Deck 3, Deck 9 Lido, the casino, lounging areas inside on deck 2 and 3. Gatsby's Garden promenade, the sports bar and the Red Frog and the dining room have windows. If you are sailing with or meet someone with a balcony, they may offer to share their balcony that day or have viewing party in their cabin.

When was the last time Miracle was updated, more specifically, their casino?
Maybe Miracle doesn't have that software yet?
We disembarked on 3/5. We were told they don't have the updated system, so the casino cage gives cash. The casino is nice though.

We just got off the Miracle a week ago. The casino was giving cash for their free slot play casino offers. Most ships it's loaded onto your card. Also, if you're platinum tier, don't forget to go to the casino cashier and get your $25 in cash as part of your perks.

We just sailed Carnival's 14 Day Hawaii itinerary round trip from Long Beach. The casino opens shortly after leaving each port and was always open on sea days. This was our third time sailing this itinerary, and it's been this way every time.
NCL's Pride of America does the Hawaiian island itinerary. That ship does not have a casino.

Correct, you can call the night before or the morning of.
Thx so much!

I heard that Carnival is no longer providing the hanging room service breakfast cards so you can pre-order your coffee, fruit, breakfast items to be delivered at a scheduled time in the morning. Is this true?

You can also follow "Nautical Nurse Nancy" on YouTube for Hawaii vlogs. Her and her husband were on the Miracle for the first cruise back to Hawaii on Carnival. They did some live shows from the ship and will be releasing more vlogs soon. She's really great about answering questions too.
We've done the Hawaiian itinerary twice..pre-pandemic. It's my favorite itinerary! We love sea days and don't mind rougher seas.

Our cell phones go in the cabin safe when we board. We love to disconnect and decompress when we cruise.

I was on 9/26 and we never heard any info although I read here there was supposedly a spa crew member so others were also quarantined.
Nobody was able to really verify the rumor.
How did you find this out? Are you by chance on the ship now or you heard it from someone who is?

Were your deposits non refundable?
Yes..both cruises were casino offers. The deposits were non-refundable but based on the updated / extended covid protocols we're getting a refund of our deposits.

I am not blaming Carnival for its protocols. I support the protocols. What Im
blaming them for is allowing me to book a cruise w a child (in all fairness neither I nor carnival knew what Jan 2022 would look like in October of 2020) then demand I pay in full for a cruise I may not actually be able to go on bc my child may not be able to go on. It’s pretty simple really and should not require a phone call at all. Just allow me to cancel online and refund my money. But leaving me on hold for 1 hour and 27 minutes? I did nothing wrong in this situation.
I understand what you're saying. It's a hassle and things are crazy right now. Did you end up getting through on the phone and getting your monies refunded?

When I booked this cruise (jan 2022) I knew, as everyone did, that there was a strong possibility of it getting cancelled etc. I am not an unreasonable person and my family has sailed with carnival for years. I booked in October of last year. None of these protocols were in effect. As of today, Carnival wants me to pay the balance of my booking (due next week) despite or cancel and lose my deposit. If I pay I dont even know
1. if my child can cruise (would need waiver bc she is not old enough to be vaccinated and there is a 5% max of unvaccinated passengers). Note this child was on the original booking when Carnival accepted my deposit and created my booking.
2. Even if I get the waiver for my child, my family will then be essentially a prisoner on the ship, not being allowed off the ship unless it is on a paid "bubble tour". So I either pay to go on a cruise where I dont actually get to see the places we are going or its essentially financial blackmail that I have to pay for carnival excursions in order to get off ship (also note that we would not be permitted to explore anything at all, we cannot go to a restaurant or a shop)...sound fun
3. I would have to agree and consent to my child having q tip shoved up her nose 3 times in a 6 day time period (with 72 hours prior, at embarkation and 24 hours after depart) all at a cost of $150 extra to myself
So my complaints are that
1. Carnival should not demand full payment if they cannot even guarantee that the humans originally booked can indeed board the ship
2. Carnival should not expect people to pay for a cruise, or cancel their cruise and lose their deposit due to these protocols. I am not mad about the protocols. I welcome them. I want everyone to be safe. But I would never have booked a cruise if these protocols were in effect (especially the whole, your kid may not even be allowed on the ship)
I have now been on hold for 1:27:05 to try and talk to someone because this is simply unfair and horrible horrible customer service. Who in their right mind pays in full for a cruise when they cant even be sure the cruise itself will allow all members of the booked family on the ship????
We just cancelled two 7-day cruises due to Carnival's Covid protocol extension. We are receiving a full refund of our deposits. You shouldn't have a problem getting your deposit and/or any monies paid refunded. The phone lines are busy with all the cancellations but that should ease up soon.

I still remember all the major issues with Vista's inaugural. When I saw this thread I was expecting some major problems. To me, this thread post sounds like things must be going pretty smoothly with the ship. I wonder if they are not sailing with a full crew? Do we have any info on the number of guests and crew onboard? Perhaps they need more servers? How is the casino otherwise? Thx OP!

Yes, it was from San Diego where Spirit was seasonally ported 2011-2012. We did both an 8 day and a 9 day. Great itineraries.
I looked up our past cruises. We did the 8 day in 2006 and 2009 on the Spirit..Great ship! Must have been out of San Diego too. What was the 9 day itinerary?..Do you remember?

For now I would just look at the deck plans. That's all we really have to go by at this point. Hope you cruise sails..How exciting!

Have not been to Zihuatenejo on a ship but have spent time there arriving on an airplane. Fantastic place and very safe. Look forward to going back again. As in all of Mexico, and the world, you might see soldiers around.
What airport did you fly into to get to Zihuatanejo?

It was announced 2 days ago Panorama will be sailing 8 day cruises to Mexico but the added port will be La Paz on the Sea of Cortez plus the usual ports of Cabo, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta. It's a start.
I did see that. I think that's what also got me thinking about Carnival mixing things up a bit and giving the west coast more options.

The weather in Alaska can be unpredictable. Swimsuits don't weigh much so I would bring one. You can always go in the spa if the pool is too cold. I saw people in the spa out on deck and there's also one in the gym.
-
I would assume so, but nothing is for sure until sailings begin again.

It's been fun Radiance, but we're done ...
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
We sailed for 2 weeks on the Radiance to Hawaii in last October. After 19 cruises, we felt the Radiance crew is one of the best we've experienced. We also thought the food was great, and the ship was beautiful, especially for her age. Quite a few of the public areas did seem cramped, but we would still sail her again. It was a great cruise.
