Just posted this same question to a thread about flowers being available on board...so glad I can bring some on and that the steward may have a vase!!:p

Is it possible to bring flowers on board while in a port??? So many times we walk though a market area and see the florist displays.. I will be in Italy and Spain...

Yes. The Canyon Ranch people are running it now and the Zumba instructors are employed by them instead of Celebrity. I talked to one and he was not a happy camper. Classes are $11 + 18% tip, making them almost $13. They did do the first one poolside and it was free but subsequent classes were held in the Fitness area. Several classes were at 5 PM a stupid time esp for people eating early.
Thanks....$13..geezzzz..wonder how long that will "float"..... and 5pm... even on a seaday??? doing a TA a late morning class would be better.

I had an issue with pricing of an ipad purchased on the Infinity...contacted Celebrity..told it was a leased shop and nothing they would/could do. Contacted Apple and never received a reply.
long story short.....know the prices if you have a specific item you are shopping for and understand and get in writing if necessary the policy

Bought an Ipad on the Infinity last year...was told the price was the same as home....guess what even with the tax saving I could have done better at the store with the "bullseye and the cute dog".....they have specials with gift cards with purchase...;);) discounts on cases, etc...
live and learn....
as mentioned the original poster is non US so the ship may be a good deal..

The name brand watches come with the name brand warranty honored most anywhere. If they're Bijou Terner, the warranty lasts until you get out the door!
I guess I am lucky...I bought two Bijou Tener watches on two different cruises (different lines also)...both lasted for years..... Yes, they are fashion items and you get what you pay for but for 10-15 buck they fun fashion items...

Thank you for all the great info here....I am looking at the Canon t3i and sl1...this thread has pushed me to the sl1 since it is a bit smaller...I have handled the t3 and t3i at a local box store but not the sl1....
I am planning a visit to a " major camera store" in NYC that buys old equipment ( I have a Canon FTB that I loved and lenses that are no longer usable for digital..someone make an adapter!!) I haven't used this camera in over 10yrs since I purchased my p&s digital but miss the functions of SLR...
Since I plan on buying a "bundle"...what is a good lens to start with??? The bundles have different ones...plus the cases, lens cleaning kits, straps...etc.
Thank you....I am so glad I found this thread and the wealth of information from fellow cruisers..:D

Hi! I wanted to post a link to my blog post about our port day on the Norwegian Epic. We had a great day with Provence-Connection Tours. It seemed to me when I was planning our day there wasn't too many options listed for various guides or tours out there, so I wanted to make sure to share our experience. I also have a link to entire trip report in my signature. The blog and trip report are pretty similar, only the blog isn't quite finished yet!
If anyone has any questions on our day in France, I'd be happy to answer them!

We dock in Toulon..the website for the tour company isn't clear do you know if they pick there???
Thanks

We will be here for one day in November...any suggestions..Favorite site or something unexpected you did or found...
Private tours that were good..we aren't big fans of ships tours... Thanks:)

If you're up for a bus ride, there is a bus stop just steps from the on Via Aurelia Antica where you can get either the #98 or the #881 into the historic center.
Thank you or your replies....

We are booked at The Crowne Plaza St. Peters....we will be getting in late afternoon and have a full day tour booked the following day...then off to our ship for boarding the following day.
What we would like to know about sites and/or restaurants in the area around the hotel...depending on our actual arrival time we might venture about a bit.
Thanks

I have bought several of the "junk" watches for $10...I think of them as a piece of fashion jewelry...to wear with an outfit or for just the fun of the item. a couple of them surprised me by running for several years..with a battery replacement (lucky I can do them myself ) other lasted a year if that....
I may think twice about a good high end item since I would want to deal with the seller if there is a major problem...
-
Is the Crowne Plaza Rome the same as the Crowne Plaza St. Peters?? We are booked via Celebrity in the latter.... Thanks
-
The train sounds interesting but does anyone have any other suggestions....We were here years ago but all we recall is the caves and shopping for pearls with our Mothers......

Just went to the ChoiceAir website....guess what else is down for maintenance:eek:....

Am I the only one that can not get beyond the first page of their tours. I am interested in one and all I can do is get to the page where it asked the type and can not get further. Help!
I am having the same problem tonight...I use google chrome....I want to look at the shore excursions so we can start to research for next nov ta..
Had problems with looking at booking last week but I wasn't sure if it was me or the site since I still don't understand the circles the booking site sends folks in...Find other lines sites more straight forward...put in booking number...look at booking or look at passenger infor or tours....

I was on the 1/15 sailing as well.
Arrived at the port via taxi around 10:40. Was shown to what turned out to be some sort of early check in line. 15 minutes to the desk to have seapasses issued. Another 10 in the waiting area by the portable toilets. On the ship by 11:15. Bags in front of the door when we were allowed into the hallways at 1PM. About as smooth as embarkation gets.
We had a great cruise. The ship is not new but is well maintained. I agree with the above comments about it being a "happy" ship. Would not hesitate to book on Navigator again, though we will probably sail on Freedom next.
Is it normal that you are unable to access the cabins when you first get on board!!!!!

I bought an I pad last year....could have done better at home in a box store with their promotion..giftcard rebate and that is AFTER the sales tax would be added in.
The "clerk" was okay...didn't offer any major assistance and NO FREE INTERNET!!!
Check your shoreside pricing and as someone mentioned the specs of the model number...
as the old saying goes...buyer beware...
