    Once you switch to Airplane mode you have to manually turn on Wi-Fi once again or WhatsApp won't work.

    Even though I read what dweeb had posted earlier today I though my Wi-Fi was on permanently & I wouldn't have to reconnect it. 

    These are new Android phones to me & I've never had the chance to sail with them. 

     

    I think it is an Android thing, as my husband and I both did the same thing today to test out the app.  On my iPhone when I went to airplane mode my wifi was still on, however on his Samsung when he went to airplane mode his also turned off the wifi.  Maybe it's an Android thing, but easily fixed.  Main thing is that cellular data is turned off to not incur those charges.  Funny, how we experienced the same scenario that you did also, lol.  But it will be nice to have use of those features onboard ship if Hubby and I go our different ways on occasion 😉

    So when you select the ship you are interested in and go to deck plans, look at specific deck you are interested in, there is a box to check for connecting cabins and it will highlight all that it applies to.

     

    The connecting rooms don't really bother us so much.  The room we booked for our next cruise is well worth the connecting aspect of it.  You can always turn the tv volume up if its really bad, lol.

    Wow, that seems like it is cutting it close. Some travel several days prior to cruise, that wouldn't be good.  How do they ship UPS or FEDEX?  Guess if they don't make it in time that they will just issue you new ones at the port?

    Yes  I did look into that, however for their transfer pricing and service fee, I might as well pay for the upgrade 🤣, it would be cheaper.  Do people actually do that, not very cost effective. But thanks for the suggestion.

    Well, we never made it out of New Bern to Charlotte. American rescheduled our flight three times and the last change had us arriving at 3:35 pm and there was no way we could retrieve our luggage and be on ship by 4 pm.  Same for brother and SIL.  Also friends Joanie and Sam flew from PA to Charlotte yesterday and never got out of Charlotte so they are flying back home as I type.  What the heck is going on. Some weather and some staffing.

    Wow can't believe no one could leave NC?  We're also from triangle area and didn't have any kind of bad weather in our area.  I thought the North was the area being hard hit.  So sorry to hear your trip got cancelled.  Hoping the airlines get things straightened out soon.  We will be flying to FLL next month but routing through Atlanta instead of Charlotte.  We have had our flights changed like 4 times since November with Delta, however we are flying out the day before.  Hoping you can reschedule and enjoy later on!

    Just ordered the same test kits and received this week.  The expiration date is 12/22, so maybe can use them for another trip.  We never know what will be required from day to day, lol.

Yes, that is correct you have until 45 days prior to departure to make any changes to flights as well as refare if prices are lower.  If you have already paid in full, they will issue you a refund for the amount.  However you will have to call Princess Air and request the refund because it just sits out there until someone initiates the refund.  Had to do this myself to get a $60 refund, lol.  But was well worth the phone call and long wait time.  Good Luck!

I finally got it to scan successfully. For some reason, the app was using the selfie camera on my phone. I had to contort myself to see it successfully read the info. I tried entering the data manually, but it would not let me type in my birthdate. I could only go back month by month. That would have taken a very long time to get back to when I was born.

     

    That part of the app worked fine before my December cruise on the Caribbean and August cruise on the Majestic. And it had been working fine until today, bringing in the data from my previous cruises.

    Curious, had you already previously entered your passport information?  Read where someone else had a similar situation and had to re-scan it.  That's kind of annoying to have to do it again once it's been accepted, lol.  We were hoping once we got the Green Lane check, we would be good to go.

    Well sort of, my husband tried doing upgrade on his account as well separately, wouldn't allow him either.  It's like the tickets are connected as one booking and needs to be upgraded in one transaction.        

    But thanks for the suggestion!  At this point don't want to mess anything up with the tickets, we did get a great fare and now outrageous for same flight times.  Just thought we would upgrade if possible to comfort + if possible.

    In addition, there may not be inventory in the upgrade bucket for those seats.  Just because they are available for sale does not mean that they can be obtained through an upgrade.  Two different sets of inventory.

     

    Beyond that, you are likely to end up in a loop of DL telling you to work through the cruiseline and the cruiseline telling you to contact DL directly.

    Well I'm assuming they are upgradeable, it gives me the option to upgrade, select option of money or points, and allows me to select the seats.  However it wants to take all the points from my account only, and not touch my husbands points.  Unfortunately, we recently used some and neither of us have enough to upgrade for all 4 legs of trip.  Therefore I would have to pay for all legs with cash.  Seems like it would use each individuals points for their own tickets and seats.  Need to contact them about recently changing a flight time so guess I will just find out then.  Thanks anyway, I respect your expertise in these manners.

Does anyone know a work-around when trying to upgrade seats from EZ-Air using points from 2 different accounts.  For some reason since they are ticketed together, it's trying to use my points to upgrade my husbands seats as well.  It seems like it should take the points for the person sitting in the seat, lol.  The tickets are 36 days out and have been ticketed by airline.  Wondered if I try to call Delta if they could help separate it.  Anyone have this experience?  Thanks in advance!

    Thanks so much!  Yes had to search for his login information that we made for the FCC credit from cancelled cruise.  However didn't login correctly, so just used the booking# and it linked up as you stated.  Just hope it stays logged in and doesn't log his out like a lot of other apps do.  We both see the Green Lane on both of our devices.  Hopefully everything stays okay for the cruise.

So I have searched through numerous pages at the top about medallion app without an answer to my question.  I have downloaded the app on my phone and completed all tasks and now have a green lane status for our cruise in March for my husband and myself.  So now my husband needs to download the app for his phone and use on the cruise.  Does he have to have his own log-in information for his phone?  How does he get tied to the same information that I have already completed on my app and phone?  Thanks for any help as it is our first cruise with Princess, and this is all new for us.

    So I also have been trying to utilize my free specialty dinner also, however the only option I keep seeing is my credit card also.  Some have posted there is an option of using your credit, however mine does not show up like that.  Guess I will just wait till I board and try to make one at that time.  We also have a cruise for March.  Good Luck!

    I just ordered these kits also yesterday Jan. 31, they shipped today Feb. 1, and is suppose to arrive tomorrow Feb. 2.  I think they just restocked recently, hopefully we will be receiving later expiration dates on these.

    I used the link through Princess website, and didn't have to enter any insurance information or register either.  However after I placed the order I went in to register so that my account would be set up for testing.

    So curious, did you just order multiple packs?  I only had option of a 2 pack or 3 pack.  Went ahead and ordered a 2-pack for myself and a 2-pack for my husband, just in case there were any issues with them.  We have another cruise scheduled for November, so thought we could just use them then.  Also wondering if everyone is having any luck with submitting these with your insurance company afterwards?

So I just checked and saw that the test kits through the Optum Store are now available again online.  My cruise isn't until 3/12/22, is it too early to go ahead and order these?  Read about expiration dates, however site doesn't mention anything about that.  What's the normal exp. date once they are received?  Thanks for any help from past experience.  Thinking I should go ahead and order since they are available again.

So we are new to Princess and just chose an arrival time.  However what is the difference or meaning of the different group letters vs. the boarding times?  We chose a 11:00 - 12:00 time however it says Group I, so what actually does that mean?  Looking for all you experienced Princess cruisers.  Thanks!
