  1. Check the ports of call portion here. There r all kinds of things to do.

We usually go to 7 mile beach on Grand Cayman. U can take a tour to see stingray city. Or just walk around. It is very safe there. Everything is clean.

Cozemel we usually go to Paradise Beach. They have an awesome pool. $17 taxi ride each way. $3 entry fee. Coz is an great place to scuba dive. I did that in March.

U can rent scooters, do a dune buggy tour, or go to an all inclusive resort.

  2. So glad she has finally arrived. We will be on her in 1 week and can't wait.

I also can't wait for the new reports to come rolling in. Hopefully everyone will get back today, get settled in and tell us all about the trip coming back home to Baltimore. :)

I know this is not related and I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a ??

We have crossed paths b4 researching ports and I remember that u have very similar preferences to us.

We will b on Pride end of May. I know that u researched Paradise cove/ Deadmans reef in Freeport. Did u like it, or more important, would u return?

We were just in Roatan at West Bay beach, and I luv it there. We have snorkeled there 3x.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  3. We were on splendor last week. Had a great time. We r used to that layout with no passage through on decks 3&4. Liked the view of the aft pool, kinda like breeze.

We didn't care for Malcomb. He did the 1st sea day info talk, and it was broadcast on lido. Sort of annoying to lay out and hear him drone on. Likes to talk a lot. Although he was funny during the evening show.

  4. We were just on Splendor last week.

Yes chocolate buffet is lunch time on the last sea day. (not advertised in fun times.)

Mexican buffet started at 11pm. I think is was the second to last night.

Splendor still has the older Vegas style shows with a live band:)

    Also the old menus.

The casino is a smokers paradise. The staff does NOT enforce the only smoking when gamlbling policy. My only complaint of the cruise.

  5. I thought I'd chime in.

Last year in March we were on Conquest. Service was slow, after 2 nights I talked to the head waiter and bam things moved a little quicker for the remainder of the cruise. I normally wouldn't speak up, but we were the ones just getting our entre and others were having dessert.

Last June we were on Glory with American table. Wasn't impressed especially. We found things to our liking, but ordering was sometimes confusing. I think one night I almost got 2 baked potatoes. Lol

I didn't like that the nice messy ribs were on formal night.

Everyone has a different opinion. I had a difference of opinions with someone about the playlist productions and Hasbro game show too. Different strokes for different folks. Haha

  6. The Hasbro show was not an evening show when we were on the Conquest - We loved it - Our Youngest daughter, 8 at the time, won the grand prize of several travel games and $150 gift card - I'll take that junk any day! ;)

Everyone has their own likes. We don't enjoy those shows for evening entertainment. The new playlist productions lack a little quality compared to having a live band.

The main showroom tells the tail. It use to be full and now u can walk in late and still get a seat. More people go to the comedy shows now.

  7. I'm following this too. We will b on Pride the week b4 u. Your room key is also your slot card. U do need to set up a pi. #. $ is loaded on your card when u cash out. Casino is 18 and over. I have some of the best luck on the oldest crappy looking machines. Lol seems like the bright fancy ones eat up your $$. They have a skills game in most Carnival casinos that our kids like. U can win an iPod, iPad or cash.

  8. We have gone to West bay 2x. 1st ar Bananarama, 2nd at the Beach Club next door to Bananarama. Beach club was nicer. Maybe a 2 min walk to Infinity where the snorkel opening in the coral gives u access.

Beach is only moderately busy. A few trinket peddlers. A simple no thanks works. One of my fav places. Will b there in three weeks.:)

  9. I have read several of your posts. Great job BTW. All three ships are very similar. Glory has the american table menu and that offers fewer dinner choices.

    Grand Turk is small

Very pretty. Close beach area. Decent snorkeling.

St Kitts is the closest thing in the Caribbean to Hawaii that I have seen

    With a volcanic look

    Very nice island.

We haven't been to Aruca or Bonaire yet. I hear they are very nice also.

We have been on.all these ships. I would pick Conquest.

  10. We had the bad experience with them. We got right off the ship early, but had to wait on more people. They made us wait about 30 min. There were 7 of us in the van already. Finally another family arrived. The lady commented that they took their time bc "they didn't want to have to wait on anyone else."

As a result, we were rushed all day. Our included lunch was eaten on our laps as we were in the van bouncing down the road on our way back to the ship. Normally u have 30 min to eat at their property. (wonder where that time went)??

The driver was in contact with others to confirm that there were ships tours behind us on our way back to port and that we would be fine.

We made the second to last tender back.

  11. We have used Bodden 3x. Sometimes the driver will eat or have a drink sometimes they will not(I always offer).

I usually give them $20 for our family.

We typically go to West Bay beach. The driver sits with our stuff while we snorkel. We also have ziplined 2x with Bodden. They have several Monkeys and birds to interact with at their farm. The driver will take u wherever u want on the private tour. Its worth the extra $$ to go where U want and when U want.

As for food, we have only been to Bananarama for pizza and The beach club. Both were good but we didn't order anything fancy. Beach club is not as busy as Bananarama.

  12. My DW has won a couple of times playing on the casino $$, maybe $700-$800. It sure is fun to walk up to the cage and have them give u cash to start out with. I always burn through the free $$. LOL. I save my winning until the end. Although not as lucky as DW.

I have found that some of the crappy, old, dumb looking slots r good to play. The bright flashy ones seem to eat up my $$.

This year we were on Conquest for a premiere casino cruise and then on Glory for a freebie from the premiere trip. We both had over 5000 pts so we had free drinks the entire trip:D

The premiere cruise r so awesome. We turned down that Ultra premiere trip bc we just can't do a 3rd cruise this yr. Going to Vegas soon instead.

    Can't wait!! WOOT WOOT :D

Have a great cruise. Let us know what wins for u. We will b on Splendor in March.
