I am generally not affected by motion sickness but don't rule out the possibility.  However, my question for those in the know is, is Bonine a preventative or does it help after the onset of motion sickness?  I really don't like taking ANY medication or OTC stuff unless needed.

Bonine really works both ways.  I took it after I was starting to feel the effects of the motion and within 30 min I was fine but lately I’ve taken it the night before we fly or leave for the ship and that works well too.

If you are using something that works, why would you switch to something else? I also think a pill once a day would be easier than messing with a patch.

I know!!  I’m always open to new ideas but Bonine does work well for me.  Someone told me it was better then Bonine because it doesn’t make you sleepy.  I’m not 100% sure though if I’m tired from Bonine or from just staying up late and getting up early.

  3. I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this but want to ask anyway.  I know if you go from a balcony room to a suite you don’t get double points but what if you go from suite to another suite?  I’m assuming you would still get the double points since you were originally in a suite.

Eagle beach and Palm beach are busy.

If you can go further out, the beaches are quieter - Baby Beach, Malmok Beach or Arashi Beach.

    Malmok Beach best for snorkeling.

    All beaches are great.

Thank you. Will check those other beaches out.

  5. Our plan right now is to spend the day at the beach when we are in Aruba on December 5th.  We also plan to go to the dutch pancake house for breakfast before we head to the beach. This is our first time to Aruba  but we are thinking either Eagle beach or Palm beach. We enjoy a quiet beach but also like snorkeling.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on which beach to go to .

Best story in the water. Woman #1 talking to another woman #2 . Woman #1 asks woman #2 “Do you cruise a lot “? Woman #2 replies “Yes we cruise a lot maybe 4 to 6 times a year.” Woman #1 asks “are you pinnacle “? To which woman #2 replies “no we are catholic.” My cocktail went out of my nose laughing at that. A classic.

Just read this to my husband.  We are both dying from laughter over here.

We are on the current sailing (Grand Suite) and I had a few minutes to sit down with the Chef in CK as we boarded yesterday and we caught up, (have not seen him for a couple of months).

I mentioned that the menu had not been published in the app until the very day we boarded. He explained that the IT folks who populate the app "leave a bit to be desired." This is true as even the names of the entertainers had not been updated until boarding day.

In answer to the question as to menu, it is the same 7-day rotation that is on every Oasis class ship. You can set your clock by it 🙂

I look forward to the best thing on the menu (Thursday dinner, Red Wine Sorbet reduction on a Brownie tart for dessert)

    Thanks for that information.
