  1. I-95 is the second most traveled interstate. In South Carolina, it's only 2 -lanes the whole time , when you get to Ga. state line it opens up to 4 lanes,so it bottle's up traffic for a few miles and being around Easter it will be even worse. You should see it around Bowel time .It was backed for 37 miles.FLY JET BLUE.Cost wise it will be less$$ and you will enjoy your cruise more. IMO Carlyle

  2. Was on the Dream a few weeks ago,and won 2 seats at the 3 Card poker tournament on the Magic for Oct.28th sailing.Due to conflict with class reunion I can't make it,They are transferable and if any one has a bounce back offer they can go for free.you will have to pay port taxes. If you would want one or two of the seats (free) put your e-mail and I will get in touch with you. Carlyle

  3. Have done 3 PC and everyone has been a blast! A lot of drawings and gifts every night in your state room,DOU cards are for both of us and if you tip them A dollar you won't have to wait long to get a server, they will find you.Save your money and don't buy Cheers plan,Eat at Steak House first night and get a free bottle of wine, plus you can purchase up to 4 bottles of wine at half price to use in MDR for the rest of your cruise. They will keep it for you and bring it to your table. We only get $500 cash but our cabin is free.only have to pay port taxes.Next one is on Dream on 6/25 out of NO.Taking DD,and two Grand's ages 11 &17.DW and I did this same cruise in Feb and it was also a PC.Enjoy Carlyle

  4. Great review! I'll be on Dream in Feb.Haven't sailed out of NO on CCL in a few years and was wondering what time casino opens on first night? I know it takes about 8 hrs to reach the Gulf and on NCL andRCCL they didn't open up casino until next day.On the Conquest a few years ago, they opened after a couple hours after leaving NO. Thanks,Carlyle

  5. Yes,the dealer will take your chips from a cold table and swipe your card but with cash you'll have the attention of the pit boss and I'm talking about black chips.5 Bens looks better than 5 black chips any day. Works for me,haven't paid more than port taxes on last 8 cruises. If you see a player buy in with 20's the latter part of the week, the only machine he has hit was the ATM.Good luck and good sailing !

  6. If you put $500 on your S&S card per day, they charge you 3% per week that's $105 for the week even if you pay all of it back. They track amount bet times number of hrs.played.If you play average bet of $15-$25 per bet for 3-4 hrs per day you will get noticed. Not win or loose ,but average bet and play.Another tip, always buy in at table with CASH! Don't take your chips from another table for buy in at another table.Cash is King! you will receive more comps using that style of play.Casino staff is on top of everything even though they look busy, there watching you like a hawk!

  7. Yes,room is ready, luggage get there faster. Remember,The luggage tags that you print out has the same info as FTTF info.We just got back from Majic cruise that was not a preimer cruise and we had no priority or FTTF on tags.I can't see paying $70 more just to get on early, but thats just me.

  8. Mine says $500 cash and FTTF is on my luggage tags. When you drop off your luggage, the porters put them with ALL the FTTF and Priority boarding people. This is my 10th Preimer and I receive my $500 each time.I sure there are lower amounts of cash given, but the FTTF and Priority are the SAME!

  9. Premier Cruises are for Casino Players Club members. We pay just Port taxes for interior room, can upgrade if we want, get drinks on us cards from day one for player and guest and $500 cash and special prizes and drawings during cruise.Priority boarding and FTTF comes with this also.

  10. RCCL Diamond and Diamond+ have priority boarding and special get off early lounge, plus you have use of their Diamond Lounge that have light b'fast and light lunch and free cocktails, wine ,beer and special coffee every day and night, plu free internet,$250 off balcony, and laundry.Much better than CCL.Carlyle

  11. As a rule,I budget $300 per day for casino.I might not play ever day in casino,so that $300 goes to next day,so I have $600 for that day if I want.Gambling is LUCK and money management! As far as drinks on us cards, when I'm playing I drink diet-coke.I was taught many years ago by a fellow cruiser that were his three rules of gambling.Rule #1,don't bet with scared money(money you could't afford to lose) Rule #2,don't drink when you gamble. Why do you think they give you free drinks.Rule # 3 and the hardest rule of all,KNOW when to walk away!UP or down, take a break, when you want to come back, some one will be there. After many years of cruiseing,I hear and see people say I won $800 the first night. If you quite and don't play any more, yes you won $800.I also hear people say " I'm only going to lose $300"I tell them Give me $150 and I've cut your loses in half.On a cruise from day one,you are up or down, until you get off the ship you can declare if you won or lost.Carlyle

  12. Thanks all for info.I was just wondering about table games.I play three card poker for average of $25 per hand for about 4 hrs per day and some roulette for a break from poker.I have been on 76 cruises in the past 34 years, not all of them on CC.NCL,RCL and a few others and by far CC Players Club is the BEST! I get Premier and Ultra offers every 3 or 4 months.Booked on Majic 10/29 (Halloween) and Splendor 11/27 and Dream 02/19/17. All are Premier wit $500 cash back and DOU cards and other perks.Casino is my enterainment,DW does not gamble but likes to 'PEOPLE' watch in casino.I play this games ,because I don't have to think or add cards etc.It all boils down to luck and money management. There is no skill in the games I play.I get to known casino staff from day one and it helps as to what comps you will get .Thanks again for replys.Carlyle
