I was at Connie a year ago. Yes 30% of the passengers were college students on spring break. And yes at the first day they made a lot of noise, took over the pool deck, met up to the drill in bikinis, were very drunk etc. But it was only the first day, then they calmed down. They dressed properly for dinner, was very politi and gentle, and they kept the nightclub open untill late. I would say, that they added some vibe to the cruise,

I am sailing with Connie again in July and hope, that Marko will be onboard.:)

Thank you for your review. I will be solo at Getaway in February. First NCL cruise after being loyal to the Royal family. I am a little skeptical about the Freestyle cruising concept, as I am used to dine mainly in the main dinning room, but I will give it a chance.

Well only done one Celebrity cruise so far, but Marko in Martini Bar at Constellation was amazing :)

Now I am looking even more forward to my next cruise - It might be the only Azamara cruise, I can afford, so I really will enjoy it as much as possible.

 

I will say that just from our experience in the Oslo airport Norway is extremely expensive. we bought 3 slices of pizza 2 drinks and a sandwich while we were there and that equated to $60 USD. Breaking my budget already. And no free wifi. Booooo

Yes - Norway is extremely expensive. I live inan expensive country, but I do get suprised, then going to Norway. I am looking forward to your review of Copenhagen,

We are embarking on Sunday week, 8th June. I'm hoping that Dave Curtis is playing in the Schooner bar. I've been told he starts on 1st June. Have you heard, or can you find out if this is true or not? Thanks

Dave Curtis is amazing - could do a cruise just because of him (well could do a cruise at anytime, but he is really something special)

I was on the same cruise - we might have meet each other in the Martini Bar, which was our favorite spot. Yes - there was a lot of spring breakers, but I really found, that they behave very well, dressed up for dinner, and really liked to talked to us "older" people.

I better have 2 cruises in an inside cabin, than 1 cruise in a balcony cabin. I am only in the cabin to sleep or taking a bath. I think the size is fine.

I have been staying 4 times on deck 2 (once in a porthole cabin - I almost did not use the porthole window, as in port I thougt that people could look into my cabin). 1 time at deck 8 (promenade cabin - you have to have the curtain on, if you turn on the light, else the cabins on the other side will have a live show), and 1 time on deck 10 (inside cabin, we could hear some noice from the Windjammer, then people were dragging the chairs). I have never never had any noise problem on deck 2! I have been through a tough storm in a deck 2 midship cabin, and we did not feel much movement, while people in balcony cabins were awake most of the night, then the waves came into their balconies.

Well I have not tried a balcony cabin, maybee I will get convinced, but so far I feel fine about an inside cabin.
