  1. Sailing tomorrow, put in for my shareholder credit on May 23, received auto reply that it may not be confirmed until week before sailing. Nothing lee since then. On Monday I sent another one with the sailing date in the subject (probably should have done that the first time.)

Has anyone been denied? Or is there a chance I might see it show up while I’m on the cruise?

    Thanks.

  2. Packing cubes, a little hand washing, use the laundry service or laundry room. I’m heading out for a nine day with two days in London before with a carryon and backpack. I do check the roller bag on the way back for convenience and also because I usually come home with a bit more than I went with.

  3. Sailing on the Pride in a couple weeks and it’s been a long time since my last one. I have a few silly questions.
    1. Fun Ships beer - can I order additional during my cruise, like for the next day? Or does it all need to be preordered?

    2. AARP gift cards- I read these are now delivered as e-cards, how fast is the turnaround?

    3. How early is the breakfast buffet open? And is coffee available 24/7?
    4. What time do they open up the rooms these days?

    thanks in advance!

Thanks very much. I was going to ask the same question.  My son and I are travelling light with small backpacks on a 9 day Norway cruise so we will need to use those once or twice.

I’ll be on at the same time as you 🙂 I’m bringing a couple of the dry detergent strips, easier than dealing with liquids

  5. I haven’t cruised since 2016. My last two I had cheers and dropped a bit in the casino. Got a casino offer early March for the Pride 9 day to Norway for $100 pp deposit returned as OBC (inside) + fees and DOU in the casino, and since I’m solo I had to pay $200 deposit which will come back in OBC. Of course I have to fly to London, get a hotel there, etc etc so it’s not a bargain vacation when all is said and done.

Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I've never understood the need or desire to eat that late. Nor have I ever been hungry on a cruise. I can barely eat at each meal time, there's so much food!

    I don't think I've ever eaten after 9pm on a cruise.

The few times I have, I regretted it. I’d rather have a nice breakfast. Hard to do when your stomach is full of your midnight or 2 am snack.

This is our plan for our visit in May. Their hours, the day we are there, are noon until 18:00. Do you remember how long the bus ride was? We're hoping to explore the town, have lunch and then head to Sunnmore for a couple of hours. We are in port from 8 AM - 6 PM.

Their promo on the Visit Norway site says its 70 minutes

I received a players club offer today, for the first time ever. One of the included sailings is a 10 day Med cruise on Carnival Pride. Doing a Med cruise and visiting Italy are both bucket list items and it would be for my 40th birthday. However, we also would need to be on a tight budget. The least expensive balcony option is an obstructed view on the Upper deck. Anybody have any insight into this type of cabin on the Pride? I'm very wary of booking anything less than a balcony in case something crazy happens and we're quarantined on a ship or something....

I am feeling a little overwhelmed with even thinking about booking this trip. We've never been to Europe; I've never planned an international trip other than a Mexico cruise (doesn't really count) and a trip to an AI in Jamaica. I almost want to quit just because it seems like so much to think about.

I have until 2/28 to decide. We're already within the 90 day window so full payment would be required. If we don't do the Med cruise we may still choose one of the other options offered, but this just seems like such an incredible deal for a Europe cruise that I don't know if I'll ever see it again.

What all things should I even be thinking about? COVID protocols? I'm kind of hoping they eliminate the testing requirement to get back into the US because we are nervous about leaving our dogs in the care of a sitter and ending up testing positive and getting stuck across the world.

Anyways just wondering if anybody can offer any insight or advice or where to start....

I just booked my first ever inside going to Norway for basically free except for port fees. I already had my big trip planned for later in the year so I have to do this one on a budget and the room was the biggest way to save some $.  I’m hoping the covid protocols are lifted by then but if they’re not I’ll figure it out. It’s a great itinerary with a couple of bucket list places for me so I figured why not. I’ll just get insurance to cover everything once I get my airfare squared away and hope for the best.

We are taking the Carnival Pride cruise on June 10, 2022. I'd like to learn what are the interesting things to see and do at each port and suggestions for excursions. Since everyone is different, we can just give information here for people to easily gather. (Yes, I'm doing this for all of the ports. I thought that's easier than one thread for all of the ports, since each cruise has its own ports.)

Just booked this cruise a couple days ago and started looking at port activities, I’ll be sure to check back in on the threads. BTW I’m also from Ohio 🙂
