Is the cruise compass attached somewhere? I don't see it in the thread.
They are online now.

I did not include the Cruise Compasses by PDF. Something that I will probably do this week.
Please let me know if you have any questions that I can help you with.

Before this cruise there were several 3 day Enchantment OTS Bahamas Cruise Compass threads but only one 4 day. So this thread contains the Enchantment Cruise Compass, and related materials, from the August 31, 2015 sailing.
Route is:
Day 1 - Port Canaveral
Day 2 - CocoCay, Bahamas
Day 3 - Nassau, Bahamas
Day 4 - At Sea
Day 5 - Port Canaveral
Notes:
The Deck Plans are not to scale for Deck 11. Both the Concierge and Diamond Lounges are much smaller than indicated.

I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but I don't know where to find the info. My question is about TV stations on the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas, cruise ship.
We are going on the cruise leaving September 25th, and returning September 28th, 2015. I was also planning on attending the Tennessee vs. Florida college football game in September, before realizing that the game is scheduled this year on the 26th, when I will be on the cruise. This is the first time I ever remember this game being scheduled on the 4th Saturday in September, but that is how it goes for me. Since I had the cruise booked already, I will not be able to attend the game.
I was wondering if the TV in our room, will have CBS available, as this is the network that typically carries the game? If not, is there any place on the ship, that will have a TV, that will be carrying that game?
Any help I can get with this question, will be appreciated.
I have never been on a RCL ship that had a CBS channel.
Channels are typically: TNT, TBS, ESPN, CNN (HL?), FOXN, CNBC, Disney, ABC Family, HBO, etc. Below is a listing of the channels from my last cruise (different ship). Listings can differ slightly ship to ship based on generation of equipment onboard.
That being said, check with the cruise activities staff (led by Asst Cruise Director) for programming poolside.
And consider the use of a DVR at home. I can enjoy the playback of my home DVR anywhere with internet connectivity. (It works really well allowing us to keep up with sports and TV shows while aboard! We seldom watch anything realtime. Always recorded.

I don't know of any ship (carnival or otherwise) offering free internet.
Everyone thinks internet at sea is almost as easy as internet at home or a hotel.
IT IS NOT.
Dishes have to be Gyro stabilized to work on the water. Upgrading those dishes is very expensive, since they are pure satellite systems.
Making it free only means everyone pays for it and it will be slower. And people will still bitch about it. Not sure if I would open myself up to how dissatisfied cruisers would be for slow free internet.

St Kitts Is a quirky place and well worth a day ashore with a guide..... highly recommend http://tourstkittsandnevis.com/
Alternatively, if it's being offered, take the organised day to Nevis. I fell in love with this little island which is full of lush scenery and history.
Linda
That is a great website to recommend.

Not sure about MDR. Since we knew we would be staying on the ship that day, we booked dinner at chops. If you plan on not getting of at Nassau and want to try chops, it's a perfect night to do it. Overall the ship may have felt a little less crowded, but not anything significant.
KWitt703,
Thanks for writing this review. Well done.
I enjoyed hearing about the comparisons and your impressions.
We are sailing on the Enchantment at the end of August. Our 2nd Vision Class. We are excited to be on one of the older grand ladies of the sea.
Please post the Cruise Compasses. There are many on 4 days sailings that do not have a recent Cruise Compass to view.
Thanks again.

Also wondering if you knew of anyone doing a B2B on Adventure. Just trying to determine if we have to get off or not, I have heard different ways different ships handle people doing B2B and just wondering how Adventure handles it.
Some folks say you get off but get right back on (to get a new card) and some people say they just met in a certain location on the ship and were given new cards for the second week.
No big deal either way, just curious. Thanks.
You check in for both cruises at your first embarkation. US Customs allows for B2B or more with combined customs. However if you exceed onship purchase limits during any cruise you will have to go pay, but you can return to the ship at anytime.
Passports are scanned at Checkin and are left in the possession of the passport holder providing you are not from a country that does not link to the global passport clearance center. In that case they hold it until it clears.
I would assume that your problem in the EU was due to the port not having appropriate connectivity or an elevated alert.

That`s not cool but a shame as it destroys the next nice ship in the fleet. She also gets an ugly hat with cabins. Buttom line is more people on the boat and and less space on the open decks.
Having Been on the Navigator after the Refurb I can add that the 12 deck cabins, adding a smaller front crown, result in more deck space, over the new area. It has emerged as an excellent viewing area. Especially when coming into or leaving port.
Also the flow rider is a welcome addition. The Disco off the Promenade (Jesters) will likely be converted into a Sabor's Mexican Restaurant (top level) and interior rooms (lower). Card rooms in the crown are converted to an Isumi Restaurant.
So yes a few more people, but some very welcome upgrades.

Has anyone taken this cruise out of Gavleston to the Western Caribbean? It looks like it's only going out of Galveston starting in Jan 2016 but I can't be sure. I'm looking for the compass for this sailing if anyone has it.
Thanks!
I would imagine that the Navigator Cruise Compass for the Galveston Sailings will be very accurate until Liberty Cruise Compasses are posted.

It seems that when reading thru the responses and preferences, what I hear matches my experiences.
My pros for RCL:
RCL is a more sedate crowd and experience. The entertainment quality is higher. The ships are less crowded. (Check common space ratio. ..) less people in 138000 vs 130000 tons. The target audience is a little older. 40s etc. And the ship has a more traditional decorative scheme.
Not for everyone but given your age and preferences I think the decision should be easy.

Will Enchantment gain slides? Free internet?

Airlines are grabbing high speed internet access for far fewer users. Cruise ships use similar gyro stabilized satellite feeds on a much larger scale. And very costly.
I know more than a few cruisers that compare HSIA on a cruise ship to a hotel. Well hotels don't move, so they have simple cables or fiber.
Lastly, the free internet experiment on Majesty is likely just that. Getting a heavy load test to work out system bugs. I doubt this will ever be system wide. If it is, the available band width will be watered down to the point it is almost useless. You better hope you are paying for it. But I do see it as a suite package inclusion.
