I was on Icon last week. I'm probably not the best to answer dining questions, but might be able to assist with others. Not sure how many people were onboard, but I was very pleasantly surprised how good the service was, how small lines were, and overall how efficient things seemed to run.

That's far different from a post on another social media site--not FB. That post said passengers were rude and the main pool was closed every day because someone continuously used it as either an upchuck bucket ( subtle comment on food?) or a loo for #2.🤢

  2. Jaime is currently using Luna Beach Club as "overflow" from Blue Reef.  There may be separate websites in the future.  But , as I understand, if you request Luna Beach when making reservations for Blue reef, he may honor that assuming there is room.  Luna is limited to # of people and not fully staffed yet, based on latest I have heard.

  3. Window seating is something you can request.  If you're My Time Dining, you may have to wait a bit depending on when you go. For seated dining your best bet is to contact the maitre d' on boarding and make your request.

Personally I don't think the ships have that much motion unless in a storm and even then it's not bad. But many folks are just the opposite, so Dramamine or Bonamine is a requirement.

  4. Depends on size of ship and whether or not you are docking in Coxen Hole or Mahogany Bay. Large Carnival ships do get cancelled if winds are too strong for Mahogany Bay.  But Coxen hole is a different configuration and unless there are several ships scheduled there, docking is possible with wind.

  5. Look up Native Choice for excursions. If you're using Native Choice, on your return try Catrina's by the pyramid.

Most beach places in Mahaual serve similar food--tacos,fajitas, cerviche.  Malacon 21, and La Chilangaloense are probably the best for walk on's along the middle of the malecon. Sulemar and Machos along the southern end are decent choices..  Lots of people like Krazy Lobster for the lobster. Skip the food in the port complex.

I have never had a problem with the regular coffee that is served. As far as I know they serve Seattle’s Best, which is owned by Starbucks. I much prefer it over Starbucks as it is not bitter.

Coffee is now Lavaza, not Seattle Best.  But for those who don't drink the syrup stuff or lattess, the regular brew is decent. Not your top of the line fresh roasted French Press but not your maxwell House that was roasted months ago.
