I have an account and a cruise booked .i called voyager club nice girl added my number to our booking on my details but still cannot see point balance when I click on voyager club in left side and enter number it says number does not match records.
If you have a zero at the beginning of your booking number you need to drop it i had same problem mine was 0359******* on email, but worked without the zero

I think refering to people that chose to cruise in other levels rather than YC as cattle class is very derogatory. We would have booked YC if available but to be honest by the sounds of it im glad we didn't waste our money.

We are also on Preziosa in September , 2nd to be precise, will be our second time on her . We had a lovely time on her last September that is why we booked again. The food in the MDR can be hit or miss but on the whole we enjoy it and like you say it is nice to have a change of cruiseline . We got the Premium drinks package included in our booking , for a similar cruise with RCI they wanted at least £500 per person more !!
The comment about the buffet being like McDonalds is far from the truth , there is such a variety and cater for all, vegetarian, ethnic corner with stir fries etc. , fresh carved meat every day and the pizza OMG , the best . Yes it does get busy but it is huge and often people don’t go to the back where it is much quieter and easier to get a seat. Timing is important too.
Yes were on the 2nd September yes we looked at anthem 14 night with rci but would have been nearly £1000 more pp for that even with our D+ discount.
We got arura experience but got our ta to through in premium drinks pkg upgrade for free so we paid £1600 pp which i thought was a good deal.
Im sure we will find some food edible lol
But as long as drinks are flowing im not to worried.

Were booked on her in September but arura experience will be our first with MSC going with an open mind but looking forward to trying a new cruise line.

Recently returned from our second Preziosa 14 night cruise out of Barbados. What a difference from the first cruise just 11 months ago, extremely disappointed. MSC has degraded a previously successful product, no longer can anyone call it a quality product or value for money. The YC restaurant, Palmeraie served food that was frequently inedible the the MaitreD failed to address serious deficiencies.
So why was the food inedible and what was so wrong throughout the restbof the ship could you explain in a bit more detail.
Surely if it was so bad there are other dining options or was all food inedible on the whole ship on a plus side you didnt put on any weight.

Lol if you was seated at my table with a baby you would soon be on your own

Another "Worst Cruise Line" title is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1WXgNyysiA&t=990s
What makes me cross however, is that the poster ( that considers himself an expert) is taking the garbage survey as a real thing instead of telling his subscribers: "Hey, there is another garbage survey out there. Watch your steps! Don't take it seriously. Just smile!"
I have taken the time to go to the original source and see how they cook their ratings.
It wasn't professional. But many resources have already quoted that nonsense...
Happy cruising!
What a ridiculous comparison Viking to MSC its a completely different experience, price point ,and demographic. Utter garbage.

I would agree. I am in the minority, but I think Royal's food quality has really tanked. On the big ships there is Central Park which always provides something healthy, tasty, and fresh, but the MDR was yuck on 3 of 7 nights last year. IMO, where Royal excels is it's ship designs and what the ship offers for multi-generational cruisers. The bells and whistles aren't needed on a port intensive sailing. Have a wonderful cruise.
Wouldnt say we have had a terrible meal in mdr but just noticed the decline and certainly in the little extras you used to get but i guess thats the way they survive the ever growing competition that wasn't there 10 or so years ago

That would be my pick also. $2,000 gives you plenty of money for awesome excursions. Plus you get to visit new ports. There is nothing about Divina that will prevent you from having an amazing vacation!
Preziosa we are booked on but were happy with the deal plus we got the status match to their Black/Diamond level so we also get the free Butchers Cut dinning experience looking forward to trying something new and to be honest i think Royals dinning and overall experience has dropped over the years certainly since we first started cruising with them.

How much cheaper is the MCS cruise?
Can you post the itineraries of both?
Generally speaking, MSC is a budget line, BUT they do things differently in Europe than the US. I have always thought that taking MSC in the Mediterranean would be a more authentic experience, however I would only select MSC if they were significantly cheaper than the competition.
So 14 nights on Anthem med cruise in September balcony with drinks packaged was about £2780 pp with D+ discounts
14 nights europe cruise on MSC Preziosa Arura Balcony with upgraded premium drinks €50 obc each was £1695 pp
Brest France
Sea
Lisbon
Cadiz
Malaga
Sea
La coruna
Sea
Rotterdam over night
Hamburg
Sea
Le Harve
Southampton
Anthem was like a med beaches itin.
So with £1000 pp difference we thought we would give it a go plus there were a few ports we had never been to and we have done med last 3 years so nothing new for us.

Is laundry a deal breaker??
I have done 18 rci cruises bit this year our first MSC the difference is about £1200 each on a 14 night cruise thats with premium drinks pkg.
So im not expecting the royal experience by any shot if thats what u want stick with rci you get what yp6u pay for.

We found them nothing but helpful done ours online was matched to gold from rci diamond plus which I was a little disappointed with so sent them a nice email with a bit of bs added and was upgraded to Black/Diamond.

Yes we got our 5% + 5% because it was a select voyage and €50 obc each
-
Apparently if your not a Black/Diamond card holder ypu have to purchsse toilet rolls from reception at €10😀😀😀
-
I think you will find it is house red or white not sure if they have a house rose and house brand shorts.
So if your not fussy about premium brands you should be fine.
We have just booked our first with MSC
But talked our travel agent into upgrading our easy package to a premium package.

It all depends what ship you are looking at. Some MSC ships do not have the Yacht Club. With MSC you get what you pay for. The Fantastica experience is a good value for what you pay. Don’t expect it to be like RCI...it is different...more European.
The Yacht Club blows everything away...better than RCI...better than the other MCI experiences. What ship are you looking at?
Preziosa have seen some awful reviews but most only post to moan so take it with a pinch of salt we have got gold on the switch we will give it a go see what happens cant be any worse than carnival surley

The Yacht Club is a separate part of the ship. It is a private enclave on the top decks forward and it is an experience as well. You have Bella, Fantastica, Aurea and Yacht Club experiences on most MSC ships.Ah thanks thought so just couldn't see the option on the cruise we were looking at apparently all sold out so not an issue know.
Think we will book a fantastica balcony and see what msc is all about.
We only done RCI previously D+ so could be an eye opener.

Having never cruised with MSC before could someone please explain yatch club to me. Is this something you pre purchase to use the facilities or is it a type of cabin experience like bella etc. And what benefits do you get.
Thanks
