  1. I had been looking at the 2 cruises a have already booked. I went back and did a mock booking for a few different ones. They are all different. Some had old pricing and some had $80 for both packages. I wonder if this is a new way to get people to pick the itenery with the lowest package price?

  2. I saw that on the main Plus Permier main  page that it was still the same but when I go to plan a cruise it comes up with the new pricing. One time it actually had the Plus as more than the Premier.  I also called a couple of days ago and they told me it had not changed. I have already booked 2 cruises with the old pricing. Hope they don’t change it on me

  3. We just got off a 15 day Panama cruise on Island. Personally I would not sail the Island again. Missed the International Cafe. The gym is on deck 7 with no view of the sea. Although they did a facelift the cabins could use some work. We also prefer bigger ships. I didn't post a review because these are just my feelings. Others may not agree.

  4. Thanks again for all the replies I found something on

Amazon that I think will work well for us. As I said in my original post, I do plan to tell them about the extra wine I plan to bring. It's not that much money and I really feel better about letting them know. Happy cruising!

  5. We are cruising soon for 15 days. I want to take my own wine. I do plan to tell them I have 4 extra bottles. I live in the city in which the ship leaves from, so no flying. What is the best way to carry 6 bottles of wine on board? I know most say carry on ( and I do plan on carrying it on) but is there a box or something else that you have used so I don't have to put it in my carryon luggage?

  6. I have used it for every cruise and love it. I hang mine on the bathroom door facing the closets. Shampoo, sunscreen, shave cream brushes, lotion etc. anything you would need in the bathroom. Just grab it before you go in or simply reach around after if you realize you forgot something. One of the est tips I have gotten here.

  7. Once again.... I don't believe you should have to dress in a tux and formal dress. But what is wrong in expecting people to dress UP a little. I have seen threads on here with people being very angry that they cannot wear what they want to the dining room on formal night. Dressing nice on formal night has been a staple on cruises for years. I personally hope Princess does not change their policy regardless of what other cruise lines are doing.

  8. Times change. The cruising demographic changes. The majority of cruisers now prefer a more casual experience. They are not "little boys". They are adults. They are your fellow passengers. It's time to "respect" their wishes and change the "rules" to make for a more enjoyable experience.

Enjoyable for who? When i walk into the dining room an see those who decide that dressing up a little is not for them and they have jeans and a baseball cap on it is not enjoyable for me. ( I am not talking tuxedos and prom dresses) Remember there are alternatives if you don't want to dress according to Princess guidelines A nice dress shirt and slacks would work for me . But unfortunately some don't even want to do that. Some times it's not all about you.

  9. It pays even more to have a good TA. We had already made final payment for our April cruise over a week ago but the night before the Princess final payment date which was a few days ago, Princess suddenly lowered fares and offered included gratuities... for new bookings only. Within minutes of my inquiry, we were rebooked at a lower fare (we were already paying a lot less than the new sale fare) and the free gratuities, each saving $000's.

I know we are not allowed to recommend TA"s on here, so how do I find a good one? I had one I was using but I saw no value in it. I had to call when the price went down and never got any perks.

  10. Not on the Plaza deck but on our very first cruise we were on the Riveria deck right under the pool. Someone said you can hear them putting the pool chairs out very early in the morning and putting them away at night. I asked our travel agent an she said there would be no problem. Well I can tell you there was. I am a light sleeper but I am sure most could hear it. I would never book a room under the pool again.
