  1. Hi!  Yes, following and enjoying your review.  We were at the sail-away from Aruba on the helipad too but don’t. remember seeing you.  I’ll have to check our photos.  A lot of people!

Hubby likes to take lots of pictures too, but we didn’t take many of the ship this time.

I love your photos from Passions. Curious to know if you would go to the Barcelona again?  We did a ship’s excursion in the morning, came back for lunch and went to the beach in the afternoon.  We had walked through the port area the night before and were disappointed to hear that many shops were leaving the port area to be closer to the resorts.

We are looking forward to getting out tomorrow after our 14 day self-isolation.  Apart from going for walks, we have not been out.

Glad you arrived home safely and have decided to self quarantine.  It was a pleasure to meet you once again. I layed low much of the cruise.  I definitely didn't get my monies worth out of the Drink package, but that's OK.  With a limited appetite, I just didn't feel like my usual Irish Coffee each afternoon.  I never even got my free Gelato.  So far I'm loving your photo story especially since I didn't get off the ship in many places.  You went the southern route in Bonaire from the picture of the wind sails at Sorobon.  We did the Northern and it was bumpy and boring.  Only local focal point was the 1000 steps, which I certainly had no intention of walking.  Rincon was a disappointment as just a church and local houses.

With this virus, I sure hope I get to go to my GI doctors appointment. The family has had 2 calls today rescheduling appointments.  Keep up the good work.

Maybe our paths will cross someday on another cruise.

I hope you feel better soon.  We did meet at the CC party but I dint think we saw each other again through the entire cruise.

  3. Hi!  We are sailing on Reflection in March and I’m wondering if the Classic Drink Package includes either a sparkling wine or Prosecco.

On our Panama Canal Cruise in Sept 2018, there was one (can’t remember which).  Is this still the case?

I’d like to know if I need to upgrade to Premium.

    Thank you.

  4. Good morning! I've heard back from MSC on the Venchi gelato/coffee and black card dining.

    From the line's PR team:

Venchi gelato is included in the beverage packages. Venchi coffee, up to a value of $7.50, is included in the classic drink package. The premium package includes all Venchi coffee drinks. Retails items are not included in the beverage packages.

Black card members are entitled to a complimentary specialty restaurant “Tasting Menu” dinner for 2 once during the cruise (beverages excluded). Offer is per stateroom. The tasting menus we refer to are the same as the dining experience menus. Guests can choose from any restaurant on board.

    Retail items? Please explain.

    Thank you.

  5. We've sailed RCCL and Celebrity and don't have as many sailings under our belts like so many here but we love Celebrity and had a very bad experience on the other and will never sail her again. Problems happen on every ship but its the way you treat your customers that make a huge difference.

We are looking forward to trying MSC in March and have booked Aurea because it was in our price range. We decided to try something new because the Celebrity itineraries in the Carribean are limited.

  6. We sailed the Constellation in Nov 2012 and Feb 2013 - in the concierge cabin there was a hair dryer in the bathroom and in the vanity/desk. In the balcony cabin, the hair dryer was only in the bathroom....so I brought my own knowing this.

Thank you. We are inside cabin this time around so will make sure to pack my hair dryer. Thanks again.

  7. Hi Shirley,

I'm feeling that way, and from speaking with several guests and crew onboard, they are all sensing the same thing. While I totally understand and respect Celebrity's goal to engage younger Guests, I strongly feel they should cater to *everyone*, not just one specific age group. If the economy declines again (and I believe it will), then Celebrity will need their older & most loyal guests more than ever. I strongly feel that if we get a downturn, Celebrity will regret such short-sighted decisions.

I am sorry to hear this as well. I think its unfortunate that they are wanting to cater more to the younger set. Andy is right ... the older crowd are the most loyal. Isn't that where we are all heading ?

  8. Hi Christine,

I mentioned in one of yesterday's posts, the hair dryers remain in the bathrooms. That I'm aware of, there's no fee to use the Gym equipment. I hope this helps.

Sorry Andy! I was looking for a response and re-read the thread and didn't see it. Someone had posted that there was another hair dryer in the cabin as well.

Thank you for your answers. Much appreciated.

I will read this thread again in case I missed something else.

  9. Hi Andie,

Can you confirm whether or not they have hair dryers in the cabin (as well as with the wall-unit devide in the bathroom)? I'm just trying to figure out my packing.

Another question: Is there a fee to use the gym. DH has a shoulder injury and would like to know if he can go there to continue his therapy. He's just looking to lift weights.

    Thank you.

  10. When we were on the Connie in Feb that was indeed the case. However, we didn't find it until doing our final sweep of packing to go home. My wife's face was priceless.

While we didn't use it, I have read it is one of those w a trigger that you have to hold down the entire time it is in use. As someone who does not have enough hair to ever consider blow drying, Im not sure if that is a big deal or not!

Thanks Team Stag, that is great news! More room for shoes in the suitcase.

Most hotel-type hair dryers have that feature where you must hold down the thingy the entire time the appliance is used. I am fine with that.

  11. Hi Christine,

That I recall, Connie still has the hair dryer in the bathroom. As for anything special ? Well... we feel the entire ship is special. If you are able to do so, why not enjoy a Specialty Dinner at Tuscan Grille or Ocean Liners. We've had many wonderful meals in both venues. If Michaels Club has a good entertainer onboard, it's one of our favorite places.

Thanks for your kind comments about my Live from Constellation thread. As long as the internet cooperates, I plan to try it again on Thursday's sailing.

    Andy,

Thank you for your quick response. I'll make sure to pack my hair dryer!

DH and I quite enjoy the MDR and having dinner with our tablemates, but will take your suggestion under advisement :). We have been to Murano, Tuscan Grill and Bistro on Five in the past and food and service were wonderful. Will see where this cruise takes us...

Looking forward to getting on board...

  12. Loved your 'live from Constellation' from a few weeks ago. DH and I will be sailing her on a b2b in early April.

I am sure this question has been asked numerous times and its about hair dryers. Does the Constellation still have those hair dryers that hang on the wall in the bathroom? If they do, I'll pack my travel dryer as I prefer drying my hair in the bedroom while DH uses the bathroom. It gets a bit hot in there to dry hair.

This is our first time on M-class. Is there anything special we should be looking for while on board ?

    Have a wonderful trip!

    Thank you.

  13. We used RomeCabs in September 2009 and again in October 2011 for transfers from FCO to our hotel, transfers from two different hotels to Civitavecchia and then again for a group of us from the port to FCO and each and every transfer was handled professionally, with courtesy and timeliness. Would recommend them again and again.
