Never saw a Shore Excursion sale, but that might explain it. I know they are all far more than they used to be! 😁

We don't cruise until next year, but I like to book our shore excursions and specialty dining early. Really glad I did especially where shore excursions are concerned. Paid $69.95 for one two weeks ago, it's now $84.95! Another has increased by $10 (which I guess is "reasonable" 😉).
Was considering one for $149.95 and decided against it as I thought it was too expensive. That one's now $179.95!!

360 Experience is available to be booked pre-cruise on the app. No cabin restrictions.

Is there any difference at all between GiGi's and Alfredo's? Their menus look completely identical. Why the rename?
-
Not eclue, but our balcony cabin on the Emerald not only had the bathroom light, but under each end table in the bedroom there were also motion triggered lights. 😠

JUST got a second email (Thursday was the first) encouraging me to book my shore excursions...
Jeez Princess, get your act in gear. 🙄

Called and the woman I spoke to could not get anyone in authority to respond as to what's going on. But she confirmed that it is indeed a website issue, and said to check again on Monday.
And I was actually surprised to get a response quickly on the Chat line -
we are currently experiencing a system issue, please try to check for it after an hour.

We’ll be onboard the Majestic just before it goes back overseas for the changes. Really looking forward to trying Harmony & Chopsticks before they disappear!

We really noticed that the Emerald was showing its age when we were onboard for 29 days a few months ago. Four different major public toilet issues, our shower that took FAR too long to get to work properly (multiple fix it visits) and the slowest elevators we’ve ever experienced.
But the best MDR waiter we’ve ever had (shout out to Jefferson!), the restaurant boss Riu, and an amazing entertainment staff outweighed all of that.
But knowing how the Princess staff get moved around, it’s very unlikely that we’ll book the Emerald again.

Glad to read that it's not just me. But strange that both the app and the website aren't working.

I just got off of Emerald Princess a couple of days ago. The Cruise Director is Lloyd Flay, and the Captain is Stefano Ravera. The ED was a woman, but unfortunately I don't have her name. And I don't think the Director of Restaurant Operations was Rui Pereira, but I don't have the man's name. I'd appreciate it if someone would update the Capt. and CD on the list for me. Thanks!
Wow that's a lot of changes since we were onboard in March! New cruise director, entertainment director, and director of Restaurant Operations!! All three (Kevin, Geoff & Rui) were wonderful, and Rui is an absolute treasure. So much fun.

I totally agree with you about the art auctions. I firmly believe that 99% of the attendees are there for the free "champagne"! 😝

Lovely photo of the two of you, and of the food! 😀

The entertainment staff is by far our favourite feature of Princess. In 2023 we were on the Sky with Paul Chandler Burns as our CD (where did he go???) and Alejandro and Sarah were just two of our amazing assistants. I might be an exception, but these people are the reason we keep coming back to Princess. 🥰

Erica, Lovely, Noemi, Sierra and Savannah. Truly a great crew of women that we would be thrilled to sail again with!
But unfortunately the Emerald Princess is far too “long in the tooth” for us. Hopefully we’ll meet them all again on a newer ship! 🤞

We had the most amazing all female staff of Assistant Cruise Directors on the Emerald Princess earlier this year!! Never had that experience before, but it was fabulous!

Thanks so much @Ms411, I'll definitely check both options out.

At this point it looks like the Enchanted Princess will be the only ship in St Thomas on Friday February 21, and we're there from 10am-10pm! We've been to St Thomas multiple times, but never until so late in the evening. I'm assuming we'll be docked at Havensight. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice place to eat dinner and watch the sunset? DH is a little challenged mobility wise, so ideally we would like to go somewhere close to the cruise port or a short taxi ride away. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Harbor Lights is where we went last year. I think that's the one they usually go to.

DH used a pool noodle on the Emerald for 30 days this winter. Packs easily around the perimeter of a suitcase. He puts it between his legs for stability since his stroke 6 years ago. No issues at all and he wasn’t alone in using one.

Yes I've learned that recently here as well. If a Deluxe Balcony cabin actually has a bigger BALCONY, we'll be all over booking one. But for us a love seat and/or couch is not a big deal. Last year we got "upgraded" from a Premium Balcony to a Mini Suite. Worst move ever for us. Tiniest balcony we've ever seen and lesson learned. But I know we are not the norm and that many really like the extra cabin room.
Big jump in Shore Excursion pricing!

And now there's a 20% sale on shore excursions...... which brings them right back to where they were when I booked them before the increase. C'mon Princess, you're not fooling anyone. Or at least not anyone here. 😉
