  1. Had a lovely day here. $20 for 2 chairs and umbrella. Did not eat but drinks were reasonable. My only complaint was the banana boat noise constantly in and out.

We took the local bus here and the water taxi back. I would recommend a private taxi. Both our modes of transit required waiting until completely full in the HOT sun. Not worth the savings, but it was an interesting cultural experience.

  2. Just to clarify...

The Buccaneer now charges $10 per chair on their beach (similar to Rainbow Beach).

They did not enforce this while we were there, but it would have been well worth it. We spent most of our time in the shaded restaurant area and in the cabanas. There were very few people there. When we received our final bill, there was no $10 charge.

  3. hi all

We are going this December with my 1 yr and 6 yrs old kids and basically looking for nice blue beach and white sand so I and my husband can relax and kids can play in water n sand. Is the beach beautiful? Is it secluded? What else would you recommend to try there? Thanks in advance

It is very secluded. You can only go there through Carnival. The ocean water was very choppy and not suitable for swimming. The pools are beautiful. There are lots of seashells on the beach. The children may enjoy collecting them. There were mostly adults there when I visited. Only a couple of kids.

  4. Maybe a delayed cruise? One thing experienced cruisers know during hurricane season , information is not given freely or offered regarding passenger safety before boarding . Income is the cruise lines main concern . They play hide and seek while watching the weather

Carnival has known all day that the port would be closed. There's no excuse for them not to tell passengers leaving Saturday.

  5. I was in Mobile. The port told me Fantasy will not be getting in . I am furious we have been told nothing by carnival. If someone is on te Fantasy now, please let us know if youhaebeeupdate.

Am I understanding correctly, you are scheduled to cruise tomorrow and Carnival STILL hasn't updated you?

  6. Oh.. is it just few toddlers that you saw or kids not allowed at all? I have 1 yr and 6 yrs and looking into reviews I was really looking forward for this... but 1 question though why not kid friendly coz it's a beach?

Kids are allowed. There just weren't many there. I'm not sure why. I wouldn't recommend it for children.

  7. Sorry about the passengers expecting to board tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

My understanding is Carnival still hasn't communicated to passengers their cruise has been cancelled. They should let them know something.
