  1. In my opinion 2384 was the best cabin out of the three. A cove is so much better than a regular balcony. 2384 is actually above the dining room (which I have had) and it's so quiet. Your balcony on the 6th is above deck 5, which is one of the noisier decks.

  2. We've just booked this through HAL and now I am wondering about timing. HAL says it's a 8 hour excursion, though 30 minute drive from Playa Del Carmen after the ride from Cozumel. First anyone know what you do for maybe 5 or 6 hours (if calculations are close). Also someone mention eating and then going back for pics. Are there restaurants near by?

We booked with Carnival and lunch was included. They had a buffet at Rio Secreto.

  3. We did Rio Secreto in Oct. and booked through Carnival. The ship was due to set sail at 6pm and the ferry pulled in at 6, of course the ship waited for us due to booking through them. If I had booked on my own I would have worried all day and not had a relaxing fun time.

  4. Good luck with 2016... I was just there 3 weeks ago, and they have hardly started the new bridge and road that needs to be complete before they can finish the new canal... Our tour guide said the optimistic people are shooting for 2017 to be complete.... others think 2018 or 19....

We were there this past March and our guide told us the same thing. Went as far to say 2020 is a big possibility
