I bought 100 shares to get the OBC and set a limit sell when the cost rose enough to cover commission. Except I cant math and set the limit at commission + $150. I literally have no idea how I made that mistake.
Stock hit my limit the day after I got the confirmation letter with the buy, so I got $100 OBC and $150 in cap gains.

Perfect timing -- we're sailing the Pride (same itinerary) on Sunday. Thanks for taking the time to do this. You have me so excited already! :D
Another H review will be forthcoming? I get on when you get off, so I will get to read it from the ship. :)

Now I know it isn't possible to prepay for the Cheers program, however, has anyone pre-bought Cruise Cash to pay for it when they are on board? How was your experience? I'm just worried I am going to get on board and then be out $575.
You wont be. The cruise cash/bar cash/etc are all just dollars that go on your S&S.

The taxi system in Cozumel seems legit.
You misspelled "Utterly Terrifying".
My last cab ride in Cozumel, 5:30 am, very hung over, and the driver was talking on one phone, texting on another and flying down the road. She acted like she didnt understand english, and was more than a bit miffed that I speak espanol and asked her to focus on one thing at a time.

If you like Pina Coladas, you'll probably like the Twilights too, yummy!
Huge coconut fan. Que es a twilight?

I would think it would depend on where you are going at the port. If heading to the beach I would think appropriate but I would also have to assume that if walking around the port the police don't want to see beer guzzling cruisers walking down the street.
Theres cops on HMC?

I wonder if the Facebook "in app" internet browser will work?
It will not. Its not the app so much as the destination address and port that works. I.E. you can connect to http://www.facebook.com but not, for instance, http://www.buzzfeed.com.
-
So here is my question: if you leave from New York you can't purchase until you are in international waters, which is probably around 6PM. If you purchase drinks before it will be charged to your sail and sign card. Will those be credited once you buy the Cheers, If not can you buy the package on day 2?
You can use it. You just get charged NY state sales tax till you are in international waters.

as for the JD, some don't know any better. I guess if oyu cutting it with coke it's smooth. Koval. It's rare that I find something that I haven't heard of, bout you did it. I would love to tr it.
I was in San Francisco a few months ago at a place called "Cask" just wandering around when they were setting up a display and tasting for Koval. I'm almost kinda glad they dont sell it near me.

I'm super paranoid about missing flights. And I used to know the exact time it took to sprint from security to nearly any gate at Hartsfield.
Why not use the 90 min wait time to grab a breakfast at the airport?
-
Absolutely. :)
And it must not taste near as smooth and good as Jack Daniels. :D
Umm. I am never one to question another's taste in alcohol, but really? JD ain't smooth.
Wanna actually enjoy a bourbon? Koval out of Chicago. Or if nothing else, Bulleit. You will thank me later.

I'm more inclined to view weight limits literally in regards to excursions in 3rd world countries.
^This. If they say 240.. I gotta think they *really* mean it. It is not some round number. 250 might mean 300+ but 240 means Two Hundred Forty. Its too specific to be a recommendation...

If you are flying in and staying at a hotel, many of the major hotel chains have business centers where you can print things like the Medical release. Just thrown them on a flash drive or email them to yourself, login to their computer, go to web mail, login, print docs... Or just login to carnival.com.
Most public libraries offer printing for a small fee. So does Staples and all the bidness supply places.
One time my DD decided to wait till 7:30 am to print a paper that was due that day. I live in a town of 900 people. The closest place I could think of at 7 am was 30 miles away. Turns out that insurances agents dont mind if you print a 4 page doc on their printer at 7:40 am. :)

This!!
The official government website to request a free copy of each credit report once a year is annualcreditreport.com
Thanks, I couldn't remember which one was actually the free one and didn't want to give out bad links. :)

There is an elephant in the room you need to address very soon... A passport and birth certificate are identities for people. I would contact the nearest Passport Agency, or get forms online and report the passport lost. The two forms you need are:
DS-11 (Passport replacement)
DS-64 (Statement Regarding Lost or Stolen Passport)
Both of these forms can be obtained from:
http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/forms.html
I would also contact the three credit reporting agencies and get copies of credit reports immediately and place a security hold on all requests for credit.
By the way, assuming two weeks to get a stamped birth certificate and 6 weeks to get a replacement passport, you should have no problems at all.
-
No matter what, someone is paying for that half a room... Prayers that it all works out for you!
-
I love Cozumel and PdC and basically all of the Yucatan. I agree, there are worse places to be left. :)
-
The problem is... They are hyper-aware of the cost/benefit ratio with their current offerings. Its one of the things about a cruise you just have to accept.
Not that I care overmuch, as I go into a cruise knowing what my alcohol costs will be, and I have been 100% successful in exceeding that number. Would it be nice if I could save money by buying booze up front? Sure.
I'm also one of those "On the Border" people with the drink package. Something I am also certain that CCL tracks very carefully as well.

we going to get a bottle of tequila for our room. how is the milagro tequila? thanks
Mediocre? I mean, its $20 a bottle tequila. I've had a LOT worse. Makes good mixed drinks.
-
I was on the Pride May 17-24. We went the first night and chose the "buy a bottle of wine for half price" option. I bought a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, my favorite, for about $15- not too much more than I would pay in Kroger's when it isn't on sale. For me, a better option than "free wine" of questionable value.
By the way, I ordered the MDR steakhouse selection filet mignon on our last night. It was delicious! Quite possibly the best steak I've ever had, and I like my beef!
Was the steak the normal menu or an upcharge? My DD is a steak a holic and she kept ordering the upcharge filet the last time I took her on a ship.

Sea Day 1 (Which is Monday night out of Baltimore)
Freeport (Which is Friday night out of Baltimore)
FWIW:

Also, I will second the "Eat at the steakhouse the first night" but only as general advice. I have never gone to the $$$ restaurants on a cruise.
Gluten Free Options in MDR

If you like the GF rolls/bread, it really helps them to order extra the night before. They only bake so much and after the first night I had a standing order for 2x. It was awesome. A lot of the ports I had trouble getting any food because a lot of the natives simply dont get gluten free, so the extra carbs at the end of the day were great.
The GF pizza on Carnival was terrible. I haven't had it on RCCL, but I am hoping for better.
