Thanks for the reply. It’s not an aft balcony, just a regular one. Just hoping there’s room for the 3 of us to squeeze in and have a drink. My best friend and I are sharing the balcony room and I booked my sister a studio. We’ll be out and about a lot but I’m sure there will be times we want to sit on the deck and fish, smoke a bowl, or do other naughty things. Just kidding. No weed or poles are coming with us.

Sailing on Bliss thru Panama Canal soon. I checked with NCL and the size of our balcony is 42 sq Ft. Does anyone know if 3 chairs will fit? There are 2 of us, but my sister is in a studio cabin. Hoping we can squeeze her in on the balcony for sail away and transiting the canal. Thank in advance

I ve been told most bus drivers and. guides love US currency
Yes. It probably goes without saying but no coins. Not even a bucket of silver dollars. And no currency from their neighboring countries. But they love US bills, even of the $2 variety

That was really a very, very bad idea. Scenario: if the flight you just changed her to happens to get cancelled NCL no longer has any responsibility to get you rebooked to possibly another airline. Could cause her mucho problems. Others reading this: DO NOT TAKE HIS/HER ADVICE!!!!!!!
Well I understand what you’re saying but I think my point is that the way NCL “purchased” this fare from Delta they got the regular fare, not the basic fare. Which means when I opened her reservation it put me in charge of it just like any ticket you purchased yourself. Whatever rules that apply to that fare applies to you. She can go back in and change it again, upgrade, or whatever. But I totally see your point about losing assistance from NCL. I didn’t think of that, and I should have as a 35 yr retired airline employee. If I had done this for her flight to Mia (getting to the cruise) i would be worried, but this is for her flight home. And that new flight is over 24 hours after we arrive in San Pedro. So thank you Funky Fusion FoodsJ. And I agree DO NOT TAKE MY ADVICE. But at least read the comment through.

I went into my sisters air reservation that NCL arranged on Delta and I was able to change the flight to a day later. So for those of you that have airfare included but would like to change to a different day, don’t call NCL. Just go into the airline’s site and try it yourself. Hope this is helpful to some.

I’ve heard they serve good pho at the buffet. Anyone know if it’s on offer daily? And what times of day? Also, wondering if they ever have Vietnamese baguette sandwiches. Or if it ever appears on main dining menu. Thanks for any information.

Thanks all. I’m retired and she’s still working so this takes some stress off. See some of you in Miami.

I’m treating my sister to a cruise and we live in different parts of the country. She doesn’t have easy access to a computer or printer. She does everything on her phone. So when our 21day check-in arrives this Saturday would it be feasible for me to check-in for her while I have her on the phone? I know she needs a photo, but can she take it and send it to me? We’re meeting in Miami the day before the cruise so I can attach her bag tags then. Any other things I should consider or be aware of. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Being allowed to bring wine on without a corkage fee if you have the UBP is pretty new, hard liquor will be taken and returned to you the last night. This thread is the first time I’ve heard that they allow beer and wine to be brought onboard, this was never allowed before even with a fee.
Thinking about it. They probably make more profit by pouring less wine because you’re drinking your own. I’m trying to decide now whether to bother with going to Trader Joe’s in Miami Beach. Treating myself to a glass of $22 wine for $7 plus tax tip, and maybe buy a bottle or two at the 20% off. Decisions, Decisions. I hope they have some decent craft beers. A few on the list I’ve seen look interesting.

I can see the option of booking Port Valet on my App but can’t find how it works. Is this the service where you put your checked luggage in front of your room and don’t see it till you arrive your home airport. We would like to take the excursion to see parts of LA and then arrive LAX for evening flight but it seems to be booked. Thanks.

I know you can make reservations on the kiosk for specialty restaurants after you board, but can you cancel them on the kiosk as well?

If a port shows 2 pm departure what time is it required to be back on board? I’m assuming it’s an hour before posted sailing time. I’ve always taken ship’s excursions but in Cartegena would like to just taxi/Uber to Old Town. The sailing time is 2 pm.

Only saved $75 round trip by using the air program, but very satisfied with the details. Leaving New Orleans at 1 pm and arrive Miami at 4pm, the day before the cruise on southwest. Leaving Los Angeles at 6 pm arriving New Orleans at midnight on Delta. Couldn’t have found better flights myself.

We’re a party of 3 staying the night before in south beach. Assuming we’ll use an Uber to go to the port. Are there drawbacks to that or better options? Need to reserve in advance? Thanks for advice

Might be a good idea, but my experience traveling internationally for work is that tipped employees hate coins for tips because you can’t cash them in

You think a $2 bill is the best attention-seeking tipping move? No way!
I prefer to dole out my tips out in $1 Sacagawea dollar coins of my favorite Presidents… both educational, and as frequently confusing to Western Union tellers when the crew tries to cash in tip money to wire it home! Will it work in a vending machine? Who cares, it’s just fun to give out!

Brightline train line goes from FLL to MIA. Have a look at their website. I think it’s about $25 and runs at least hourly. Could be convenient depending on where your hotel in Miami is located. Curious what airline they have you on. My sister flies in on 2/24 for cruise on 2/25. I’ll already be in Miami Beach so I rented a car for one day to pick her up and then drop off the car at port the next day.
