In 27 Carnival cruises (including 4 on the Spirit), I have never ever encountered a situation at a made-to-order food place when they wouldn't accommodate reasonable requests like that.

You must have run into a really anal retentive crewmember.

Agree.  I got a made to order one on the Spirit!

    Hello,

My husband is a big salty snacker, with potato chips being his favourite. Is there anywhere we can get them on board?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

You can buy Pringles on board and I wasn't too shocked at the price.  Best chips we've ever had lol.  We were craving something salty and usually bring them but didn't this time.  We used to order pretzels and chips from room service and they would bring a big plate full of both of them!

I am 5'6 and when my kid was sick on a cruise and wanted to sleep in my lower berth, I had to climb into his pullman bed. That was painful. I am not a fit person.

So, while the kid loves pullman beds for now (he is 5'5 now, but will soon be 6'+, so we'll see about that), I prefer sofas for the ease of getting into.

That makes sense.  I just don't want the sofa not being able to be used, so the pullman will eliminate that problem.  He's young and in shape so I feel he'll be fine lol.  With three people we want to be able to use as much cabin space as possible.

  4. We are going on the Celebration and have 3 people in a room.  We have a choice of a room with a pullman (which I wanted because of space) and a sofa that turns into a bed.  We are staying in the Havana area (again, for extra space outside).  Is the pullman comfortable enough?  A 29 year old will be in it if that makes a difference.  No brainer for an older person like myself lol.

Yes, we had 3 people in a Havana Cabana and 2 more family members in an inside cabin across the hall.  It was perfect - more than enough room for all 5 of us to hang on the patio (and deck chairs just in front of our patio).  It was so calm, quiet, and relaxing - we rarely saw anyone else (on a sold out spring break cruise).

If they weren't so much more expensive than a regular balcony, I'd book a Havana Cabana every time!

Same!  be$t and quiete$t room we've ever had!!  Got a good deal on the first one but this one is a LOT higher.

In our case, our daughter slept on the couch.  If I remember correctly, the couch was by the balcony door and there was no pullman option.

I was looking on the site and there seem to be different set ups for different rooms.  These are the two rooms available and I chose 8276.  Would love to talk to someone that has stayed in that particular cabin.  There are very few cabins in the Havana area that sleep more than two.  Most likely because children aren't allowed.

8276       Havana Cabana (HE)            205/82 = 287  square feet                  (my cabin)
Beds: two twin beds (convert to king)-one upper

8260       Havana Cabana (HE)            205/82 = 287  square feet                  (other available cabin)
Beds: two twin beds (convert to king)-single sofa bed

I was wondering if the extra bed was a pullman or couch.  I read that one room was a pullman an the other was a couch so hopefully we got the pullman.  It is literally the quietest rooms we have ever had on 21 cruises!  Love it but it's so $$$$$$.

  8. Thanks answering questions!  We are leaving August 4th and got an aft balcony so we could see the sights.  We have never wanted to get an aft because we felt it was probably a little rougher back there but I feel it will be worth it.  You said “bumpy” in your description.  Are the waters a lot rougher than the warm cruises?  Just wanting to prepare.  Also, are you able to see a lot of wildlife on a balcony?  We have two excursions booked so far but are hoping to see things from our balcony as well.

    Thank you :)!

Try booking at the CVS closest to your home. You can also do a proctored test...we like and have used the eMed Binix test from Abbott...couldn't have been easier using our laptop.

What type do you ask for if booking at your home CVS?  I intend to do this but want to make sure we have the correct one.

I've only done Seattle.  Transportation to and from the airport is easy and hotel options near the port are good.  Also, SeaTac has a lot of flight options.  If I wanted to see Vancouver, I would just stay an extra day or two and drive there.

Could you tell me who you used to get to hotels near the port?  I am just starting to look for a place and haven’t figured transportation out yet.  Or a hotel for that matter :).  Thanks!
