  1. Sounds like a fabulous itinerary! We did the 12 night Med cruise on the Regal in 2014 and loved it. I would agree with what so many have said ...do your homework and book private tours. We saved so much money and time doing it that way. Rick Steves book was so very helpful. We loved Rome (wish we could have spent a week there), liked Ephesus, Istanbul and Athens. If you have any questions about the private tours we did I would be happy to share. I am a real planner and spent a lot of time researching the best private tour companies in the ports we visited.

  2. Is anyone else having problems with the Princess website today? I am looking into March 2017 cruises and the site keeps telling me that the departure date is too close to complete the booking! I know I can call Princess but I am not yet ready to book but am trying to find what cabins are still available etc.

  3. Thank you all for your replies. I called Princess and they explained that these were credits from our first Princess cruise that had never been applied to either of the more recent cruises. I guess I had assumed they were automatically applied but was informed that they are not. And yes, thankfully my husband opened the mail that day because I would have assumed they were junk mail and shredded them. There is nothing on the envelope that indicates they have anything to do with Princess. Getting ready to book my next cruise and will make sure our recent credits do get applied! Thanks again everyone!!:)

  4. So we just received two checks reimbursing my dh and me ($100 each)for future cruise credits we made on our last cruise in 2015. Very confused as to why they would do this. Trying to call them now. Has anyone else had this happen??

  5. We did the Grand Med last July and yes it was HOT!! The best advice I got was to bring an umbrella which at first I thought was ridiculous but ended up being the best thing I packed!

It was well over 100 degrees in Kusadasi and on our excursion to Pompeii and that umbrella was priceless! That and bringing water bottles on every excursion!

We absolutely did NOT notice many children on our cruise which actually surprised (pleasantly) us and those that were on board were all very well behaved.

Did not notice mosquitos at all in Venice.

  6. I prefer Sabatini's to CG....my husband prefers CG so we make sure to eat at both each cruise. I love the Burratta as my appetizer and get the Penne con Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib over penne, grana padano) as my main dish. It is so good that I want to lick the plate clean!!!

  7. We were on the Regal last week in Riviera 321 and I have to say we felt the motion. In fact, I have had motion sickness for the last 3 days since getting off the ship. This was our first time being on that high of a deck and for us, in the future, we will be moving back down to Caribe.

  8. We were on the Regal this summer for the Grand Mediterreanean cruise. While we were docked in Athens and enjoying time at the Retreat pool one of our friends slipped getting into the pool and fell. She ended up breaking her leg badly and having to be taken off the ship, having surgery at a hospital in Athens and being hospitalized there for over a week! Thank goodness for trip insurance!

  9. We are booked on the Regal Princess this March and booked cabin R417. After looking more closely and reading more about the deck plans I am rethinking this decision. I am concerned about being under the Seawalk. Not sure if my concern is warranted or not. Any thoughts or advice would really be appreciated. Thanks so much fellow cruisers!!
