  1. I use my IPHone 6 at the gym all the time. I have an arm band I put it in. Have no problem with sweating and it doesn't use my data. Also no extra device to bring on my cruise. I will use that on my next cruise. If you stream Spotify or any other streaming music you will pay hefty for data. You don't have to pay for music if you have CD's. simply load the music from them on to your ITunes via your computer.

  2. For me it would be the Caribbean. My daughter lives in Alaska. It CAN be cold and dreary even in the summer. For me personally when I cruise I don't want to be cold. That's just my opinion. Yesterday it snowed it Denali state park. All depends on what you expect from your cruise. Alaska is too dicy for me.

  3. Here is my experience. if it is not directly below the pool you are fine. On our first cruise we were on the Rivera deck which is right below the pool. Yes we did hear them putting the chairs out on the deck in the morning. Never again. We even asked our TA and she said no problem. Since Aloha is 2 decks below the pool I don't think you will have a problem. Never been that close to the elevators

  4. Thanks everyone for the replies. I did look and it appears that the bigger balconies are mid ship. We are slightly aft so it looks like a regular size balcony for us. The balconies directly below us on Caribe deck are the same. I am sure what we have now will be fine. I don't want to pay more for a bigger balcony. Thanks again.

  5. Since you are a manicurist, please advise me!

I got my finger slammed in a door back in October. The nail is finally starting to come off, but the sides are still attached. I don't want to rip it off because I know it'll hurt and am afraid it will make the new nail grow in weird (I can see the new nail already). What should I do? How long will it take before I have a new nail? I'm so sad that in 6 weeks when I go on my cruise I'll have a horrible looking middle nail *cries*

And thank you, Indiana! I thought they were incredibly glamorous. I'm in looooove with them... for $50 who wouldn't be? LOL!

Bummer about the nail. If you have a regular manicurist visit her and see what she can do for you. If not cut as much of the loose nail as you can to keep it from catching on something and ripping off the rest of the way. Unfortunately a new nail takes 5 months to grow from the cuticle to the tip of the finger. I would just go ahead and manicure the rest of your nails in a light color and enjoy your trip.

  6. We have only cruised on Royal Caribbean to the Caribbean & Bermuda. Whether one of the older ships or brand new Oasis, formal dress was the same.

When we must fly to the embarkation port, DH rents a tux onboard(to save luggage space). Other times he takes sport jackets, dress shirts, ties. Men are seen in both - probably less in tuxes.

I've never worn a "gown" and have only seen them occasionally. Any cocktail dress looks nice. I also have off-white dress pants that I pair with a gold lacy blouse, shimmery earrings and gold heels.

Does anyone else try several shades of nail polish before settling on the perfect color that will co-ordinate with every outfit? A shimmery very pale Sally Hansen Lavender Marquis looked like a winner. It's more pink than lavender and with all the bright tropical clothes, it looked boring - but did stay on without chipping for a week.

Earlier today I put on Confetti (never used that brand before) Last Dance. The color is a light raspberry and it isn't "pearlescent". I think it might be what I'm looking for!:) ...if it stays nice for a week.

Reds and browns, IMHO, are best for fall and winter. My outfits are mostly shades of bright pink, yellow, orange, etc.

No I don't try on different polish. I am a manicurist and use Shellac. I do a French (o. K. I have another manicurist do it) and it lasts for 2 weeks. I love the clean look and it lasts the whole time
