Will be sailing on Anthem soon, where do I get the RCI tablet APP,

 

I'm on Android and cannot find it in the play store.

 

we also have an ipad so could use it not available on Android

Just checked a cruise that is out of the US we are interested in for 2016

 

prices definitely cheaper on US site but the offers are different

 

US Site has BOGO half with cruise and premium drinks

UK site for same cruise has higher prices but FREE premium drinks + Free Grads for both

 

I'm sure these will equate out to be very similar ££ and ££ to RCI

 

I'm Convinced RCI know exactly the amount they want for each cabin and adjust the packages/deals to attract different customers at different times

really shocked pricing the same cruise we booked on the UK site, the US site is way more expensive and does not include OBC or drinks packages etc.

 

Maybe its not always more expensive to book from UK

I can confirm the ports were disabled on the TV's on all my RCI cruises. I even found the codes required (online) to go into admin mode but could not get a response.

 

asking at customer services I was told its a security risk in case my camera uploads a virus onto the ships systems :D

We have OBC on our next cruise and may struggle to use it since we have the drinks package included, Can we use OBC as cash in the casino?

 

How would we take the cash out? we don't gamble but a few $ on the slots maybe fun.

 

Last year we has a $ or so left of OBC and found this was credited to our card when we got home, Is this normal, would they credit $$$ amounts back to the card.

 

Is the system not clever enough to detect OBC rather than prepaid credit to the on board account?

recently returned from a royal Caribbean cruise which we had On Board credit, we understood spend it or lose it, however at the end of the crusie we has just over $1 left so let it go,

 

returning home we found this had been credited to our credit card.

 

I wonder if there was $*** left to spend, would this also be credited?

I assume no one has taken the chance :-)

I have recently had to call RCI uk phone lines and never get a local operator, From the accents I assume that English is not the first language and I find it difficult to understand them and visa versa.

It does not give me confidence trying to make changes to my booking

 

Has anyone else found this, Are the US lines also transferred off shore?

We have booked an equinox cruise that included the drinks and tips promo ( via UK website) is it possible to upgrade our cabin to a better grade and still keep the promo, since with the promo not now available the prices have dropped , making an upgrade quite attractive option

we sailed twice on independence from UK and smoking was not allowed inside, however last year on adventure out of UK it was allowed in the casino,

does anyone know what the policy will be on anthem out of the UK this year?

I have a cruise booked that has on board credit, we have pre payed the gratuity. Before final payment can we cancel the pre payed gratuity and use our on board credit to pay the gratuities

We will be on anthem in June, I read that the grand restaurant is formal , how formal is it, since there are no ship wide formal nights , how does it work with most in casual for the other restaurants, do we need to take a suit or would smart shirt etc be okay

Just checked my online account, yes the drinks Package shows in the history as a purchase,

if you want it on your invoice, by email, give them a call and they will confirm all is okay and will send out a new invoice

 

The drinks, credit and tips then show as purchases added and then debited, I.e refunded

It seems the drinks Package gets added later and they send out a new invoice.

 

I found this when I rang up and they issued me a new invoice, fully detailing the additions.

 

I don't know why they don't do this automatically , since there must be 100's of customers ringing up asking questions about this.

 

No mention on the web site FAQ either.

 

It was similar with our RCL booking we had to call up to get an invoice showing our drinks package.

 

I new it was going to be added later but there nothing like seeing it in black and white on the invoice.

I've been reading all the threads concerning price increases on Royal Caribbean, and are wondering if Celebrity are going to follow suite

 

Its seems the minimum price for mixed drinks on RCl is 10$ +18%

if Celebrity follow suite most drinks currently in the lowe drinks package won't be included anymore,

 

Which will result in most needing to upgrade to the premium package

 

I hope not , as we booked the cruise because of what was included in the package at the time of booking.

The two attached lists were valid last August when sailing on Equinox around the Med for the select package

 

However I notice the link (on the first page) show drinks on the attached list now on the Premier Package

 

Its strange how they make the decision of what beers are on the select package and the premier package, I assume its decided in the US, hence when in Europe, some of the cheaper beers in Europe appear as premium on the ship

In 2013 we sailed on independence out of UK and there was no smoking in side even in the casino, it was great to not have to breath second hand smoke

last year we sailed on a venture ou of UK and smoking was allowed in the casino, which meant the smoke came out of all entrances to the casino, up the spiral onto the prom etc, hence it made using the bars adjoining the casino no go areas

this year we ail on anthem out of UK, I hope there is no smoking in the casino, as it seems quantum has problems with smoke spying out to adjoining areas. :(

 

Yes we do use Celebrity and it's fantastic having smoke free inside the ship,

 

Why don't they allow people to book smoking balconies? Where all a

smoking balconies are Al together.

 

We sail with royal, because we like the new ships but we would like them to be smoke free inside

How did you meet up with the hire car rep at the pier (when you say pier do you mean as you walk off the ship)

 

How did you return the car? did you need to arrange a time to hand over the keys?

 

I assume you had prebooked the car online before arrival?

or were there cars for rental at the pier (signup and pay there and then)?

We will be stopping at Lisbon in June and I assume it will be at the port half way between belam and Lisbon.

 

Can we purchase a ticket that is valid for the train to belam and back to Lisbon that also covers the metro and trams? We would prefer a day ticket if possible rather than buying individual tickets.

 

Can the tickets be purchased at the port? or at the train station or elsewhere

Do you mean they sent you another invoice with the package included after two weeks?

I've already had two invoices, the first with no OBC, then a second showing the OBC, but no drinks on either

 

The booking was made during the offer period (it actually runs out today)

We are UK based and have sailed to the Med many times, and are struggling to find cruises to ports we have not visited before, it would be nice if the cruise lines were to vary the ports rather than keeping to the same routes year after year.

 

With European cruises, its more the ports than the ship that attracts us.

 

Last year for some variety we tried the Iceland and Norwegian fiords 14 night cruise from Southampton.

 

We really enjoyed this especially the mid night sun as we were there for the longest Day (21st June), Sun set occurred around 12.30 AM and rose 15 minutes later ( when we were in the Arctic circle)

Here in the uk they are allowing bookings with a very low deposit,

If the prices drop, in such a way as the savings made are greater than the deposit, surely it will be better to cancel and rebook at the lower price / better deal. Especially the case for those who booked at the wrong time when prices were higher.
