Try to find an identical excursion from a private company and use Carnival's price match guarantee. They give you 110% of the difference back in on board credit. Just make sure both offer the exact same things and times.

It is COLD in there. Pack him some pants please.
-
That is undoubtedly a ploy to sell more FTTF.

Ask the taxi to take you to Tropicante. It is free. Email Steve ahead of time to reserve your free chairs. If you don't like it, there are many other beach clubs that you can walk to from Tropicante. They are all connected in 1 long row.

Please consider Turquoise Bay Dive Resort on a future cruise. We had a lovely day there. Prices were great!

Had a lovely day here. $20 for 2 chairs and umbrella. Did not eat but drinks were reasonable. My only complaint was the banana boat noise constantly in and out.
We took the local bus here and the water taxi back. I would recommend a private taxi. Both our modes of transit required waiting until completely full in the HOT sun. Not worth the savings, but it was an interesting cultural experience.

A beautiful little island. So sorry for its residents.
-
If you check their website, the owners of the island are complaining that Carnival has a monopoly on excursions there. So you can only visit through Carnival.

Photographs I have seen of Blue Kay do not suggest there is much else there other than loungers on the beach, which may/may not now have pads.
What aspect did you find "creepy"?
Was the beach dirty with seagrass/seaweed or a lot of trash?
It's dark, rundown, gloomy. Creepy servers. Just don't go there. Much much nicer beach clubs a short walk away.

Buccaner resort if you want something quiet, peaceful and secluded . It was featured on the Bachelor. Beautiful resort off the beaten path. No admission fee.
-
Just to clarify...
The Buccaneer now charges $10 per chair on their beach (similar to Rainbow Beach).
They did not enforce this while we were there, but it would have been well worth it. We spent most of our time in the shaded restaurant area and in the cabanas. There were very few people there. When we received our final bill, there was no $10 charge.

hi all
We are going this December with my 1 yr and 6 yrs old kids and basically looking for nice blue beach and white sand so I and my husband can relax and kids can play in water n sand. Is the beach beautiful? Is it secluded? What else would you recommend to try there? Thanks in advance
It is very secluded. You can only go there through Carnival. The ocean water was very choppy and not suitable for swimming. The pools are beautiful. There are lots of seashells on the beach. The children may enjoy collecting them. There were mostly adults there when I visited. Only a couple of kids.

I don't recall seeing a liquor store last month. Unless there's one in town.

Maybe a delayed cruise? One thing experienced cruisers know during hurricane season , information is not given freely or offered regarding passenger safety before boarding . Income is the cruise lines main concern . They play hide and seek while watching the weather
Carnival has known all day that the port would be closed. There's no excuse for them not to tell passengers leaving Saturday.

So you travelled all the way to Mobile, only to find out that you're not sailing tomorrow? And Carnival hasn't notified you of anything?
That's ridiculous! You shouldn't have to find out your cruise is cancelled from an Internet message board.
-
Any idea when the Carnival Fantasy will dock in Mobile for the 0ct. 7 cruise?
Reports from passengers onboard now are they have been told Monday.
-
Not sure, but I would rather go to Princess Cay than Grand Turk.
-
I was in Mobile. The port told me Fantasy will not be getting in . I am furious we have been told nothing by carnival. If someone is on te Fantasy now, please let us know if youhaebeeupdate.
Am I understanding correctly, you are scheduled to cruise tomorrow and Carnival STILL hasn't updated you?
-
Oh.. is it just few toddlers that you saw or kids not allowed at all? I have 1 yr and 6 yrs and looking into reviews I was really looking forward for this... but 1 question though why not kid friendly coz it's a beach?
Kids are allowed. There just weren't many there. I'm not sure why. I wouldn't recommend it for children.
-
Sorry about the passengers expecting to board tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

My understanding is Carnival still hasn't communicated to passengers their cruise has been cancelled. They should let them know something.
-
Port of Mobile is closing due to Nate. Fantasy can't come back in tomorrow. Passengers onboard reporting they expect to be back Monday.

Do you have a Sams Club or Costco membership? They have awesome prices on Movado.

Your best options would be Paradise Beach, Mr. Sanchos, or Playa Mia.
My favorite is Paradise Beach. The others are package deals and I do not eat $55 worth of food to justify the expense.
Carnival Breeze or Adventure of the Seas?

Adventure is an amazing ship. You made a good choice.
