions back. Half of the cruiseline's shore excursions are sold out.  A lot of people have onboard credit from cancelled cruises, we did.

  3. The price would be cheaper with a drop from a club class mini suite to a regular balcony. But my husband and I decided to just stay where we are and if they go and our schedules line up we will just go to the regular area in the dining room. It is a very port intensive cruise with lots of long days touring. We may not have that many dinners together anyway.

  4. Is it possible to downgrade your cabin after final payment? We splurged and booked a club class mini suite for our british isles cruise in September.  My sister and brother-in-law are now wanting to go with us but considering how much airfare has gone up they want a balcony not a club class mini suite and use the savings towards airfare. We booked our own airfare but we have a post hotel and have prepaid for several sold out shore excursions through Princess. I am willing to do refundable on board credit.  I would call my travel agent but she is out of town till Monday.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  5. We are sailing to Alaska at the end of the month and I have a few questions. I know there is not a dive-in movie screen on the Miracle. But hoping to see the new version of Death of the Nile and a maybe couple of other newer movies. Do they play movies that would normally be on the big screen on the cabin TV's? Is the roof kept closed over the swimming pool? Trying to decide if we should pack bathing suits, traveling with grandkids. Is the kids club up and running? They are fully vaccinated. Are they sailing at full capacity. I have checked on the website and only insides and outsides are left. Any info about the Miracle would be appreciated. Thanks in advance/ Lori

  6. We tested at the fort lauderdale pier in early December. It was easy.  The only hiccup was that their printer was not working and a representative from DocGo had to escort us to check in and give us the all clear. Less than 30 minutes from start to finish. The only concern we had was that we had dropped off our bags before the test.  I don't know how they would have found our bags if tested positive and couldn't board.

  7. We rented a pool side cabana.  Nice but expensive and kinda of isolating.  Our food/drink guy was very johnny on the spot.  When we wanted drinks he was right there, even when I was sitting at the swim up bar.  We ran a tab and paid him before we left. We were the only boat, and we were only 1/3 full. It was fairly empty in the pool. I could see it being lively maybe even too crowded with a full ship.
