I’m getting crazy $20 offers. Wife isn’t ready to cruise yet but I am. If I book her but she doesn’t show am I just out her $20?
I got a $0 offer for a 4 day cruise on Valor and booked without my DH - he's too busy getting his hothouse up and running for garden season. I did have to pay the "taxes, fees and port expenses" plus pre-paid gratuities but only for 1 person. So for $139.82 I get someone else to cook and clean for me and I get to read a book, go to shows, sit by the pool, eat whenever. I'm Good!!
I'm sure you'd pay the "Single Supplement" - so $40. But you'd still only pay the fees and gratuities for one person.

You pay for 2 whether you are 1 or 4. I am a solo as well, and it's the bid x2.
Thank You for the quick response! Much appreciated!!

Seems to me that I have read about a LOT of casino cruise peeps winning RU's
Slightly off-topic as I don't have a comped cruise but I did receive a Royal Up offer. BUT I'm cruising solo and the RU offer seems to say I'd have to pay the price for 2. So (the minimum) $60 for a Jr. Suite would be $120. Maybe I should call to clarify. Anyone have any experience with this?

Right you are (had to look this up as well - never knew it was to this degree). One-armed bandits indeed!
Must be true. I never got a casino offer when I played Blackjack. Since I started playing the slot machines with my $25 Platinum benefit, I've been getting Free and $25 cruise offers.

Can someone confirm which terminal in Galveston Vista uses? I know terminal 1 is usually Carnival but I thought I saw a post that Vista uses terminal 2..I have searched and can't find it anywhere.
We cruised on Breeze out of Galveston in August. We embarked at Terminal 2 and disembarked at Terminal 1. Maybe depends on which other ships are in port that day? They're very close. Both were easy walking distance to the Port of Galveston Parking garage

On Freedom a few weeks ago I went to the cage and they asked if I wanted it loaded onto card, or cash. I took the cash.
It must differ ship to ship. On the Breeze in August they loaded it to my card. On the Valor in November and January they handed me cash. Both happened at the cage. If I wanted it loaded to my S&S card, I had to go to Guest Services.

I wouldn't bet on it ever coming back, honestly. Even though it's a perk that doesn't really cost them anything to provide, it's gone I'm sure.
My only recourse was take my husband with his cane along. They bumped us to the front of the line 🤣🤣

One benefit that is happening now is that platinums can check in online for their cruise two days earlier (16 days out) than the general passengers. This gives them the opportunity to select an early appointment time. I checked in just after midnight eastern time 16 days out and got 10:00 to 10:30 appointment time and boarding zone A02 on the Mardi Gras cruise this month.
I'm seeing 15 days out. Trying to check-in at 16 days and apparently need to wait until midnight 2/15 (15 days) to check in for 3/03.

Unless I just missed something, this occurred without fanfare. The Carnival website now says smoking is allowed in the casino. Previously, smoking was banned completely. I am sure many smokers are happy. Personally, I was looking forward to being able to breathe in the casino and my hair and clothes not smelling like smoke!
DARN! Was sooo nice to be able to breathe and not stink afterwards!

She is very careful about her food choices. She did not step out of her box so to speak.
McDonald's food (cheeseburgers, fries, biscuits) and Walmart brand "American cheese-food" slices really mess with my son. Turns out McDonald's fries with Canola oil and who knows what's in Walmart cheese, but they both send him running for the bathroom. In researching reactions to Canola oil, it turns out there's a chemical in Canola (originally called rapeseed) that can have an effect on some people. He's also lactose intolerant and can have that same reaction if eating too much cheese or drinking milk with out the Lactaid pill. Might be something for your wife to look into. Hope this helps.

$25 free play in casino, just go to cashier and Show your card.
On the Breeze in August $25 was added to my S & S card. On the Valor both in November and January, the Casino lady handed me $25 cash.
And I like a not-too-spicy Bloody Mary

Considering UDP for my Odyssey cruise in April. But since I'm going solo, I thought maybe the Chef's Table would be more fun since it's a group experience. I'm curious to hear if any of you has participated and would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this option. Thanks! Ann

Here's hoping Carnival stays loyal to Mobile. The nicest, easiest, most friendly port to sail out of!

Not to be confused with "beef on 'weck". I'll be on Odyssey 4/17. Looking forward to finding out if it's true Buffalo Beef on Kimmelweck. It's all in the salted, caraway seeded bun... and the thin sliced beef and drippings. YUM! Can't wait. Thank you for the heads up Twangster.

Every L cabin we have had has had no sofa. The hallway that leads into the cabin is a bit longer than a regular balcony cabin leaving me to believe the cabins are a bit smaller as they must add the square footage of the hallway into the cabin measurement. However, having that great balcony surely makes up for not having a sofa imho.
Totally agree!

We stayed in #7454 on the Breeze in August. Loved it and didn't pay any extra. It was a Great cabin, and the location was convenient to the MDR and the Lido buffet. A bit of a walk to the theater and the Serenity Deck. But with the big balcony and lounge chair, we didn't need the Serenity deck. We didn't notice any noise from the adjacent crew staircase. Highly recommend.

I suggest you reframe the issue with them. Just make it a polite demand that they post a missing sailing. Keep at it until they do. Do not mention status at all and if they keep bringing it up make it clear your request has nothing to do with status you just want them to correct their error of not posting your trip
Then when you get that posted the rest should resolve either automatically or with follow up.
Good advice. Thank you! I'll do that.
Carnival Now Requires Gratuities to be Prepaid With Good To Go Promo
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just got off a Valor cruise booked with the Good to GO rate with pre-paid gratuities. Was surprised to find on the third day that Gratuities had been added to my Account. I went to the Customer Service Desk and explained that I had already pre-paid them at the time I booked the cruise about 4 weeks before. He could not see on my account that the gratuities had been pre-paid, but was very gracious while removing them from my account.
Just be aware and check your onboard account periodically.
