  1. Think the OPs idea is to keep OJ from the Lido in the cabin using her empty bottle from home.

Glucose tablets would be a good choice to keep handy if he does not carry already.

Room service has some great choices if he can wait 30 minutes using other means (tablets, and bars)

    That seems unsanitary

Will Carnival allow that? I would just carry on cans or cartons of juice. Carnival juice isn't that great anyway

  2. If you know a photographer offer to pay for their cruise in exchange for them to photograph your wedding. Im talking inside guarantee cabin, the cheapest you can find.

If they would like to bring a guest they have to pay for the guest and that could save you money.

If ur going on a 4 or 5 night cruise that's around $600ish solo in an inside cabin. Plus they could photograph the entire event. Bride and groom getting ready, 1st look, ceremony, reception.

Even if the cabin cost up to $1000 you will still get a good deal.

Look for a photographer building their business. They'll jump at the opportunity to have a cruise and beach wedding in their portfolio. Plus they get a free cruise!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Forums mobile app

I second this suggestion. They could take photos of you on the ship on formal night, by the pool, sail away etc

  3. We enjoyed the reef Club but do not expect it to have a great beach but it is acceptable. The pool is great, the staff is hard working, they will not let you dink go dry but the food is not that great.

Were there lots of people harassing you to buy stuff? We are trying to get away from town to avoid that.

Do they have beach massages? Any idea what the price is?

  4. I sent in complaining because they said that autoprosso was not entitled for guarantee and that others had gotten it, and received back that supervisor had said they were not to honor any comparisons for auto progresso site at al.

Sounds like Carnival started losing too much money and stopped honoring their guarantee.

I was successful in getting them to price match my tour with Autoprogreso. Saved $38 each! This was for the Reef Resort All Inclusive Beach Break. They matched it for 6 in our party. A couple of us had to resubmit the request form because it was denied. So, if they turn you down be persistent and try again. Make sure you put the exact SAME description, length of tour, resort name, etc. or they will deny it and say the tours are not comparable.

  5. One advantage of booking in advance is the low price guarantee. Carnival will refund 110% of the difference in OBC if you find the same excursion offered by a private tour company for a lower price.

I was successful in finding the exact same beach break in Progreso, MX with a private company. This resulted in $38 ea OBC refunded for all 6 in our party.

It's a win win situation, since you have the security of booking directly with the ship and get the lower price.

  6. I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer. She may not be able to go on the cruise. She and her roommate purchased CCL insurance.

If she cancels will her roommate have to pay the difference? Do they both have to cancel?

Her roommate still wants to go.

    Will they refund her $$$?

We're cruising September 9, so we're past final payment.

  7. Consider Paradise Beach. Same beach, you can see Playa Mia from Paradise Beach. You would very very likely not spend nearly as much on food or drinks unless you are an alcoholic.

Cost $3 to get in and about $15 for the floating water playground equipment use.
