Between the crowded pedestrian sidewalks and bumper to bumper cars, I couldn’t imagine a safe place to jog by the port. As for areas to avoid, no worries, Aruba is safe.

Sand Dunes
in Aruba
The sand dunes are prohibited 🚫 by any type of vehicle. Try ABC or Kini Kini for a great off road adventure, try to book one that goes to Conchi/Natural Pool.

You can with a RX from home.

Yes on Royal and Jays, they expect it. The only ones that do not allow it are Hertz and Budget.

Depalm is the largest tour company on the island. The Renaissance hotel is by the port, walk out to the main road, take a right and it’s two blocks on your left.
They probably do not offer port pickup because they have a contract with most cruise lines if not all of them.

I have never, ever done this either, and find it tacky. We always tip at the end, have had butlers friend us on social media, and ask after our next cruises. Our butler from one of our previous cruises will be on the ship for our next cruise, and we're conspiring to ensure she's our butler again. No bribe required. She was amazing without a tip up front.
We were able to have the pre cruise concierge (not sure what they call it now) email the ship concierge to request a past butler that was working our cruise and we were given him, even though he was working floors 9 & 10, he took care of us on 15.

what I am budgeting for.
Sound like you bit off more than you can chew by booking a Garden Villa if you are budgeting.

The concession is actually a restaurant facing the lagoon, it has big wooden Flinstone characters, it’s a long way from the port. You may be thinking about Arashl Beach.

Leavethekidswithmom, have you used Justin's? If so, when booking prior to the day of the rental, were you required to provide a copy of the back/front of your credit card along with a copy of your passport? We have a group going in a few months. I called last week and booked our ATV. One of our friends called today and was told she had to provide this information. They're telling me they require this of all their rentals which is confusing as they didn't require it of me.
They required nothing of us prior, it was in 2014, we gave them our credit card at their office before we took off on the ATVs.

You can try Royal or Jays, they’ll meet you at the port, reserve in advance.

I would stick with ABC, 9.5hrs they are probably going to start at California Lighthouse and finish at Baby Beach, you’ll see the whole east side of the island.

What’s a side by side? You can rent an ATV or UTV from Justin’s, they’ll pick you up and drop you back off at the port.

If flying to Aruba you can’t get through Aruban Immigration without a valid passport. You won’t leave the airport a free person. What does the cruise line say?

Just back we took our 6 year old out to Boca Catalina. Snorkeling was great. Please know that there are no facilities here.
There’s facilities at Arashi Beach, two blocks north of Catalina and a block north of Catalina Cove. Walking distance.
