So funny you say that about Venice because my husband was saying "Oh it doesn't matter which side you book on" and then I reminded him of our Med cruise and how we were on the wrong side for sailing into Venice!!

Thank you so much for your help Paul!

We are getting ready to book the 10 day Eastern Caribbean Voyager cruise and I would love some input as to which side is better in terms of views. Thanks so much for any help you can give me!

Sounds like a fabulous itinerary! We did the 12 night Med cruise on the Regal in 2014 and loved it. I would agree with what so many have said ...do your homework and book private tours. We saved so much money and time doing it that way. Rick Steves book was so very helpful. We loved Rome (wish we could have spent a week there), liked Ephesus, Istanbul and Athens. If you have any questions about the private tours we did I would be happy to share. I am a real planner and spent a lot of time researching the best private tour companies in the ports we visited.

Strange because it is only happening for the 10 night southern caribbean and 10 night eastern caribbean. Just checked again and it is still happening!

Is anyone else having problems with the Princess website today? I am looking into March 2017 cruises and the site keeps telling me that the departure date is too close to complete the booking! I know I can call Princess but I am not yet ready to book but am trying to find what cabins are still available etc.

Thank you all for your replies. I called Princess and they explained that these were credits from our first Princess cruise that had never been applied to either of the more recent cruises. I guess I had assumed they were automatically applied but was informed that they are not. And yes, thankfully my husband opened the mail that day because I would have assumed they were junk mail and shredded them. There is nothing on the envelope that indicates they have anything to do with Princess. Getting ready to book my next cruise and will make sure our recent credits do get applied! Thanks again everyone!!:)

So we just received two checks reimbursing my dh and me ($100 each)for future cruise credits we made on our last cruise in 2015. Very confused as to why they would do this. Trying to call them now. Has anyone else had this happen??

Chris...thank you so much for doing this wonderful live report. It is awesome! We have sailed twice on the beautiful Regal and your photos are bringing back great memories! Have fun!

For us it is:
1. Itinerary
2. Time of year
3. Ship (but only a PCL ship!)
In the planning phase right now!

Thank you all so much! We were leaning towards the Eastern but now you all have us looking more seriously at the Southern!

We are in the planning process for our 2017 cruise and having a hard time deciding between these two itineraries. Anyone been on either of these because I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks so much!

We did the Grand Med last July and yes it was HOT!! The best advice I got was to bring an umbrella which at first I thought was ridiculous but ended up being the best thing I packed!
It was well over 100 degrees in Kusadasi and on our excursion to Pompeii and that umbrella was priceless! That and bringing water bottles on every excursion!
We absolutely did NOT notice many children on our cruise which actually surprised (pleasantly) us and those that were on board were all very well behaved.
Did not notice mosquitos at all in Venice.

We were on the Regal March 1-8 this year and it was wonderful. Saw very few teens or smaller kids. We spent most of our time at the Retreat pool which is adults only. Worked very well for my husband and me!

I prefer Sabatini's to CG....my husband prefers CG so we make sure to eat at both each cruise. I love the Burratta as my appetizer and get the Penne con Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib over penne, grana padano) as my main dish. It is so good that I want to lick the plate clean!!!

We were on the Regal last week in Riviera 321 and I have to say we felt the motion. In fact, I have had motion sickness for the last 3 days since getting off the ship. This was our first time being on that high of a deck and for us, in the future, we will be moving back down to Caribe.

Just off the Regal on March 8th and we had the All Inclusive drink package and gelato WAS included in the package. We went several times to Gelato's and it was included each time.

Loving your review and pictures!! Thank you so much for sharing!

We are thinking of renting a bungalow in March while at Princess Cay and I am wondering if the only difference between the Private Bungalow and Sanctuary Bungalow is that the Sanctuary one is adults only? Is this right? Thanks for your help!!

We were on the Regal this summer for the Grand Mediterreanean cruise. While we were docked in Athens and enjoying time at the Retreat pool one of our friends slipped getting into the pool and fell. She ended up breaking her leg badly and having to be taken off the ship, having surgery at a hospital in Athens and being hospitalized there for over a week! Thank goodness for trip insurance!

We were at Sapphire 2 years ago and were able to rent chairs then. Is this still available? If not are there any other beaches you would recommend that do rent chairs? My dh has a back problem and could not spend the day at a beach without one. Just looking for a laid back beach with chairs, food and drinks available. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much everyone for your help. After reading your posts and watching the video MarKay525 posted I have changed our cabin. Thanks again!

Thanks Wineforhealth. I guess my concerns are privacy (not that we plan on being on our balcony naked or anything, haha!!), noise and mainly a lack of sun on the balcony due to the Seawalk.

We are booked on the Regal Princess this March and booked cabin R417. After looking more closely and reading more about the deck plans I am rethinking this decision. I am concerned about being under the Seawalk. Not sure if my concern is warranted or not. Any thoughts or advice would really be appreciated. Thanks so much fellow cruisers!!

We are contemplating booking one of these but have concerns about their location. Has anyone ever cruised in one of these suites? Thoughts??
