  1. O.K. Irish here goes. I was also on the same cruise as she and besides eating our way throughout the ship the one thing that I did miss was good old Mexican food like we get here in Calif. The mexican food on the ship is not bad but hey out here we have more mexican restaurants in our town than anything else. Also we have a very good hamburger place we use here in town that is a little bit better than the one on the ship although that is not bad.

Oh, I forgot once in awhile I like a good old fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

    P.S. Good topic, Irish

  2. Your welcome. It was the prettiest port we hit on our Panama Canal cruise. I would love to go back. It get so few ships that the water is still beautiful . Port is very clean. A great stop.

This is one of our stops next year on a transcanal cruise on the Coral. I looked at the excursions and I was wandering what you did or anything that you can suggest. I have done a search and not much comes up. Thanks.

  3. For my first three cruises I always packed a book. Every single time I came home and never read one page. The reason was I would sit in a lounge chair, or at a table by the bar and pool and ended up people watching and sometimes there would be people sitting next to myself and DH and we ended up making new friends. So I know longer bring a book, magazine etc.

  4. I am also the planner in the family. it is just my DH and I and I find out cruises that I think would be interesting, then ask him; sometimes he says nah but most of the time he goes along with the plan. What is really neat is to have 1 cruise already in the works (this Oct. on the Sapphire) and put down a deposit on a future cruise next Feb. to the carribbean. Heck I am already thinking about going back to Alaska even though we have been there twice but there is just something about the place that we like. We have been very fortunate in doing two cruises a year. Heck I have all sorts of ideas about future cruises.

    Happy sailing.

  5. I have sailed on big ships and small ships and this is just my opinion I like the size that holds around 1950 passengers. Right in the middle. But if you like lots and lots of different activities than go for the bigger ships. Like the poster just said talk to your T>A> and she can show you the different cruise lines phamphlets.
