Hi Joan--just saw your post---we are flying home to Halifax via United at 2:40 pm. Don't know if this would work for you?
Hi, Doreen: (the one getting off in Aruba)
It seems like our posts are appearing on both threads.
I would like to share the transfer with you and your husband.
If you would like you could email me at casinojoanm at aol dot com
I had been in touch with a transfer company and could do some more checking.
If you send me an email we can communicate and discuss the arrangements.
Thank you,
JOAN

HI, Doreen:
I would like to share transfer to the airport in Aruba.
Your flight time would work fine for me. My flight is at 3:45 PM.
I posted on the other thread for sharing the transfer.
I am traveling with a travel mobility scooter. I am mobil but it is helpful to me in the ports because of my bad back (pain).
I had communicated with a company for a private mini van transfer.
I think they quoted something like $50.00, picking us up at the ship, with a name sign. No wating in line for taxis, etc.
If you are interested and possibly any others, sharing the cost would would work out well.
Please let me know if interested and I will get more info on cost.
Also, interested in joining a meet up on board.
Looking forward to a GREAT adventure, in just about a month. WOOHOO!!!!!

HI, all. Time is getting close.
Is anyone getting off in Aruba and flying home on Sept. 30?
I would like to share transportation from Aruba cruise terminal to the airport.
My flight is at 3:45 PM so I would be flexible with departure time.

A great flight to Toronto on Oct. 1st,
I am still looking for a place in town, and you ???
I found a privately owned, apartment on Booking.com.
The price is very reasonable (cheap), and reviews are very good. It's near the airport. The owner agreed to pick me up at the cruise port and take me to the airport, which will be a big help to me.
I'm traveling with a mobility scooter(I am Mobil) but it is helpful to me for walking far distances because of back pain.
If I would stay someplace else getting transportation from ship to hotel and hotel to ship might be a problem with my scooter.
Let me know what hotel you find.
If it works for me, possibly I might change.
Look forward to meeting you on the Monarch.

Yes, on flying out of Aruba to Toronto, good connection, and good price, Oct. 1, one night stay in Aruba, airport is 10 minutes from port area.
Doing 20 days out of Rostock, Germany
Hope to meet you on board.
Where are you staying in Aruba?
I'm planning to fly out of Aruba on Oct. 1, too.

As single...
Is it better to book with Pullmantur directly?
Or with Vacations to Go?
Also... Can I leave Sept cruise early (Aruba?) or arrive late (Lisbon?)... might be easier for flights...
Appreciate any sage advice anyone can share.
Bob
HI, Bob:
I booked with Vacations To Go, agent Diego. He was very helpful and nice to deal with.
I couldn't, figure out Pulmantur's website and think I did fine with VTG.
I'm planning to get off in Aruba and my travel agent said no problem.
I was able to find flights to Bilbao, with FF miles on either United and AA.
Although I'm flying on AA, United had better availability.
I think if you fly into Lisbon it would not be a problem boarding there.
Just notify the agent when you book so that Pulmanturs knows, otherwise it might be a problem.
Good luck in working out your plans and hope you will book the cruise.

Hi JoanI leave on the 15th from Myrtle Beach, SC fly to Phila. depart Phila at 6:50pm on American Airlines flight 740 to Madrid change planes and on to Bilboa arriving in Bilboa the 16th at 12:50 in a perfect world.
I have booked a hotel in Santurce which is close to the port.
How I am getting to Santurce is still being worked on but if all else fails I will take a taxi from the airport.
Hopefully you can arrange everything since I think this will be a interesting cruise.
have a good day

HI, Pat:
I booked and am looking forward to meeting you and everyone, for a GREAT cruise.
I booked my air with United, from Philly, connecting in Frankfort (Lufthansa). Arriving in Bilboa, Sept. 16, 1:30 PM, in a perfect world.
Would rather have booked on AA as I have a lot more miles with them,
but my best option with them was on Sep 14, arriving on the 15.
Still have to book a hotel.
I'm thinking since we will be arriving close to the same time, possibly, we could share transportation arrangements and/or hotel.
If you would like to communicate by emal, my address is casinojoanm at aol dot com
Have a good day, too.

Hi Joan
I am actually booked on American Airlines thru "Philly" on my way to Bilboa.
Hope you do decide on this cruise it should be fun.

HI, Pat:
I have the cruise on hold.
I'm checking on flights and the best AA option, using miles, is from Philly on Sept 14. Connecting in LHR, arrriving after 6:00 PM on the 15.
Where do you live and what are your flights?
I'm checking on hotels and transfers, airport to hotel, hotel to port.
Lots of planning to do.
I have a mobility scooter so I have to have arrangements to accommodate the scooter.
I am mobil, but because of my back problem (pain) the scooter is helpful to me at the airports and cruise ports. Don't usually need on the ship.
I'm waiting to hear from Pulmanturs, if the cabin doorway is wide enough for the scooter.
If so, I'll probably book.
The cruise does sound nice and price is, certainly right.
I like Trans/Atlantics and have done a lot of them, mostly on RCCL and Celebrity.
Will let you know if I book.

Hi, all. I have been researching this cruise, attracted by the fantastic singles price.
Glad I just happened to stumble on this CC thread.
It's giving me the encouragement to book it.
Seeing that there are other English speaking and Americans as well as solo travelers makes me feel more comfortable.
Also, the info posted on air, transfers and pre/post info is very helpful.
Will, probably book after a bit more research.
It might be possible to have Pulmantur link dining reservations, for those who would like to be seated together in the MDR, early seating.
RCCL and Celebrity have done this, in the past.

HI, teabear:
We may be staying at the Holiday Inn Express, also. Will know for sure in a day or two.
If we stay there I will be arranging a mini van transfer to the port.
We are 2 and I am traveling with a mobility scooter so will need a mini van.
The mini van could hold up to 4 people so if you and the other person staying at Holiday Inn Express would want to share the cost would, probably be less than 1 or 2 people in a taxi.
I will post when I have definite arrangements.
If you want you could email me at casinojoanm at aol dot com
Look forward to meeting you soon,
JOAN
