  1. Sitting in the Diamond Lounge on Serenade as I read this post. So I went up to Mario and asked him about any changes starting May 1st. He stated that he has heard nothing yet to any changes to the DL. He said if there were to be a change and it would be fleet wide and he would surely know.

    .

Could you please ask Mario why the Liberty has changed their Lounge status????

The D+ have been kicked out of the Concierge Lounge/Suite Lounge.

  2. OK - I've been reading this thread and I have a little bit of a rant...so hear I go.

Just my thoughts - This particular rant is concerning the Liberty of The Seas. I really do not understand how they can be changing the rules of the Concierge Lounge on a Freedom class ship. They can call the CL anything they want, so they named it a Suite Lounge. But this Suite Lounge does not have a Coastal Kitchen area and it does not serve breakfast and lunch nor the mimosas in the morning or beer at noon time. So my point is...it is just a different location for the Concierge Lounge. It should have the same benefits as the rest of the freedom class fleet which means Suite, Pinnacles and D+ Crown/Anchor members are welcome at anytime with the use of their room key.

And that is what the Royal Caribbean website states. I will be on the Liberty May 1st and I will print off a copy of their amenities list to take with me when I go.

Thank you for letting me say what was on my mind. Love you guys!

  3. Just got off the Liberty of the Seas. I wanted to come on this thread and voice my opinion of both Concierges (CL and DL). They were both a pathetic representation for RCL. Carlos in the CL and Anis in the DL. Neither of them got out from behind their desk to meet anyone or introduce themselves or to serve drinks.

Usually when there are so many D, D+ and P's onboard, the HD or Food/Beverage Director will open up an overflow. They did not and will not. I do hope your experience will be more pleasant than ours was.

  4. Can anyone confirm whether Ryno Strapp is the Concierge in the Diamond Lounge on Adventure? And whether he will still be there for the last week of October?

    Thanks

We just got off the Adventure Sept. 26th and yes Ryno was the Concierge in the DL. But I can't tell you if he will still be on the last week of October. Sorry:( We loved Ryno. He was very accommodating

  5. What did you think of their beach? From the photos I've seen, it looks a bit strange to me, like it's within a cove being blocked by a dock or something.

It is in a cove, but you could walk out and there were people snorkeling. I thought the beach was beautiful. You can go on the other side of the resort and pool area and there is the ocean. We don't swim so we did not attempt to go in and did not see people in that part. The whole place was just beautiful.

  6. Wow - thanks, but no thanks Skiiergirl.....$100-200 taxi ride....that is a ridiculous price! I was hoping someone would say $40-50 each way and not per person. I guess we will just stay close to the ship and go to a beach somewhere closer in.

  7. Did they give you an all inclusive price to purchase directly from the resort? Just wondered if it was the same price as resortsforaday.com. I don't know what a taxi would cost, but considering the distance, it would probably not be cheap.

No she did not offer any additional info and no inclusive price. She said it would get you on the property with a voucher to use all facilities and then drinks, lunch, and beach activities would be an additional charge.

  8. I'm so confused about this place (Santa Barbara Resort). It is true that it has now gone up. It is now offering day passes again. I emailed the Resort directly and was told that a day voucher could be attainable at the front desk for $26 and that would entitle one to spend the day at the Resort. Everything would be a la carte after that.

My question is how much would be the taxi cab ride over to the Resort?

  9. Hi Guys

Thinking of going on the Navigator of the Seas, is there still a nightclub/late night bar? I see in the re-fit rooms where added where the old Dungeons Nightclub was. Also are the drink packages 24 hour or have a time limit?

    Thanks

The Dungeon is basically been moved to the Viking Crown Lounge at night. Usually starting at around 10pm. The place is packed and rockin and yes there will be a full service bar. They usually go until about 2am in the morning.

  10. The rep told me that you can make one change without the OBC reverting to the $25 open booking amount. If you get a chance can you see if you can get confirmation of that? Thanks

This is not the case that happened to us. We had a "decide now" booking with OBC of $100 and I had to change the date when we got home. They changed the date of the cruise, but dropped me to $25 OBC:mad:
