  1. The transportation is also FREE. Silver Line to World Trade. Go up and over the tracks by escalator or elevator and take the SL2 to Black Falcon Terminal.

Is there a shuttle from Black Falcon to Aquarium area?

  2. UPDATE:

I was looking under my husband's VIFP number, where we have our current cruise booked. I logged out of his account and into mine, where I found the offer. It's a PTF code, with rates starting at $109pp

My offer is the same PTF. Fun Play Chips and up to $500 off select rates. It does not say the amount of the Fun Play Chips though. Any ideas?

  3. Can anyone tell me what this means? I received a premier offer under my VIFP number, but when I click on it, it goes to a screen to search 283 sailings. I have no idea which ones are the premier cruses, what the prices are or how much casino cash is being offered. I could wait for the snail mail, I suppose, but I'm really curious.

Interestingly, my mother, who spends a great deal more time and money in the casino than I do, does not have a premier offer. Maybe because she's had, and taken advantage of, 3 casinos offers in the last 18 months already?

    Thanks,

    Shannon

I got the snail mail offer yesterday with a PC9 Rate Code. It says I will receive $300 casino cash. There are 10 cruises being offered. You may get it in the mail today.

  4. Hmm..I don't know DallasGuy. I guess we are getting conflicting info. Carnival told us that only the person with the offer is eligible for the promos in the casino..i.e. contests and such.

Unless things have changed since our last Premier Cruise in September, the other person [only one] gets everything except the cash. This is free drinks card, all raffle 's and gifts sent to the cabin. We got two of all gifts.

  5. There is a table set up across from the Taste Bar beside the Ocean Plaza. Very easy. Get your ticket and proceed to deck 3 to be seated or if there is a wait, you will be given a pager. While waiting, you can enjoy music in the Ocean Plaza or a drink from the Alchemy Bar. On days when the Taste Bar is opened, enjoy an appetizer from there.

We were on for 21 days in Nov and Dec and never had to wait for a table but of course each cruise is different depending on the guests each cruise.

BTW: Do not get upset if you are instructed to go to the Taste a Bar . We met some guests who were most upset and wanting to change their dining venue because they did want to sit at a bar for dtinner...lol. The Taste Bar was designated to tell them where to go to check in...lol.

Thanks so much for clearing this up so quickly. That is funny about the taste bar.:)

  6. The owners suite is a nice size cabin but for that additional price they've got to be crazy! How long is the cruise?

The cruise is for 7 nights in March.

Jeez! That's absurd, idk why they would even waste their time making that phone call. You could take at least 1, if not 2 more cruises for that price!

True. There are 3 of us now in a Grand Suite so we have plenty of room. The Carnival rep. was actually trying to convince me that it was a good deal at "only" a little over $800 each. She said the suite was 920 sq. ft. and the Grand Suite was only 330 sq. ft. That is more than enough room for us. No thanks.:)

  7. I had to go check my mailbox to see, but nope, no such letter. They might not bother sending one to me though, since they should know they would be wasting their time and paper. I've had the card since 2005, paid off the balance in full every month, and never paid a penny in interest. I have absolutely no idea what my APR is.

It sounds like a good deal for those that carry a cc balance and are booking in those dates, though.:)

I do the same thing you do and pay balance every month and I did get the letter today.

  8. You can call Carnival now. The agents say the computer doesn't show the listings yet (they said maybe by noon) but they can tell you what they are if you want to know. The sailings are from April to October 1.

Thanks so much...I thought something was wrong there. I'll wait until this afternoon and then call PVP if I need to.

  9. I received new premier offers today but I am unable to see the list that you usually see when you click on the offer.

Also got the Premier offers today but they are showing only 3 and 4 day cruises. Maybe they are still updating the list. [i hope] Not really worth air fare for less than a 7 day cruise for us.

  10. Be aware of one thing...the harbor tour does not get you on to Ft Sumter. (If you want to visit it). It will take you close to/ around it but you won't get to dock and visit. If you want to see it, you can either depart form downtown by the aquarium or from Patriot's point and it is a separate ticket.

For this trip I'm thinking getting close to/around Ft. Sumter will be enough. I just had a knee replacement and the day we have planned seems to be plenty for all 3 of us. We also don't have a car so will be getting around by taxi or as Meg suggested, Uber. Next trip [already thinking there will be a next trip] I'll probably have my husband with me and I wouldn't be able to keep him from a full tour of Ft. Sumter. Thanks for the heads up though.

  11. DH and I just tonight started talking about Charleston. Reading all these posts have made me really want to come spend a couple of extra days ....plus I'm now hungry for some great food. Spring is a long way off ............

Charleston does seem to have a lot to offer. We plan to do a Tri-Combo Tour with http://www.charlestonharbortours.com. This includes Charleston Harbor Tour, Carriage Tour of historic district in Charleston and admission to Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. The price is only $59.00 for all three. :)
