1. Sees Candy are all over Californi. if you go to any big mall there they are and that is the problem. Just try to walk by one of their stores and the smells that come out their stores makes you want to go in there and dive into all of that chocolate. :D

  2. You can walk it but it is quite a bit of walking. The shuttles are right outside once you get off of the ship. They are easy to spot. the last time I took the shuttle it was $6.00pp. They take you to the Inner Harbor right beside the empress Hotel which is right on the water. That is also the place where you take the bus back to the ship. They come at every 1/2 to 1 hr. They will tell you.

  3. I read on another thread that someone suggested purchasing nice keychains when the ornaments aren't available, removing the hardware and adding ribbon for instant ornaments. This sounds like a good idea to me. Do you know if the Princess ships have nice keychains of the ships?

Yes they do. As a matter of fact I have the key chains of the ships that I have been on. Now I keep the hardware(keychain) on and just put a hook through it and hang it on the tree. By the way they are nice looking with the ship outline and the name of the ship.

  4. Go over to the Princess main board and under Search this Forum just put in Nicaguara. There is some info there but the port stop is San Del Sur or something like that. I am making this trip but not until next april but on the Coral so it sure helps me a lot. Maybe you might get some ideas from some of the web site the thread provided.

  5. Anybody who plays "sucker games" like Bingo, the Lottery, or penny slot machines is just setting himself up to lose. If they are that dumb, they deserve everything they get - or lose.

I agree with the above poster in that was very insulting to say we were dumb in playing penny slots. Now no one out there is expecting to win HUGE on a penny machine. I do it for strickly for entertainment, I take a certain amount of monies to spend in the casino. When it is spent I leave. I certainly do not think I am dumb in anyway.

Now here is a question for the OP. I was also on the same cruise as you and besides the topic of Bingo, what else did you like about the cruise. Did you have a great time, what shore excursions did you do; did you enoy the amenties of the ship. We certainly did and really enjoyed the International Cafe I was just wondering if there was other things you enjoyed besides Bingo.

  6. I am in complete agreement on Kenley. Now I have said it before and I will say it again, that girl just rubs me the wrong way. Does it seem like all she knows is vintage clothes? That is all she does. But my luck she will still be on and i also saw the previews for next week. This should be a lulu. I think the three going to Bryant Park will be Leanne, Korto and Jerell.

  7. Like I said a couple of weeks ago. There is something about Kenley that drives me clear up the wall and last nite proved it. She truly thinks that she is beyond any criticism and she was truly obnoxious last nite. Blaine needed to go.  Teri did have an attitude so she goes.

  8. Okay Kenyon needs to stop whining about her model quitting. It's not like she's the first designer this has happened to - and at least she has time to refit her outfit.

I usually do not post on this thread but I do read what everyone's opinons are. Am I the only one that thinks that Kenley think that she is too good from everyone else?? She has such an attitude with her little smirks, laughs etc. and this last nite the constant whining. She designs o.k. but she is rarely in the top 3 or for that matter in the bottom 3. Just so-so.

  9. Marilyn -- Is this what is also known as "US Direct" program??? I am curious because I would like to do this on my upcoming AK cruise, when we get off the ship in Vancouver & head to YVR. Just want to know if this is the same thing so I am not confused.

    Thanks

    Renée

Renee, yes it is. I have no idea why they changed the name but they did. it is one in the same. You will find the info about mid cruise in your mailbox to sign up.

  10. Let me tell you, if passengers don't take advantage of this option in Vancouver, they should.

Disembarked the Coral Princess in Vancouver yesterday (8/4) after a fantastic 8-day land tour and 7-day cruise.

This option ($16 per person) was unbelievable, went so smooth and we by-passed the main terminal. We were off the ship, and sitting at the gate at 9:30 a.m.

Heard passengers complaining (as they were arriving late) that they didn't do it because of the cost (oh pulease!)

I've sat in the Vancouver terminal and stood in line for close to 3 hours to go thru check-in and customs and this would have been worth much more than $16!

I have to agree with you. We just did this on our last cruise on the Coral in Vancouver and it was as it says. Very easy, no trouble, everything worked out perfect and did not see our luggage until SFO where we got off.

  11. The above poster is correct but you have to wait until usually after final payment before you can go into the spa listing on your personalizer. I found that out the hard way. It will say Spa services or something like that is available just like your shore excursions would say.

  12. I got my stamp on my 2nd cruise! How do I go about get a stamp for the 1st cruise I took? We were on one of the short cuises aboard the Caribbean Princess in May. I tried to see the Cruise Circle person, and also called and left a message for her. She was never at her desk when I would check during the entire cruise, nor did she return my phone call. Would really like to keep my passport and have it complete. As I am sure I will be going on many more cruises (the next in Janauary!) The cruise bug has bitten hard!!!

You do not get the stamp and passport until your second cruise. Now if you would like the first you can ask the Captain circle person on board to see if she would get you one. I happened to have a friend who was on my first cruise but it was his 4th and he made me a copy of it.

Also I have always had the stamps delievered on the first day of each cruise. Your room stewaard is supposed to put them in your room. If you did not get one, just ask him or go to the Cap. Circle person on board.

  13. I have been to both towns many times and they each have their own disdinctive areas going for them. Since you mentioned the age range from 6-67 there might be more at Skagway for you to do. There are many more excursions to pick from than Sitka. Also as a above poster mentioned Sitka is a tender port and I do know that on our last cruise there for some reason it took forever to get off of the ship which made less time in port. Port time in Skagway is usually very long where in Sitka it is alot less. So that might help you with your decision. Whatever way you go both towns have their own unique style.
