Fun review.  We are on the Getaway May 1.  Definitely going to try a few of those drinks.  Are you checking into the Betty Ford clinic?

We really enjoyed the Mojitos bar in 2018.  We had a tough time getting something we wanted to eat after going to shows.  We ate at O’Sheenans more than we wanted.  Any suggestions on other alternatives on embarkment day?  We sat in O’Sheenans until our room was ready.  Overcrowded and noisy.  Is the pool bar or others opened?  Maybe a lunch alternative?

We would like some more info also.  We go every other year or so to land vacations at LaCabana but this time we are on a cruise.  We were hoping to go to Eagle beach across from the hotel but can we rent chairs there?

Look for the section in the boards that are titled "Roll Call". Then find "Norwegian Roll Call". Look for the Getaway section. Then our Nov 6 group thread original poster was seatheworld. Then say hello and you will be welcomed with open arms.

To all of you sailing the Getaway Nov 6, do you know there is a roll call thread with others already cruising. Introduce yourselves there if not hope to meet you all on the cruise.

We are on the Getaway in November. My wife put me on a mission to find out what nights the theme parties on on so she can dress to the theme. Things like 70's and 80's parties. Glow and white nights. Or anything else. Anybody know? Thanks to all.

This link is good for 2016 Haunted Happenings. I haven't searched to see if there are any ships coming to the Salem port for October 2016. The last 2 years there has been a docking.

Well, at least this time NCL evidently has a good excuse for removing lobster from menus -- lobster prices are the highest they've been in ten years!

 

I'm still pissed though. :mad:

Maybe lobsters are expensive where you are from but very low in New England. We just had six 2lb fresh lobsters with steamed clams at the lake camp in Maine this weekend at a very reasonable price. Cruise ship lobsters are mediocre at best. Yum!

I sent a message to exotic Eco asking about how they were and if goofs caye was still functioning. They told me they were fine and goff's was all rebuilt and okay. So in November we should be there.

I am on the Nov 6 cruise as well. I booked back in January & havent seen the price go down at all. Once the people from the escape got booted back in April/May, the price has been going up and up probably b/c the getaway is now the newest ship sailing out of miami.

 

Should be a fun time!!

I just checked on the port schedules for how many ships are in port and our Nov. 6, 2016 Getaway cruise appears to port in Harvest Caye instead of Belize City. Can we believe the port schedules? From the schedule it also appears that beginning in Aug 2016 the Escape will stop there a few times. Then in beginning in September the Getaway will go every week. Then in the end of November there is a lot of other ships scheduled.

Anyone informed at this time? We still have Belize City schedule on the Norwegian site. Which is correct?

My wife and I did this a few years ago. We had a blast. Great people and beautiful place. I am not a dancer but had fun after a few margaritas. Very friendly and clean. it is usually rated #1 on tripadvisor which is why we picked it. We did it as a private tour before it was offered on cruise ship's excursion. We went to panchos backyard after and that was a cool oasis.

The Desk relations person I talked to who was very understanding informed me to express my distress over this situation on the same place you send in your information for the airplane rebate but separetly. She said tell them what you think you deserve and how it effected you. She said they are the direct link for this situation. go to(1) ncl.com, (2)help, (3)after your cruise and put in your info. Maybe this is not over. Maybe when can something better because this is a terrible offer. Good luck everyone.

years ago I went on a ship excursion on jetskis to a beach break which was amazing. we zipped in and out of the harbor where all the rich boats were. I don't remember the name of it though. it was a long time ago. did the stingrays and it was fun but would not do it again.

So my mini-suite #13202 on the Escape might have a bathtub? If so my wife will be so happy. She does love taking a bath while on vacation and our hotel in Miami only has a shower.

There are 2 casinos as soon as you leave the ship. Both are decent. Plus lots of eating, drinkng and shopping.

I(male) am the cruise director. I booked before the video and before Pitbull was the godfather. I have not seen the video yet. And I could care less who the godmother or godfather is, I think on one of my ships it was shrek's wife. so stupid. by the way I am older than 60 and like Pitbull.

Been looking into taking a snorkel/sail excursion while at St Thomas. Two companies...two different prices. Anyone have any experience with New Horizons or Rumbaba? With such a price difference, thought I would like to ask around a bit. Thanks

We did the Rumbaba a few years ago and had a great day and the food was so good. Comfortable boat and the diving spots were the best.
