  1. My DH and I will be sailing out of San Juan next Sunday. We want to watch our Chiefs play that day. Would we be able to watch it on board? I'm guessing not since the game starts about 8 hours before we leave port. In that case, is there anywhere near the port where we could catch the game?

Also, the Chiefs play on Thursday Night Football that week. Does AOS have the NFL Network?

  2. To me, if it's warm enough for a bathing suit, then I can wear white. Thus, I always take white stuff on cruises. However, back at home, I would not wear white dress pants, a white skirt, or white dress shoes if it's not bathing suit weather. I just think those items look weird if it's not warm out.

  3. My DH and I are looking at taking a 10 nighter out of Ft. Lauderdale in Feb 2016. The cruise has 4 nights at sea. I know virtually nothing about Serenade and wonder if there will be enough to do and if it will be big enough for us.

To help....I have loved the Royal Promenade on the ships I've been on with that and am sailing on another with it in 50 days. My DH and I also loved Enchantment of the Seas. It was set up entirely differently of course but didn't seem small. There was plenty going on too, including ballroom dancing which we really liked! I have also been on Monarch, which I really did NOT like.

So...will we like Serenade or should we find a different cruise?

    TIA!

  4. I wasn't sure where else to post this, but Antigua seems to have an active board so I thought I'd start here.

My soon-to-be husband and I are going to be on a 7 night cruise in November, hitting Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, and St. Croix. Which of these has the best ziplining? Also, do any of these countries offer helicopter sightseeing tours?

    Thank you for the help!

  5. I got off Enchantment of the Seas this past Friday, the 18th. I still feel like everything is moving. This has happened to me after previous cruises as well. One time it lasted 2 weeks. The other times have been a week or less. My head has been hurting me this time as well.

Like others have said, I don't get seasick on board (even if I don't take anything) and I don't have the motion problems when I get off at ports. Only when I get off the cruise completely.

I think I will take someone else's suggestion and try some Bonine or Dramamine. Maybe that will help. I am ready for this to go away, but it would never stop me from cruising! :-)

  6. Just got back from a cruise a few days ago. We used Gerry. Had him booked for 3 hours. We went to El Mirador and the ruins. We had a great time with him. He even sang to us in the car and hugged us at the end. Don't know many taxi drivers like that! Later, when we were walking around downtown, he drove by, saw us, and honked. We would definitely hire him again.
