  1. I generally stick with just purchasing a few that I like best. If I had a large family as some others have described, I would certainly consider it - and would make sure to get photos taken all over.

I have found that some of the best pictures taken of me ever have been by cruise ship photographers. Maybe it's the sea air! Maybe it's because I'm happy I'm on vacation!

  2. I bought and used the vacuum bags - and the room steward did bring us a vacuum, but I really didn't like them at all. As stated on here, the weight alone seemed to increase when using these. Also, the issue I had surrounded size. Once they are compressed, that's their size. There's no scrunching the end over to squeeze something else in the bag next to it, its just one hard package that can't be manipulated at all. It's doesn't stay in a perfect square, which would help.

  3. The problem I'm having is I'm not getting any regular emails from RCI. I only have received emails for things I've ordered (like Voom) or replies from Special Needs. I'm a C&A member - and I checked to verify they have the right email address. Any idea why I wouldn't receive regular emails?

Wow, I get constant emails from them, like at least one a day.

  4. I just signed too. After doing Princess to Hawaii, hubby and I started doing Royal in the Caribbean. We were looking to book something closer to home (Oregon) and very disappointed in what Royal has to offer. Airfare is pretty costly to the east coast. We were hoping to book a couple of cruises closer to home to build up our points faster. Closer to home we could do more last minute cruises instead of booking a year in advance like we do for east coast.

  5. Thank you for this post. Was renting a bungalow worth it? How far away to the water were they?

We were glad we rented it. Very close to the water. Imagine the water, then a short distance away from the edge is a long row of chairs, then behind another long row of chairs, then maybe 10 feet and then the row of bungalows. The bungalows are in the shade which is really nice.

  6. When I was there last month, upon booking it mentioned 2 lounge chairs. However, when we arrived, there were two long rows of lounge chairs that were reserved for the bungalows. It wasn't as if each bungalow had their own, but rather these two rows were only for use of those with the bungalows. We saw them chase off other people trying to get to them.

Looking at my photos, I counted at least 40 chairs for the bungalow people. We were a group of 6 and had no problem getting 6 chairs next to each other.

  7. Thank you for your review. A little disappointed about the water situation. Is it still swim-able? Also....are the bathrooms, eateries, bar nearby? Is this section of Labadee crowded? One more please.....is there a butler/cabana boy available to get your cocktails?

Yes, it is still swimmable, I was in the water for quite a while.

Yes, the bathroom and BBQ food is very close. And you can get your food and bring it back to the bungalow to eat if you wish. There are two butler/cabana boys available to get your cocktails.

The section is as far to the end as you can go, you can see the water park, next to that is the open area, and then the bungalow area is at the end. Some of the bungalows were empty so there weren't that many people, but there are definitely people around.

  8. We rented one just last week. I booked under my name only @$250 and there was space for 8 people. There were 6 of us that shared it. It was very comfortable for that many to sit there. and 2 more would not have been hard.

We could tell they were new. The cooler had 6 large bottles of Evian water. We got 2 floater mats. It was shaded sitting there. They had 2 towels there. I'm guessing you could have gotten more towels and maybe water but we had brought our own from the ship.

I think there were only 8 available to rent. There were two rows of beach chairs lined up in front of them for all of those who rented them to share. There were always lots of beach chairs available.

The only downside was the swim area was right next to a small boat dock. The boats that docked here, how shall I say it, needed a little maintenance. They spit out lots of black smoke when they were running. It left the ocean water in the area a little greasy/oily from the motors.

Oh, be sure to take the ferry or the tram over there so you don't have to walk so far!
