Thanks so much. I had reviewed that page but failed to make it to the last question! I was really asking because I have read several posts where people are “up to date” yet they received emails from Celebrity saying they were not. I am trying to understand why this would be the case. It seemed they were being put through the wringer despite falling into the up to date category based on its description. Just hoping it was all working out when they finally made it to the ship as they were not having success getting answers from Celebrity.

Can anyone confirm for me, based on recent experience, that you are considered Up to Date with vaccines having had 2 (full series) as well as a booster even if you are outside of the 270 day requirement. Recently there have been several posters who have indicated they were Up to Date in this situation only to be contacted by Celebrity to say they are not. Have not heard if this was true or simply a misstatement. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks so much to everyone for the replies. Most informative. We will use one of the car services mentioned and self assist debarking the ship. Since we are from Canada with no requirement to test to return home I assume there is no other test requirement when we leave the ship? Italy doesn't require any testing when getting off the ship do they?

Can you tell me if there is a shuttle involved in transporting you to the gates of the port? My husband seems to think there is one and I can’t recall.

I’m considering booking one of these companies for our upcoming cruise in September. When you walk off the ship with luggage (never have done this before) are you required to disembark at a specified time? Our flight is not until 1:45 pm so getting transport at say 7:00 am might be a bit early for us but I’m not sure we have an option to disembark later. Are you able to just walk easily to where the transport is waiting for you or is there a shuttle or something that takes you to the gates? We certainly don’t mind being at the airport super early but would like to be able to maybe enjoy a nice breakfast on the ship before disembarking.

Thank you for the information. I was a bit confused also about docking in Rome. So you do not need to test leaving the ship to fly back home? What is this Certificate that people reference using to fly after the cruise? This is so confusing!

I have always found these boards to be a wealth of information so I am now coming back for more assistance! Our final payment is coming up for our Sept cruise and my head is swimming trying to figure out whether we want to do the cruise or not, based on some horror stories I have been reading on these boards. We intend to fly into Amsterdam about 4 days before the cruise and leave Rome on the day we debark in Rome. We are from Canada. Currently there is no testing requirement for us to return to Canada. I am confused about what other testing we are required to do. My husband and I are both fully vaxed and boosted but all three shots fall outside of the 270 days I see referenced. Are we considered **Up to Date**? What testing would need to be done upon entry to Amsterdam, cruise ship and when we debark in Rome? Also, just FYI we both have just recently had Covid ourselves but where we live in Canada it is no longer possible to get a PCR test done unless you are in a high risk category so we are unable to provide the proof of this to do the 180 day waiver(which I thought might also be helpful).
