  1. Will Eula be on Feb 18, 2014 sailing? I hope you will be on the Star too, you are excellent, but if not you can you send one of the Biily's? Is Pauly on or be on the star (cruise staff-asst Cd) thanks! Seadeck2

  2. Hello Slomotion,

Having had nearly all suites on Princess Ships, another one who spends too much $$ on the room.

The PH basically gets you a desk in the entry and a little deeper balcony, the wake is a noisier.

Personally I prefer Vista suites or GS suites. Beam was not an issue at all, the view, and the sound of the wake was amazing. We could see dolphins/whales better when higher up (easier to spot). You will not be disappointed and I hope you got a Dolphin aft! Enjoy the suite life.

  3. Hello, If you read the passage contract e-sigs are not allowed on balconies or inside the ship and if smoking one and a passenger complains it will (per contract) or can lead to a fine. Just be aware.

Norweign, Royal Caribbean, Holland and Seabourn still allow smoking on balconies and some of the lines in rooms. Good luck!

  4. Does anyone know if there is a smoking section on deck 14 or 15 above the grand suites on the aft of the Sapphire, Golden or Star? Thank you and sorry to hear about the atrium on the Emerald PescadoA. We may now rethink a 10 day on the Emerald. On the CB we only noticed cigarette smoke bad in atrium a few days. You are correct PescadoA. most ships in the atrium where the casino is off the atrium it is bad. Wonder how they will handle smoking on the new Royal?

The CB in January had a smoking section above the GS, cigarettes and ash all over balcony. Starboard side Promenade midship, casino, Churhills and aft decks 15 and above Port side.

  5. Found out that smokers are not supposed to be hanging a cigarette over Promenade railling or any other railing and not supposed to flick ashes overboard either. On our recent CB sailing had this happening, also another smoking section was on Deck 15 and up in the aft, we were on Deck 12 GS suite and smokers flicking ashes onto our balcony from wee early hrs to late hrs. There are burn marks on the balcony floor as well. Smoke also billowed back in under the covered area on our balcony. The smoking recepticles were hanging on the railing overlooking the wake on deck 15. Hopefully Princess will remove them from this deck as the OS and a PH are next to the GS. on deck 12, from Decks 15 and up on the aft you can see onto the deck 12 balconies. Yes, I know in order to fill cabins smokers need to be accomodated. I understand the smoking sections are not currently uniform on every ship. Glad a warning was given first I too think that is fair.

  6. On the page that you select Princess Cruises, just below the cruise lines are roll calls, select Princess Roll Calls, go to Caribbean Princess and find the dates of 1-26 or 2-9-13. Let me know if you are still unable to locate and I would be happy to assist you further. Thanks, Seadeck2

  7. Hello Yo Adrienne, if you want to go to the CB rollcall for 1-26-13 or 2-6-13 and leave your email address I can send you photos. Due to pixel size cannot post here.

B750 is more spacious than 751, has a large living room, had to see tv if watching from sofa so moved chairs around. Has a nice sized dining room table near front door that seats 4, balcony is long and narrow -has a beam (no problem though). We have noticed that the aft balconies are not as deep as other grand class ships.

On the Grand B751 PH has a smaller balcony than most other ships aft PH balcony, but felt more spacious than OS balcony and no beam. We prefer the PH, but it depends on what you want in your room.

We have stayed in the Princess Suite on the Grand, while nice, balcony is small if wanting to dine outside, you get a much better table for dining in room in the OS than the GS. This Princess GS was very noisy in early morning hrs carts moving above us starting around 4am and all day. The ship does "jump" and very noticeably in the aft of the ship, careful walking, only ship had to hold onto rail in shower. You would love whichever room you choose, great ship and cabins. Have a nice cruise.

  8. Hellol Bequia,

Thank you very much and very much appreciate your posts.

Embassy suites highly recommend, close to pier and walking distance to shops, grocery, restaurants, dollar tree, Ross, etc. We felt safe walking around here.

  9. PS suites are only on the aft of the ship while PH are on the aft and sides of the ship. PS suites have obstructed small balconies (compared to the other full suites), PH have unobstructed larger balconies. Have not stayed in PS, have heard the balcony is not as nice as a VS. VS is the only suite without the plant stand and desk and I think we will do just fine?.

  10. Thanks for the photos, looks just like mine. Suites OS, PH, PS and VS all bathrooms are the same. The only difference I have noticed is on the Ruby in the VS suites there are not shelves on the wall next to the sink, not sure how they left these off, so only place to put stuff is on the sink counter.

The WS bathroom is very nice, one long room 2 sinks, lots of storage, hand held shower head, jacuzzi tub with back jets. GS bathrooms are also different, usually 2 seperate sinks.

If I was going for a bathroom I would chose a Window Suite, just my opinion.

The accessible cabins I have heard are also very nice, large walk in shower and larger room. Enjoy your cruise and feel free to pm me for photos, have GS photos too. Appreciate your assistance Roxymax.

  11. Gambee, best review and photos ever!!! Thank you so very much for all of the wonderful memories you have shared, we appreciate your taking time to do this very much. You have taken some of the intimidation and stress out of taking one of these giants and we thank you for that. Where are you going next, do not want you to stop doing these comprehensive indepth reviews. Please do a thread of where you will be cruising next. We felt like we were cruising with you on this Christmas day as we dream of being on OAS or AOS next year. We have not cruised RCCL in a long time and miss it.

Wishing you and your BF the best and a happy new year with more reviews. Seadeck2
