Once you get the wristbands, how far of a walk is it to the waterpark area?  Also do you remember taxi rates back to the port?

Not far.  To get through the resort to get to the wristband area was a bit of a hike. But after getting wristbands, we just walked through the dig aquarium area, and then we came out at pool/Aquapark area.

Taxi rates were $5 per person.

  2. Wanted to follow up and let everyone know things went smoothly when we went this past week.  Arrived around 10.  Check in and out took about 30 minutes as there was a large group ahead of us.  But they had no issues giving us vouchers right away. Walk to Atlantis took about 5 minutes.  Wristband process at Atlantis was pretty quick (except same large group still in front of us 🤣).  Out to pools and slides by 11.  We had 5 full hours to enjoy the waterpark, beaches, and pools.  Kids absolutely loved it.  Our family of 4 would have been ~$600 for day passes, but with the hack we paid $200. Very pleased.

No trouble at all. There was another family doing the pre-checkin at the same time. Literally checked in and out at the same time, got the passes and walked to Atlantis.

Thank you!  How was the walk?  Where do you go when you arrive?  Any advice overall? (Doing this same thing in a few days.)

For anyone still doubting, this worked great for us last week. Real easy to get a taxi to the hotel, do the pre-checkin and check out at the same time. Quick walk to the Atlantis for wristbands and then enjoying the water park.

One word of caution, some of the rides were malfunctioning during our visit and had to be closed for short periods. They all reopened, but there was uncertainty about how long the repair would take and customer service was minimal.

Did you have any trouble with getting the vouchers from Comfort Suites when you arrived (instead of having to wait until 3 pm like some have been saying they were told)?

Hi, I will not be staying at the hotel, I would check-in and check out right away. I will not be using you facilities, I would like to come for 8-9am to get the vouchers and we will spend the day at Atlantis. The room can be rented to other clients if you'd like.

I was wondering from people that have booked using points lately, what they have had to pay for taxes and resort fees?

I booked with points and confirmation said that we’d be responsible for another $45 per person in taxes and fees upon arrival.

I have written to them and they have confirmed to me in writing that that we can go there as early 8am for a pre check-in and get the vouchers but cannot guarantee that we get keys to room before 3pm.

Would you mind terribly to forward that email to me so I can have it too in case they give me any trouble?  I would really really appreciate it.  My email is krdague@yahoo.com

I am looking into this "hack" for March. I know we won't have enough points so looking to just book with money. The room fee is $413 which is good for the 4 of us but then there's also the 21% (!) tax + the $178 Hotel Service Fee which brings the total to $678 making it a little better than getting it through cruise line/Atlantis website but not half the price I've seen people post about. What am I missing?

You can buy additional points.  This was considerably cheaper for us than the actual hotel rate.

So a little update, I spoke to someone from CS Bahamas and they said they might not release the vouchers before checkin time at 3pm...

About the vouchers they said you can still book at CS but not the day of your travel to get the vouchers

Correct, you can still get passes but cannot book the hotel that morning and still get them. I was told on the phone to book at least 48 hours in advance.

As far as the voucher time, that’s what I’m hoping to find out as I’ve gotten some conflicting info.  So hoping to find someone who has been recently so I can get feedback.

Well that was quick I rechecked my Expedia and got a mesage from CS please see below. I was happy that I did not have to sleep there as I have horrible experience when I booked one in Florida, I just wanted the hack for Atlantis. Oh well.

I’m confused…why can you not use hack?

Last July (2023) we were booked at Comfort Suites like we had done 7 times before.   I read somewhere that Atlantas was no longer allowing CS guests to use their pools.  I called both Comfort Suites and Atlantas and was told that they no longer accept Comfort Suites Guests at the Atlantas pools.   I emailed them their comfirmation that said it was allowed.....but it didn't matter.   Even after talking to higher ups....they said we could use the pools at Comfort Suites only.   UGH.   So we cancelled.  When we went in July we asked again and were told they do not allow reciprocity between the two.  Be very careful booking CS.

Hmmm…that’s strange, because they still promote it heavily on their website.  I also called and emailed and they said they still offer it.  Plus, I know another person here on CC did it in September 2023, so that would have been after they told you no.

You check in the morning of your reservation, you can a

so check out at the same time if you wish. We didn’t, so my husband trekked back to check out.

How long ago did you do this?  Did they give you the vouchers upon arrival or did they make you wait until the official check in time at 3?

Atlantis day passes are running $199 pp, so I was thinking of doing this “hack” for my friend and I on our upcoming cruise. It looks like a room at the Comfort Inn is only 10k Choice points, which I can buy for $75 since they’re running a points sale currently. So…what am I missing here? I understand there are extra fees to pay at the hotel, but this still seems to good to be true….

Did you wind up doing this? Did you have success?

  14. I did my first MSC sailing in May 2023.  At that time, I tried to do the status match, but never heard anything back, so I let it go.  Now I have booked my second MSC cruise.  I should have a Voyagers Club number from my first sailing, but I can’t find it anywhere.  I tried “sign up for Voyagers club” and it said my email was already in use, so I know I should have one.  But I have checked email, website, app, and I cannot find it anywhere.  Is there anywhere to find this number so I can apply it to my new booking?  Trying to avoid calling if possible.

  15. Hoping someone can help me by getting the height requirements for the Formula One racing simulator and Run the River raft simulator.  We learned on our last Meriviglia cruise that the ones listed on MSC’s website are NOT accurate.  The website listed the Formula One racer as having a 3’6” height requirement, so I pre-purchased the Fun Pass and then my daughter (either 4’4” or 4’5” at the time) was too short to ride, leading to lots of disappointment.  I wish I had thought to take a photo of what the height actually was, but I didn’t.  And I can’t find anything on Run the River.  Looking to know height requirement and if it is included on Fun Pass. Don’t want to pre-purchase the pass again and have a repeat.  So if anyone wouldn’t mind to check, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
